Best part about this is the dude playing just fucking loves playing. He's just over the moon playing after all that practice this is what pays off. Awesome work mate.
I know I already commented, but I just gotta say that this is the most metal song I've heard from you in quite a while. I love just about everything you put out, just calling it as I sees it.
Been a fan of Dokken and George Lynch for a number of years, and since this is one of my faves from the Dokken days, Eric you totally nailed it. Well done dude \m/
Freakin Brilliant!! THANK YOU for putting out some classic Dokken!! Mr Scary is one of my all time favs! Just added it to my workout playlist, your tunes get me thru some heavy workouts! Masterful talent you have, stay metal \mm/
Hey there Erock. Once again, amazing job at covering this gem. I feel the need to say that I've been an admirer since forever it seems, and come every new video, you don't cease to impress me (especially in songs/themes nobody would ever dream them being covered in such a way). I understand that you're getting tons of requests, as you yourself have already stated before. With that in mind, I'd like to make a personal request nevertheless for the sole purpose of adding to the already long list of great ideas for songs/themes/tunes to cover, since this specific one is a personal favorite and brings nostalgia from my childhood years. I'm talking about the battle theme of a PSX role-playing game called Lunar : Silver Star Complete. It's been remade into a handful of consoles, but the PSX version does, in my opinion, the most justice to the theme. Once again thanks for your insane effort and time you put into entertaining us, and I'm hoping for more covers yet to come.
That was ridiculous dude! Lynch is one of my favorite guitarists EVER and you certainly did that song justice! SO glad I stumbled onto your channel man.... are you playing in any bands I can check out? Your playing is awesome.
As awesome as it would be to see Eric in a band that had talent equal to his own, I don't believe he's in any. Hell, he probably doesn't have time for it anyway with the amount of composing and recording he has to do for his channel. If you want to watch him play some of his original stuff though, hit up the EMGtv channel here on UA-cam. He did a few of his songs there.
Helluva job brother! Kudos to you for being one of the few who play this standing up! lol Most dudes are sitting down hunched over their guitar. You play this the way it's supposed to be played! RESPECT!
Great song, great performance. You are so humble. Since you are shredding in the name of Halloween, might I suggest Thriller meets metal? That would be epic.
I've listened to a lot of your videos man and by far that green lantern Axe you play has really rich, nice, full sounds. And love the range of that long neck. Awesome tribute tho you rock \m/
So I first watch this and I'm listening to the tune and everything Is amazing as always... and I click on another tab and I come back to this one annnnnnnd his shirt Is off and the guitar changed. I wondered If I was on a different video just then haha
Ah yes, the "danger of the desert" George Lynch. But seriously, great job Eric! I like that you're spreading your wings and straying from "x meets metal"(not that I don't like that) but it's a nice change of pace. I'd love for you to do a Shawn Lane tribute too sometime.
somegreatbloke But he wasn't using his pick there. If memory serves, he does do it from time to time, but he mostly uses his middle finger for short taps, or holds the pick in his palm and uses his index finger for extended tapping sections.
That lick is actually not as hard as you may think. Just look up the tab, practice the the left hand tapping lick that descends down the neck. Then practice the right handed tapping portion w/o the left. Once comfortable combine them slowly and then build up speed. The lick is down with a harmonizer pedal so it sounds like more is going on than actually is.
You're also an awesome guitarist and i bet as nice of a guy as george lynch. I agree, george it's performance and style just matched. He was mr scary back in the day, his moves always matched his unorthedox playing, i also air guitar the george lynch way at times :p. \m/ keep on rocking, like that your smiling the entire time, that's the way to play guitar and be \m/. Rock on \m/
Question...what was the very first song you ever learned to play? Just subscribed today and I think I already watched every video back to back cannot get enough you truly are a master SHREDDER!
Haha, this is awesome dude, lets collaborate on something, Orchestral Metal!!
that would be so fuckin huge.... and epic... and awesome... no words for it o.O
I just listened to Peter Gundry's music now and the collaboration would be intriguing. I hope it happens!
This needs to happen! We are the Chosen meets metal or something similar :D
I will only allow this if it's posted here :P
That would be fucking fantastic!
this is one of the most badass guitar videos i have ever seen
YES! George Lynch doesn't get enough credit as a musician, this is one hell of a tribute \m/
Best part about this is the dude playing just fucking loves playing. He's just over the moon playing after all that practice this is what pays off. Awesome work mate.
I still come back to this recording time and time again...it just SSSOOOOO good
Never really been a fan of George Lynch except for this song, and damn do you ever do it more than justice!
I'm here as a 41 year old fan of all metal and that was a pleasure to watch. Very nice work!!! (George lives forever)
Ok, that was awesome. I am a big fan of George and this song. I loved the guitar change 2:30. I was not expecting that, that guitar is sick.
Erock seems to have a guitar for every occasion.
Will we be seeing a guitar shaped like a Christmas stocking on December?
I hope so, because that would be awesome....So.....awesome...
or a tree
2:34 Haha! Wasn't expecting that. :-)
Great video! A very good cover of Mr Scary!
Ass-kickin! Lynch is my favored guitarist and this is a masterful rendition of this powerful classic. Well done indeed.
Damn… This is too good. If anything George needs to see this. I think he'd like it!
Yes!!!!! Awesome! George lynch and I are born on the same day too, how cool is that? He's also a huge inspiration for me
Freakin Brilliant!! THANK YOU for putting out some classic Dokken!! Mr Scary is one of my all time favs! Just added it to my workout playlist, your tunes get me thru some heavy workouts! Masterful talent you have, stay metal \mm/
Dude, I watch this over and over and it gets better like a seasoned wine. Cheers

Dude...If you where my neighbor I would call the cops if you did not turn it up!
Best reply ever! 🤘😁🤘
I actually said that to my neighbour the first time I met him. He was listening to Disturbed and Slipknot, lol.
Dude that was awesome.... I am a huge Lynch/Dokken fan and you really did his style justice and making it your own...
The Happiest Mr Scary of em all..
THIS IS SICK! My dad actually met George Lynch a few years ago. He said he was a pretty awesome guy!
I enjoy all of your videos but this was my favorite by far. Outstanding tribute!!!!

He is not in any band that I know of, but he has some music that's not on his channel up on iTunes.
As awesome as it would be to see Eric in a band that had talent equal to his own, I don't believe he's in any. Hell, he probably doesn't have time for it anyway with the amount of composing and recording he has to do for his channel.

Thanks for the info guys!
Eargasm.....excellent tribute..Thanks EROCK!!!!

Helluva job brother! Kudos to you for being one of the few who play this standing up! lol Most dudes are sitting down hunched over their guitar. You play this the way it's supposed to be played! RESPECT!
Waouw !!! Great great great !!! And fun video, and the guitar "Skull & Bones" is beautiful ! Just amazing !!!!
Great rendition of a great song. You are a very talented musician!
This is so metal, that Dio riding a dragon and wielding a flaming axe in one hand and drinking beer with the other just flew out of my headphones.
Love the Skeleton guitar! Kick ass song. It blew me away when I first heard it.
I love that this guy's always got a cheeky smile, as if to say, "Hell yeah, check this shit out!"

Bad ass, man! George Lynch was one of the guys who made me wanna play guitar. His tone... Wow...
Great song, great performance. You are so humble. Since you are shredding in the name of Halloween, might I suggest Thriller meets metal? That would be epic.

Erock meets Lynch = EPIC!!!! You nailed the essence of the song but still added your own style!
That's awesome you're a Lynch fan. Great playing as always. You totally nailed the closing tapping lick as many do not do it correctly on youtube.
2:36 - my jaw just fucking dropped. WHAAA ?! Didn't expect that for the life of me o.O. My god I love that guitar !!!!

This was just... Fucking awesome! Brilliant stuff Eric!
Im not sure if this is a miss or a hit because of my personal bias to Lynch, but adding your own flair to this made it quite nice
This is the only reason why I look forward to october!

Nice! That is a cool skull and bones guitar, I almost thought I was watching the Dream Warriors clip, hahaha.
Nailed it! Im a Lynch fan too.
Your production style really suits this song!
The most lit thing I have seen looking on your channel. I'm convinced you are a robot.
Kickass! It would be sweet to see a Dream Warriors cover in one of these Halloween vids.
Awesome video! Nice to see the six-stringed guitars making an appearance again. :)
LOVED IT DUDE!!! FANTASTIC JOB 🙌
That was UNBELIEVABLE!!! Awesome :)
A fitting tribute to one of my biggest heroes of all time, Mr. George Lynch!
Dude that ESP replica is FUCKKEEEN SICK!!
George Lynch is one of the most brutal guitarist that the world has brought to us.
Beautifully done!
My exact words at 1:00 were, "But how? Teach me your ways." You make it looks so simple.
Google: 'pinch harmonics' and 'plectrum tapping'.
somegreatbloke tapping is my bane
somegreatbloke But he wasn't using his pick there. If memory serves, he does do it from time to time, but he mostly uses his middle finger for short taps, or holds the pick in his palm and uses his index finger for extended tapping sections.

Flawless victory
Not sure what's more badass, the guitar work or the white tiger-striped spandex!
You're also an awesome guitarist and i bet as nice of a guy as george lynch. I agree, george it's performance and style just matched.
