This is a great very rare clip which shows showbiz fun loving staging Louis Armstrong All Stars had. Just fantastic! This clip must be from one of the documentary program on TV,which was not used in Satchmo the Great.

Because I do not have a better copy. We can still marvel at Louis' greatness which was primarily his trumpet sound. Thanks for looking. Jim

Thank you for sharing. This was filmed in Zürich (Kongresshaus, November 7th, 1955) and Lyon (Palais D'Hiver, November 12th & 13th, 1955). Trummy Young (tb), Edmond Hall (cl), Billy Kyle (p), Arvell Shaw (b), Barrett Deems (dr) - presented by Edward Murrow and filmed for his documentary "Satchmo The Great" which was presented as an episode of his newsmagazine "See It Now".
