In the video Keem insist we all have issues. The visual artistry in this video is tantalizing and has so much symbolism. I think throughout the video Keem is trying to pursue his mother whose addiction has prevented her from being in his life. Simultaneously, success (the spotlight) is chasing him down as well. Grandma has stepped in meanwhile to keep him on track. I wonder if the car represents a time he or his mother were homeless living in their car. The spotlight is inevitable because of his undeniable talent. But like everything in life, at some point we must confront the demons we run from. Keem arrives at the vacant door only to realize it's too heartbreaking to confront his mother despite not resenting her. Instead, he has to stay the course and step back in the spotlight that was destined for him. Keem GOT NEXT! 🔥🙌

I disagree. Kendrick went from gkmc to tpab. That alone was him telling everyone to expect the unexpected early on in his career. So now if he makes an album singing or doing rock or any other experimental form of music, people will be more willing to accept it for what it is. The move Kendrick move is something upcoming artist can learn from, because having your first 3 albums sound similar, you're asking your listeners to box you in.
