UA-cam welcome back with another video and in today’s video I’m gonna be showing y’all how to do a contactless check in and check out for Turo. Definitely watch the full video if you want to see how I make my Turo rental car business passive and contactless. I’ve been using this method for over 90 trips and it works like a charm each time. If you like today’s video please like comment and subscribe thanks for watching!!!
Good video. I live in Charleston and I'm about to start on Turo with my Slingshot.
I appreciate that a lot and I think having a slingshot will do good but also it’s a certain type of market for slingshots. Definitely will get booked out in the summer/spring months.
I’m new to the Turo space so this video was very informative
I’m glad I can help out. Definitely stay tuned for more videos coming out soon.
Love the color soap car washes
They are really cool to look at when going through 😂 i look forward to it
Hey Bro. I’m a Turo Host in the Low Country with 18 cars. Majority of my guests are at the airport.
Airport is where the money is fr. Stay tuned for more content
Great video!! Very informative ✨️
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate that. Definitely stay tuned and subscribe for more videos. I have coming about Turo.
Keep grinding you’re making great content 🫡
I appreciate that bro fr💪🏽
I always meet the guest to pick up the car, but when they return it I ask them to put the ticket on the dashboard and leave the key in the glove box. When I leave the parking lot I pay for the parking. I never charge a customer. I have heard of a lot of guest paying for the parking I just do not do this.
I have them pay for delivery which is 20$ and they pay to get out of the parking garage which is 17$ that fee is from the airport. Everyone does it differently i understand
👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥 On the money!!
Passive income is the best income
Great video…I’m a Power Host down the road in Savannah. I’m about 90% airport/10% locals 👍🏻
Thanks i appreciate you commenting and i much rather have airport guests locals always smoke or trash the car EVERYTIME
@archdavis6942 3 yr turo host / private rental in Savannah would love to connect
Just started do you know anything about Car putty for adding additional vehicles to the fleet?
I don’t understand the question you can dm on instagram if you want at Wallace_lowcountry_rentals
Great video. One suggestion to save you money is to find a vehcile that has app use. Like Ford Sync, Hyundai, Toyota. Free app and no subscriptions. I can do all the same with my 2018 fusion Platinum from my phone as well and when i get other cars that have the sync they all just need to be uploaded. Could of save 1k.
Your right I will definitely look into one for my next turo car thanks for commenting and stay tuned for more content next year
You did not mention how the guest return the car ? Do you have to pay for parking garage upon pickup ?
I have made more videos about checking in and out your car. The guest pays for the air parking from the airport. This fee is charged by the airport and not me

Hi, what is the name of the montlhy car wash you using?we have a delta sonic like that but 1 car per account for once a day.
Time to shine car wash and it kinda the same when it comes to washing. Stay tuned for more Turo content this year thanks for commenting
Do you also lock the key inside or just leave it in the glove box? How do you know when you need to unlock the car? Do you monitor the app all the time? Thank you.
Hey, thanks for commenting, and I do lock the key inside the car and the glove box. And then the guest just tells me when they arrive and I unlock the door. I don’t monitor it unless they are late or it sends me a speeding notification.
Thanks!
does the smart link also have a kill switch? so that if a client steals your car, you can shut it off?
The car does have our engine stop start button on the app for it. And also, I’m able to track the card to see where it is. It’s a hardwire install for the system and is not in the O2 sensor or whatever it’s called. I’m not too sure. Lol. And also to answer your other question I made a video about creating LLC and why you should.

@@WLCR_843 thanks for the prompt reply!
What is peak season for rentals. What months do you get the most business in Charleston
Summer time for sure is the busiest and march-October is most profitable
@@WLCR_843 thanks
@WLCR_843 I'm originally from Charleston but I'm currently doing turo in Romulus Michigan near the Detroit Airport. The only reason I never came home to do turo is because I checked the rates on the cars and it's pretty low compared to Detroit
How do you make the renter leave the money for when it’s time for you(the host) to take the car out of the airport parking lot. I list on the description but more often than not, they don’t leave anything behind. Let me know
I charge the guest a delivery fee for dropping it off at the airport. This is for me to pay to get out of the parking garage. My fee is 25$ to have it delivered but it only cost me 17$ to get out. It’s not that much of a profit, but I don’t want to charge too much that way I can beat out some of my competition. And I usually have my girlfriend pick me up from the airport so I don’t have to pay for an Uber.
@@WLCR_843 Man, you should consider charging MUCH MORE for airport deliveries. I started out by charging $75, and bookings were coming left/right... so I raised it to $100.... didn't affect the bookings. So I maxed out at $120!!! Folks STILL kept booking at the airport!
After a couple of months, we stopped all airport deliveries. Mainly because of the distance. We're about 60 miles from the Atlanta airport. The breakdown for 2 people delivering and picking up a car from 60 miles away to our airport is only about $10/hr!!!
It takes 2 people 1.5 hours each way to drop it off, and the same amount of time to go pick it up. That's 12 hours... and keep in mind, we didn't even get into the parking fees, or gas!
You should test raising your fee to at least $75. You'll probably find that your bookings aren't affected...
Just an FYI I am a Turo host in California you should never charge your customer for parking it will end up in your review so basically at most airports when you park the vehicle in the parking garage like when they return the car and you tell them to take it to a parking garage it'll give them a ticket and they put the ticket in the dashboard and when you come pick up the car you pay when you leave.
@@plumpandfabulous4255
Ok but who pays to get out the garage when the guest pickup the vehicle????
The guest pays for parking to leave the garage. I have had 128 trips never been a problem or mentioned in my reviews
do you have an LLC in place to separate this asset from your personal asset?
Yes, I do operate under an LLC. It’s better to keep things separate from your personal for tax reasons, and write offs. Also, for better bookkeeping.
@7:00 when he gets around to the point of the video without all the filler content.
Thanks for the video though.
Yeah of course gotta save the best for last lol thanks for watching and commenting
I’m confused. If they break da window for da lockbox they still wuld have to get into da lockbox to take your car. Are they jus stealn da key?
I don’t use a lockbox for the exact reason so it doesn’t become a easy target. Whenever you use a lockbox, it lets others know that somethings in there and it’s hanging from the window. And if somebody were to break into the car and steal the key I would know since I have the tracker to let me know where the car is. Hopefully this answer your question, but definitely subscribe to watch my other videos. I have coming out about how I do Turo.
Yes. You need to understand your area. Lock boxes do not work for everyone. I meet my guest. Also you can buy a viper system which cost to install about 500.00 if you can afford it to lock and unlock your car. There are several options.
Hello
Great video.
I wanted to rent a car from turo, and will be my first rental,
Who pays for the car insurance during rental?
Me or the owner?
Thanks I appreciate that and you pay for the insurance during the rental. It’s part of the fee at the end of it.
@@WLCR_843
So that means I have to get my insurance involved or is already charged in the contract that I I'll sign?
Not your personal insurance because most insurance companies don’t allow turo. Turo offers their own insurance during the rental time
Which Turo fee plan/percentage do you use?
I am on the 75/25 plan definitely don’t wanna come out of to much money for accident a guest leaves
How much is the subscription for the viper?
The Viper subscription is 65$ each month
@@WLCR_843 Ouch!!! at that price, you won't be able to scale... For example, we have 25 cars on Turo. That would be $1625/mo. or $19,500 per year!
Our car wash is $14.50 per car and they give us the $25 wash... but that's because we have so many cars with them.
We're in the Atlanta area.
Those car washes you go to scratches your car
How many cars do you have? What market are you in?
Right now I currently have one but next I maybe adding another. I am located in Charleston South Carolina. Definitely stay tuned and subscribe to see which car i will add.
@@WLCR_843 Oh ok great! So you're just starting out? Are you an All Star host yet?
Just my opinion, but you should try to get a car that has built in remote lock/unlock... Some Toyota's, Fords, and most GM cars (via OnStar) will have this.
Seems like a lot of headaches and hoops to jump through for ..what? $50-$75? How do you get home from the airport? Is there a "cost" to being a pain in the ass to relatives and - soon to be - former friends?
My girlfriend takes me home lol
I agree seems anything but passive, more like a part time job
Instead of picture could you do a video?
I dont think so but that would be a lot easier fr
