- Kuhmo is a city located in the Kainuu region of Finland. I used to go there every summer as a kid but it had been almost 20 years from my last visit. However it felt like time had stayed still. Everything was pretty much how it used to be. I ate lots rönttönen (local pastry) and spent most of my time fishing and in the nature.
