I would say it is more of a new genre... Chill, Ambient & lo-fi is yet to be discovered indeed which you are correct there. I discovered chilled trance music from artists I am aware off but never knew there was even chilled trance just by listening to "Smooth Chill" and yes, Smooth Chill also plays some music from Lo-Fi Girl. It is a radio station here in the UK. Worth checking out. I listen to quite a few tracks.

That's literally me! My dog used to sit next to my desk on the window, when he was little. Now he sleeps in his basket next to me :D But anyway, i absolutely love the Ghibli kinda artstyle and synthwave as lofi is just perfect for my work. I'm a software developer and lofi hip hop doesn't give me that futuristic vibe, that i need for programming. Lofi hip hop was more of a thing for drawing or reading for me. But normal synthwaye sometimes was too "aggresive" (i prefer to listen to it on night drives). But now i can listen to this lofi synthwave while programming / hacking / designing. It is perfect. Thanks a lot from Germany!
