Omg, this is like the ultimate planner. I have to admit I’m struggling with 4 diff planners at the moment, so I totally understand your wish to create a one-all that you can actually bring with you everywhere.
I love seeing the different kinds of planner setups you have and how you use them/plan to use them. These videos must take a lot of time to make so thank you for making and posting them. 💜
Thanks for the setup video! I can never get enough of them. I love the vision board idea and I will be creating my own now 😄 I use a ring binder and I definitely prefer it to other planners. I’m still trying to figure out how to incorporate everything I want without making my planner feel cluttered.
Thank you! I watch a ton of them, too! I don't know why they make me so happy! I just love seeing how other people set theirs up. I'm excited to be back in rings and try it out again. I totally understand about trying to figure out how to not have it be cluttered! Right now, I'm hoping that limiting myself to my main 90 day plan along with just a few weeks of week/daily inserts will help keep it down!
Girl, you must have some mad earth energy in your chart because your planner is next level. I love your videos! Thanks for all the information you are sharing! 🦄😊
Sarra, I am so excited for your class! I can't wait to sign up! I love your planner. It gave me a ton of ideas. I always find your videos inspirational. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. My goal is to be half as successful as you! :D
I love how you set this up! I have a love/hate relationship with ringed planners. I LOVE the way they look in photos, but i can't set mine up the same way, nor do i like using it that much. I can't wait to see how you use this!
Kaylee I've been out of rings for years because I couldn't get them set up exactly the way I wanted, but I'm hoping I have learned enough about what I need to make this perfect. I'm really loving in a week in, but we will see! What are you using now?
For my everyday planner, I use the vertical Michael's Recollection planner (Erin Condren wannabe). For writing/project management, I'm using a Target May Designs/Blue Sky Traveler's Notebook. I'm still working on getting that one completely set up the way I want. I also use a Michael's Recollection notebook (Leuchtturm 1917 wannabe) to do mock bullet journaling for any ideas/notes I want to take for writing.
I was bullet-journalling, which I loved when I had the time to do the layouts and prep all the pages. Unfortunately, busy-ness overwhelmed me and I missed ALL of July (and was a complete organisational mess as a result) and so I made the decision to try something a bit more structured (and just popped my Erin Condren cherry). I love the customisation aspect of some planners, and it's been a really hard pill to swallow, acknowledging that I just don't have time to sit and customise... and that my world falls to the dogs as a result. I'm hoping to integrate some of my gratitude journalling, evening reflections and affirmations at the very least (similar to your weekly recap page, but on the daily). I love the 90-day goal planning you've laid out, so I might try that as well! Thanks so much for this video and all the amazing resources
I love A5 rings for the customizability, but I hate writing in them (lol planner problems) so I cut a slit in the holes of the pages so I can easily pull them out, write, then put them back without having to open the rings, kind of like how the disks system works. :) Good luck with this one, tfs!
So, what do you guys think?? Have you ever used a ring binder or planner? I am really hoping this A5 Kikki K Planner works for me, because I am IN LOVE with the new collection. Fingers crossed!
I won a Kikkik personal sized planner last year but it's *so* tiny. A5 is my go-to size for most notebooks. Thanks for the in-depth set up video! I love how yours is decorative and very functional all at the same time. I've seen so many ring setup videos where people just set up clips and postcards for 15 minutes lol. I'm very tempted now to get myself an A5 ring planner... I currently use a Muji weekly spiral and a Moleskine weekly bound planners. But it's getting so messy and hard to keep track of everything :\
I agree about the personal size! I have a beautiful personal filofax that is just so gorgeous, but it's soooo tiny!! I can't fit enough into that or write it in comfortably! But I do like the A5 size! Thank you for watching such a long video, haha. I realized about 12 minutes in that hey, I better get to the actual functional stuff :P haha
OMG, I would totally buy the planner pages you created for yourself. I have a love/hate relationship with ring binders. I have two Filofaxes just because I love them so much (especially the nude patent), but the rings get on my nerves. Like you, I've switched to disc, Hobonichi, traveller's notebooks, and now I just got a recollections coil, which I'm experimenting with. (Why is planner peace so elusive??) I LOVE the way you've set up your personalized planner with space for weekly details PLUS daily details. Can't wait to see how you like using it.
Thank you Cara! I'm nervous about how I'll feel about the rings! I am hoping they don't annoy me! But you are so right. The perfect planner is always a moving target!
Sarra, on the daily pages, do you also include stuff like doc appointments, exercise, family stuff, shopping etc, or is this planner only for your writing career?
So, I include things that affect my schedule in that they have to get done at a certain time. So back to school night to meet the teachers, doctor's appointments, those things go in. Grocery shopping doesn't always, because I can do it at any time. Sometimes it depends how packed my schedule is whether I put it in there or not, but I don't typically forget that I need to grocery shop on Sundays, so it just doesn't always need to be in there. I don't do much exercise other than beach walks, haha, so no need to put that in for me here yet, though I do want to start doing yoga... I have a separate planner for meal planning. Mostly, though, this is my work planner, but like I said, anything that affects my schedule time-wise goes in for sure!
I love your new planner :) I was using the Hobonichi cousin, but it just doesn't work for me. I've been using the bullet journal system with a personal ring planner and that seems to be working so far. But we will see. I love the inserts you made for it. What are you using to make yours? I make mine with microsoft publisher, but wish I could figure out how to do on google docs instead of paying for office 365 every month.
Thanks Brandy! I just used Word, so still paying for Office with that. I am sure you could make something similar in Open Office, but I haven't used that program in years. I would really love to learn how to use InDesign, but I don't have that program yet and don't know how to use it! I am thinking about getting it on subscription and then trying some tutorials at Skillshare. We'll see!
Oh, I've never heard of Indesign. I might have to check it out! Thank so much! Btw, I downloaded your first 3 books in the Beautiful Demons series. I am really excited to read them :)
That's awesome!!! Yay! I hope you enjoy them! And yes, from what I've heard Adobe InDesign is the very best for designing documents and things like that. I would really like to learn how to use it! So far, I've just been trying to use word and make it work for me through watching tutorials! But it's hard to keep everything straight and perfect with it!
When I first started making my own inserts, I used word. But once I started using publisher, that's all I use now. I make all my own inserts because of the customization of them. I feel like publisher is easier to understand than word and if you use tables, you can make things completely straight. You can also make your insert a certain size and the program does it all for you so it's nice. I am probably not making any sense LOL but if you can try it out, you should play around with it :)
@@Journalingbranbi I haven't heard of publisher. Where did you get the program and costs. Please. Thank you. I got a new printer and laminator and I'm dying to use them. Thx. I am a professional procrastinator and I used to use a planner and never missed a bill. I also bought the filofax domino A5 and pocket. I love them. 😁
I've also been planning to create my own pages as none of the planners seem to work for me. However, wouldn't the shift from A4 to A5 be stifling? I'm waiting to watch how you work with it. :)
I've mostly been using the A5 Hobonichi Cousin this year, so I am hoping it won't feel like too much of a change overall. I've only been using the full letter sheets since July, and I wasn't finding them as useful in terms of carrying them around with me when I'm working outside my home office, so we will see! I definitely am liking creating my own pages in terms of being able to change it up and really make it work, but I guess it is going to take some trial and error to get them just right! And I wish I knew more about designing !
Heart Breathings Do keep us updated about how you are finding the A5 size. I'm just making a shift this month from a hand-drawn bullet journal to an A4 size planner made from etsy printables. I know it is going to be very difficult to take with me everywhere. Phew! I'm hoping I can make it work!
I love the A5 binders but hate how the inserts are smaller. I hate the huge gap from the paper to the binder. I just ended up doing my own. I have to admit my favorite binders are the kikki and carpe diem. I use my carpe diem for my weight loss journey and my kikki as a planner.
I'm excited to set up my planner :) I've been using a bullet journal since February but am switching to a ring binder so I can insert anything I end up needing in the future and can easily flip between my writing and my small home business. Thank you for showing us how your planner is set up.
Oh my. Beautiful. BUT... Sooo many steps. Sounds like you have to wright everything many times over and over again. That would be to much repeting for me. Good luck!
Omg, this is like the ultimate planner. I have to admit I’m struggling with 4 diff planners at the moment, so I totally understand your wish to create a one-all that you can actually bring with you everywhere.

Thank you so much Terrye! This means a lot to me!
My pleasure! When I find myself in a slump, I watch you and Chris Fox and find my mojo again. :D

Lucy Rhodes I feel the same way about bullet journaling! I loved it, but if I didn't have time, everything fell apart. I hope the EC works for you!!!💖
These inserts are sooo good. The weekly with promo section on them!

ketchup016 That's such a great idea!! I saw someone else do that with some half sheets in a video recently, but I haven't tried it myself. I should!
So, what do you guys think?? Have you ever used a ring binder or planner? I am really hoping this A5 Kikki K Planner works for me, because I am IN LOVE with the new collection. Fingers crossed!

Kindly tell from where do you get these Kiki planners I just love them please tell
Heyy where did you get your happy planner book from please??
The pink snap in hard cover came from Michael's. I also got the discs there separately (the gold discs are in their memory keeping section).
😍😍😍☺☺waw
I want a planner
I think A5 is exactly the half of an A4 size paper.
Yes, I think it is! But you can't really buy A4 paper here.
Oh my. Beautiful. BUT... Sooo many steps. Sounds like you have to wright everything many times over and over again. That would be to much repeting for me.
Good luck!
Please gift me this teal kikki k 😊🤗😍
