No, I didn't faced any issue. Did Northeast ride with these tyres. No problem whatsoever. In fact you get best of both worlds. TrailR is great for off-road, and tourR is good dual purpose tyre. PS. Only one thing that I noticed is, on good tarmac your ride is not that smooth because of the block patterns in rear.
I was considering the XL grip too, but ultimately decided on this one. I also spoke with the Reise team before making my purchase, and they were really helpful in advising me on the best option for my riding style and the terrain, especially since we're heading to the Northeast for some offroading.
