Thank you for this key message. Yes, you need to call things that are not as though they were and BELIEVE you have already received it, then let it go and not worry about it. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a crunch and then experienced a miracle right when I needed it. The trick is to be consistent and keep doing it, because it's so easy to forget when all hell has broken lose and you get pulled back into worry, anxiety, negative thinking and waiting for the worst outcome instead of hoping for the best.

I understand how you feel Ive had fibromyalgia a long time and some other circumstances but I needed this message too and the message before it. Look up the first part of this message it is on youtube as the cure for unbelief and doubt. I found this from that. We dont see as many miracles in America because we live in doubt and put our faith in the medical system that cant fix us. I was in the wof movement years ago, but the Lord opened my eyes to all scriptures they use that mostly are taken out of context. A great book to read is Christianity In Crisis by Hank Hanegraaff. So he kisses icons now, and prays to dead saints, adores the eucharist, and believes in transubstantiation. In fact, many Eastern Orthodox believe protestants are all "outside the church" and are going to hell. And you just recommended me his book? Have your converted to Eastern Orthodoxy? Are you considering it? I was part of WOF and can still listen to some of them easily (not all) and get some good truths, ignore the things I don't agree with. I can do that with Hank Hanegraaff as well. Hank has some fantastic insights, even though I think he has false doctrines too. So where does this all end? So you can see my approach is different to yours. I don't go to Hanks channel and call him a heretic. I could. You find false stuff with any minister. All those reformed guys have heaps of errors and bad doctrine. Some are just basic errors, some are wrong doctrines, but what makes Catholicism tricky is that these are dogmas and not doctrines. They will never change. At least protestants can say, yea I got it wrong. Hank can't do that now. I also think healing is happening more than you think today. We need to approach God with faith. I don't need to do "works" for my miracle, and "sow a seed". I need to understand that God might not heal and be ok with His plan, but a Christian's position should always be one of faith. I reject the "reformed' position on this, which is "just accept, be grateful and thank God." That doesn't require faith. That's lazy. That's for people who quench the Spirit. Their theology is on the opposite end of "sow a seed" for your miracle and just as bad.

I didn't have any information about what you believed. Hank wrote Christianity In Crisis back in the 80's I believe, Before he converted to the Eastern Orthodox faith. I agree with Hank on alot if things, but like you, I disagree with him on alot that he says. I believe in the gifts of the spirit are for today. I am definitely not a 5 fold Calvanist, it makes God out to be a monster. God honors faith when we ask him to heal us, and we can go the the Elders at church to be prayed for healing, James 5:16 If God doesn't heal us then we should trust God that he is sovereign and knows what's best for us. Even if God does heal us from some infirmity, it's just a bandage, bc. Something later on will come later where we will ask God for healing. Our ultimate healing will come in the Resurrection, Revelation 2:1-4 In the mean time our bodies are all wearing out like a tent, Because of our sinful nature. I have a sister who's been in the faith movement for 45 years, and just about died believing these prosperity Teachers, who spout off that it's always God will to heal. Out all my siblings she has had more ailments, sickness, and infirmities than my others brothers and sisters who are also born-again Spirit filled Christians. Kenneth Copeland is probably the most known wof Teacher alive today. His wife has dementia, and he says he has a pace maker, By faith. He brags he's going to live to 120 years old. Wasn't trying to cause cause any friction, but I've seen so many Christians have their faith shipwrecked by the health and wealth prosperity Gospel.

And he still has he show "the Bible man" on radio arguing against Protestantism! 😂 A few things I respond to: My mother in law died in 2021 aged 66 from cancer. Our position from day 1 was God can heal and we believe God will. However, like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo, we would still Praise God even if he didn't heal her. We had another friend from the "reformed" camp who told her to stop believing for healing and just enjoy the last 6 months of life and be grateful - love your family....etc" For us, that position required no faith. It was just a "give up" and accept and die. That's not faith. Anybody can do that. However, about 3 weeks before she died, she came to the conclusion that it might not be God's will for her to live, and she made that faith adjustment to accept that her time had come, and she would praise God for it. None of us, including her regretted taking that faith position. Another uncle of mine who died of cancer was believe for healing, but in his own prayer life came to a strong and resolute position God was not going to heal. I respected that and it impressive to watch him get impatient with God and say "hurry up God". But he was a man of prayer, had lots of exposure to WOF, but understood that healing wasn't magic and that God may not heal. His maturity in His walk with God allowed him to accept it. But his experience was different to what our "reformed" friend was saying. That lady had no faith. My uncle at least went to God in prayer and wrestled to find God's will and came to his conclusion. He didn't just give up and die. But I do agree with your position that our bodies are tents dying. And the thing where I really disagree with WOF the most, and this is where I think most have it wrong, is so many people are not responsible in their life with eating, and health and stress. You can't live a life of smoking heavily and then expect God to heal when everything goes wrong because that's a correct example of reaping what you sow . I haven't listened to Kenneth Copeland for years. I didn't think his influence was that strong anymore? I'm not Calvinist. My Pentecostal background has roots in the early Methodist holiness movements and Anglicanism. I'm believing on a healing on multiple things but one in particular that doctors can't figure out for almost 5 months now! God showed me the minister Andrew Wommack who teaches on the believers authority.

I was in the wof movement years ago, but the Lord opened my eyes to all scriptures they use that mostly are taken out of context.
A great book to read is Christianity In Crisis by Hank Hanegraaff.

So he kisses icons now, and prays to dead saints, adores the eucharist, and believes in transubstantiation. In fact, many Eastern Orthodox believe protestants are all "outside the church" and are going to hell. And you just recommended me his book?

I was part of WOF and can still listen to some of them easily (not all) and get some good truths, ignore the things I don't agree with. I can do that with Hank Hanegraaff as well. Hank has some fantastic insights, even though I think he has false doctrines too.
So where does this all end?
So you can see my approach is different to yours. I don't go to Hanks channel and call him a heretic. I could.
You find false stuff with any minister. All those reformed guys have heaps of errors and bad doctrine. Some are just basic errors, some are wrong doctrines, but what makes Catholicism tricky is that these are dogmas and not doctrines. They will never change. At least protestants can say, yea I got it wrong. Hank can't do that now.
I also think healing is happening more than you think today. We need to approach God with faith. I don't need to do "works" for my miracle, and "sow a seed". I need to understand that God might not heal and be ok with His plan, but a Christian's position should always be one of faith. I reject the "reformed' position on this, which is "just accept, be grateful and thank God." That doesn't require faith. That's lazy. That's for people who quench the Spirit. Their theology is on the opposite end of "sow a seed" for your miracle and just as bad.

If God doesn't heal us then we should trust God that he is sovereign and knows what's best for us.
Even if God does heal us from some infirmity, it's just a bandage, bc. Something later on will come later where we will ask God for healing.
Our ultimate healing will come in the Resurrection, Revelation 2:1-4

Teachers, who spout off that it's always God will to heal.
Out all my siblings she has had more ailments, sickness, and infirmities than my others brothers and sisters who are also born-again Spirit filled Christians.

Wasn't trying to cause cause any friction, but I've seen so many Christians have their faith shipwrecked by the health and wealth prosperity Gospel.

A few things I respond to:
My mother in law died in 2021 aged 66 from cancer. Our position from day 1 was God can heal and we believe God will. However, like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo, we would still Praise God even if he didn't heal her. We had another friend from the "reformed" camp who told her to stop believing for healing and just enjoy the last 6 months of life and be grateful - love your family....etc" For us, that position required no faith. It was just a "give up" and accept and die. That's not faith. Anybody can do that.
However, about 3 weeks before she died, she came to the conclusion that it might not be God's will for her to live, and she made that faith adjustment to accept that her time had come, and she would praise God for it. None of us, including her regretted taking that faith position.
Another uncle of mine who died of cancer was believe for healing, but in his own prayer life came to a strong and resolute position God was not going to heal. I respected that and it impressive to watch him get impatient with God and say "hurry up God". But he was a man of prayer, had lots of exposure to WOF, but understood that healing wasn't magic and that God may not heal. His maturity in His walk with God allowed him to accept it. But his experience was different to what our "reformed" friend was saying. That lady had no faith. My uncle at least went to God in prayer and wrestled to find God's will and came to his conclusion. He didn't just give up and die.
But I do agree with your position that our bodies are tents dying. And the thing where I really disagree with WOF the most, and this is where I think most have it wrong, is so many people are not responsible in their life with eating, and health and stress. You can't live a life of smoking heavily and then expect God to heal when everything goes wrong because that's a correct example of reaping what you sow .

I'm not Calvinist. My Pentecostal background has roots in the early Methodist holiness movements and Anglicanism.
My position on all this is the same as Dr Leighton Flowers is that you can agree with people WITHOUT affirming them entirely.
