Lyrics:
Sweet dreams of rhythm and dancing
Sweet dreams of passion through the night
Sweet dreams are taking over
Sweet dreams of dancing through the night
I wanna get into motion, a better devotion
So I can make it through the night
So the music is playin', you know what I'm saying
Now everything will be alright
Sweet dreams of rhythm and dancing
Sweet dreams of passion through the night
Sweet dreams are taking over
Sweet dreams of dancing through the night
Ola ola e, ola ola e
Ola ola e, ola ola e
Rhythm is a creation, a better sensation
That will lead you through the night
When your body is movin', the music is groovin'
I want to take you home tonight
Sweet dreams of rhythm and dancing
Sweet dreams of passion through the night
Sweet dreams are taking over
Sweet dreams of dancing through the night
Ola ola e, ola ola e
Ola ola e, ola ola e
Keep dancin' hard
Give this groove more feeling
Dance trance dance more dealing
In out up down all around
On the dance floor gettin' down
Take time just to show them who
We can make your body move
Totally, yes the party's started
Sweet dreams keep comin' harder
Sweet dreams of rhythm and dancing
Sweet dreams of passion through the night
Sweet dreams are taking over
Sweet dreams of dancing through the night
Sweet dreams of rhythm and dancing
Sweet dreams of passion through the night
Sweet dreams are taking over
Sweet dreams of dancing through the night
Ola ola e, ola ola e
Ola ola e, ola ola e

Sadly, it DID get old. Around 2000, this style was totally out of fashion and since then we have this "musical nothing" that is being played on the radio. I can't distinguish the bland singers so I call them all Taylor Swift.

I am mostly metal but did Dc clubs seen her live she kicked ass
I just found out she passed away she’s definitely a legend in the 90s era
😢
The vocal production is absolutely insane. They knew precisely what would make her voice drive this song like it was going to level mountains. It’s just absolutely huge.
So now the questions are these here: what mic was used, settings for compressor, limiter, reverb and eq. Was there used any form of pitch tuning.
@Jeff C If you made your silly comment just to try to validate yourself, you failed.
@@GBANI probably a neumann u87, possibly a urei 1176 compressor, maybe a yamaha spx90 for reverb, but the most important aspect is that the vocal is doubled, and she sang the takes almost identically, which takes skill, it's pointless to use great equipment to capture a poor performance.
I JUST realized like 20 years later, that the reason I was obsessed with her music, WAS her voice. I'd never heard a woman sound like that. Never that low, or spacious, or wide and yet simultanously soulful and sligjtly raspy. Her voice is just incredible, in a way can't be taught or learned. Only obtained in gemetic lottery
@@GBANI too soulful to be autotune, I imagine the reeverb had a big room setting with a lot of wet mix, there is almost no sidechaining if not any at all, but the real question, besides what mic, is what eq settings were used. I would do bad things to know that one. It is very important to note, that her voice was really and truly at least one in a million, amd even with an identical setup with idemtical settings, you'd be hard pressed to replicate the vocals she put down. Not because no one is as skilled, but because that voice is just galactic man. SO many natural layers there, a ghost of rasp, and masterful command of her instrument. Just insane. Completely sucked me in as a child.
La Bouche, Corona, Real McCoy, Captain Hollywood, 20 Fingers, 2 Unlimited; good times.

Oh nooo! Euro dance was totally manufactured! Most of the video singers were miming to unknown session singers and samples. The groups were studio projects, which is how performers were changeable. Still, it was all about dancing. Now American and British House was a different thing!

My dad used to listen to this 90s pop dance in the car. Just messaged him. This shit absolutely bangs. I had a cool dad, I’m proud

The best version. I have no idea why so often you find that other version (3:23 long) in compilations and stuff. It's so much worse IMHO, without the guitar part and that weird sudden fade out.
