Hey man, welcome to Malaysia Those two flags are actually Federal Territories flag. The flag is flown annually on the first day of February, commemorating the day when Kuala Lumpur became a Federal Territory on 1 February 1974. Blue field with seven horizontal stripes alternating red and white on upper and lower lengths; charged with a yellow crescent and 14-point star. The flag of the Federal Territories of Malaysia consists of three horizontal bars of yellow, blue, and red, with the coat of arms of Malaysia in the middle. I am so certain that you are so delighted to arrives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today’s in great joy to tours around the capital city of Malaysia.I hope more new videos are coming up soon this week from Southeast Asia in March of 2023❤❤❤
Colombian boy here spent all of 2022 living in KL and I highly recommend you get out of the city and check out Cameron Highlands, Redang, Penang and Ipoh. Also funny I'm back in KL now and heading to Sri Lanka next week myself lol. Latino travelers think alike.
If you're like filming a lot than plan to visit East Malaysia the Sarawak and Sabah on Borneo island. In Sarawak you will amaze by the billion years of ancient rain trees forests to explore. In Sabah ocean and beautiful beaches around to adventures. There is so diverse from Kuala Lumpur.
Chris:Welcome to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today’s this new week in March of 2023.I watched your first video last night on your way from Los Angeles, California to Taipei, Taiwan finally in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today to released this remarkable video in March of 2023❤❤❤❤
Hey Chris, I was born and raised in KL (now living in europe), the “radio tour” you mentioned earlier is actually KL tower which is one of our many landmarks. You should definitely go up there and have a fancy dinner where there restaurants up there rotates 360degrees. Jalan Alor and Jalan Bukit bintang are very touristic, therefore the prices you are paying is likely tourist prices. Mee Goreng typically cost less than RM10. I would definitely recommend that you go up to KLCC the petronas twin tower whilst you are there. The view is amazing! Not too far away from Chinatown, definitely visit Central Market if you want to learn about local cultures and local arts/artisan. I am here if you wanna know more bout KL 😊
The national language of Malaysia is Malay (Bahasa Melayu) but many Malaysian can speak English, instead of tourist spot like Jalan Alor, I recommend you explore where the locals hang out like Brickfields, Kampung Baru, SS2 Petaling Jaya etc..Also recommend you visit a bit outside KL like Batu Caves, Genting Highlands, Putrajaya.
Love Malaysia so much! We also immediately fell in love with it. So happy for you and your improved mental and personal health! SE Asia just tends to bring out the happiness in me, it looks like it does you too. Best of luck on this Malaysia/Sri Lankan adventure!
Hey Chris, just returned from Malaysia after first visit. Absolutely loved it.. beautiful country and amazing experience. Would love to go back..but just too damn far! Lol
The person on the Malaysian Ringgit Note is the first late King of Malaysia. Normally we addressed him or the present one as an Agong. The plant at the back of the ten ringgit note is a rafflesia, found in Malaysian jungles. The one at the back of the fifty ringgit note is an oil palm tree. The flag of KL is actually the flag of the Federal Territories that includes KL, Putrajaya and Labuan in Borneo. I am watching your video. Thank u for coming here.

Jalan Alor is mainly touristy Thai and Chinese food, i suggest you try Kampung Baru for variety of Malay food, which is spicier than Chinese food and very flavorful with unique taste
You are great guy Chris..since you've visited my country🇯🇲 i am a big Fan of yours..i love the way you interract with the people..i am glad that you are happy because you makes me happy by watching your videos🤩. Looking forward for your next Video of Malaysia..one love♥️

Great video KL intro Chris. I always like how you do these casual unedited walk through videos helping us see the city through your eyes. That was Jalan Alor you walked through. A very well known food area. Make sure you try the Char Kweay Teow at some point. It's very similar to Pad Thai. Also, appreciate you keeping it real that it can be really hard being a digital travel content creator. Too many make it sound like it's so glamorous. Keeping pushing and hope you feel better soon.
KL is a great city. Though BKK is much large and crowded, I felt Malaysia is more regulated and controlled by Government, the shops, billing, police etc are more professional. Overall we feel its developed .
The Ecuador & Venezuela like flag are Federal Territory, red & white stripes are Kuala Lumpur, FT consisting of 3 territories, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya & Labuan
You can reach Batu Caves using KTM Komuter train. It's right by the door step of Batu Caves. Be careful with the monkeys on the way up. Take care of your bag & do not bring any food or drink on the way up. Some tourist commented that the place is a bit dirty - it's mainly due to the monkeys stealing the food & throwing the leftover everywhere.
Thanks for the tour Chris, on your first day too! A lot of variety for eating places, I think we will be seeing street food heaven. You can't sit still for long can you? can tell you are excited to explore and share 😂 Your enthusiam is contagious, yella lets go! All the best from Morocco
The 10 ringgit banknote is Rafflesia flower, the biggest flower in the world. The malay word is called bunga pakma. The flower can be found in Sabah, Kelantan, Perak and Pahang state especially in Tioman island, one of the beautiful islands in Malaysia. So in Southeast Asia , you can find these flowers in Malaysia, Indonesia, Southern Thailand and the Philippines
Awesome success story at the end man, so great to hear you been working out again. It's hard to do when traveling so best is probably get some resistance bands and do bodyweight exercises whenever you can. Keep it up bro you're an inspiration. God bless brother Btw the food is called Mi Goreng pretty good dish.
actually if im not mistaken, the flags you saw is two of them. the first flag with red, blue and yellow stripe with a large govt logo in the middle is the federal territory flag. Malaysia has 3 Federal territories and they are : Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur and Labuan in Sabah. the second flag u saw is not the malaysian country flag. similiar but no. its actually the flag for the city state of Kuala Lumpur. the difference is that the malaysian flag its crescent moon and 14 pointed stars is at the top left hand corner, not in the middle of the stripes. and in the country flag is just a single big blue box with the crescent moon and the star with 14 points. the kl flag has this blue long stripe instead and the moon n star is in the middle.
Being honest is good bro, at least we know your story, your struggle that we dont know..goodluck bro in malaysia..have fun..love from Brunei Darussalam❤stay safe brother👍
I love your videos bro, I started watching them after you went to El Salvador, I like how you content is genuine and you mix with the locals. Wish you the best!
the flag that u say is malaysia flag is actualy Kuala lumpur flag...and the other one same like Ecuador flag is the flag of malaysia Federal Teritory ... Kuala lumpur , Putrajaya and Labuan .
Malaysia Truly Asia must-do 1. Food culture each state (diversity of Malay, Chinese, Indian & Borneo) Religious temple 2. Nightlife & New Asian Bar culture (KL, Penang Island & Borneo) 3. Jungle Trekking/Outdoor (Peninsula & Borneo)
If you happened to stay in Malaysia till the 25th of March, then you have 3 days to catch-up with the Ramadan Food Bazaar since the first day of Muslim fasting calendar is on the 23rd tentatively. Variety of foods will be on sale for Muslim to break fast and other races and nationalities to taste the food too.
you might wanna check out Taman Connaught Night Market. It's only open on Wednesday, but it's one of the longest night market in Malaysia. Probably 20mins drive from bukit bintang, but the MRT train is pretty convenient to get there. Plus prices are way cheaper that Jalan Alor (place where you had mi goreng)
Welcome to Malaysia.. hope you enjoy our hospitalities and foods.. Actually the flag is Federal Territory of Malaysia (looks like Malaysian Flag) and City Hall (with the emblem). KL has more Chinese ethnics and foreign workers. You should visit other parts of Malaysia to explore more of Malaysia.

correction for the Flag the red blue yellow with logo at middle is the Flag of the Federal Territories (aka wilayah persekutuan) the one with red white blue yellow star is the Flag of Kuala Lumpur (similar to Malaysia Flag but the Star placement is different)
Mee Goreng (Fried Noodle) , Jalan Alor (Alor Street), RM10 note ( not national fruit but its a Reflesia flower- the biggest flower i the world) and a picture of the Govenor,. btw, Changkat street jst nearby, very happening in night time with all the pubs n clubs.
I think you should spend 2weeks in peninsular malaysia and other 2weeks in borneo. In KL u must try national dish which is nasi lemak. The nice one for visitor located at kampung baru called nasi lemak wanjo. U must visit cameron highlands tea plantation and mossy forest(choose walkable platform if u not hiking), Genting highlands, Langkawi and steepest cable car with longest curvy bridge, Perhentian island, Malacca the world heritage state, Penang georgetown foodie state, Ipoh town and white coffee. Next fly to sarawak kuching and sabah for their beach or kundasang for new zealand vibes near mount kinabalu.. I think one month just nice. Hahaha enjoy your stay here in malaysia

5:45 - Sharing info : Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) is a communication tower. Its construction was completed on March 1, 1995. It features an antenna that increases its height to 421 meters (1,381 ft) and is the seventh tallest single tower in the world. Its top lies at an elevation of 335 meters (1,099 feet). The rest of the lower part has stairs and an elevator to reach the upper area, where it has a revolving restaurant that provides a dining area with a view of the city of Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur is the capital city in the world that receives the most lightning strikes in the world. It receives far more lightning bolts than any other city in the world. It is estimated that in a year as many as 200 days of thunderstorms occur in KL, compared to only 20 days of thunderstorms a year in London and New York only experience 10 days of thunderstorms a year. This is because Kuala Lumpur is located very close to the Equator line where the formation of thunderstorm clouds often occurs. Because of this, in the construction of the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur Tower, the element of lightning bolts was also taken into account in the architecture where there was a network of metalwork to the ground where special conductors were installed to flow lightning current into the grounding system.
the 1st flag is City Council of KL and the 2nd flag is the KL flag.. Malaysia's flag is quite similar to KL's flag, but without blue stripe in the middle

Being honest is good bro, at least we know your story, your struggle that we dont know..goodluck bro in malaysia..have fun..love from Brunei Darussalam❤stay safe brother👍
its "Mi Goreng" (malay language) or fried noodles in english... tipping is not common in Malaysia.
Malaysia Truly Asia must-do
1. Food culture each state (diversity of Malay, Chinese, Indian & Borneo)
Religious temple
2. Nightlife & New Asian Bar culture (KL, Penang Island & Borneo)
Chris por aquí estoy, un abrazooooooo¡¡¡😘😘😘Que fino se ve esa ciudad.1988 año en que nació mi primera hija el lugar donde comiste.
Muchas gracias Norma! Wow increible! Entonces tu hija tiene 32 anos? Gracias por siempre ver mis videos ❤️🙏🏻
Si la mayor, tengo 4, un abrazo Chris.
KL looks quite different from other SE Asia couture. Being so much South, the humidity must be intense. Thanks for today.❤
Ufff it definitely is intense! Yes, I have noticed so many differences between this place and Thailand!
I wish I was there right now to have a flavorsome lunch🤩
you might wanna check out Taman Connaught Night Market.
Kuala Lumpur Demographics 2023
Malay/Bumiputera: 45.9%
Chinese: 43.2%
Indians: 10.3%
Other: 1.6%
@@zain-alexander thanks .. but I think most Malays are in the outskirts or suburb than in the centre of KL..
Flag look like Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur flag

Hi Chris, your travel vlogs are incredible, your such a positive guy (it's infectious) and really tell us how it is - have you thought about going to Singapore whilst you are in that part of the world ? Keep up the great work - excellent, absolutely love it mate (Ali from the UK) ✌👊🙏
correction for the Flag
the red blue yellow with logo at middle is the Flag of the Federal Territories (aka wilayah persekutuan)
the one with red white blue yellow star is the Flag of Kuala Lumpur (similar to Malaysia Flag but the Star placement is different)
Love your videos! Thanks for being real in the end! You are humble and kind!
You're the man bro... Appreciate your lil rant, much respect. Looking forward to your videos brotha.

Genting highlands,
Langkawi and steepest cable car with longest curvy bridge,
Perhentian island,

The RM50 bill is a Chaba flowers name in Thai language 🌺🌺
Thank you so much!
While in Kuala Lumpur...move around by using the mass rapid...Lrt, MRT, komuter.
Thanks for this wonderful video n for showing your 1st day exploring in KL.
A little info on d Malaysian Ringgit notes in denomination of RM1, 5, 10, 20, 50 n 100 while 500 n 1000 have been discontinued few years after d Asian crisis in 1997.
FYI, on front of all d notes, on d right side is a pic of d 1st King of Malaysia. On d back of RM 10 note, that's rafelsia, d biggest flower on earth in d tropical rainforest. On d back of RM 50 note, that's palm oil tree, one of d main commodity n exports of Malaysia.
What u have eaten in Jalan Alor is mee goreng, stir fried noodles.
U should try as much as possible d Malaysian street food esp nasi lemak n Ramly burger, asks Solo, he knows lots of about d Malaysian food.
Most of d food in Jalan Alor is non halal. U can find lots of halal food around KL esp in Kampung Baru area, not far from KLCC within walking distance via Saloma link.

5:45 - Sharing info :
Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) is a communication tower.
I'm looking forward to this tour as it's a place I certainly want to visit.
It is very nice video Chris...I am so happy to see u after a long time..congratulations keep it up...from tamilnadu

Keep goin wit your Journey brotha, been witnessing the growth, always tuning in.

the 1st flag is City Council of KL and the 2nd flag is the KL flag.. Malaysia's flag is quite similar to KL's flag, but without blue stripe in the middle
