I’ve worked in a kitchen before and chefs like that make you either stressed & frustrated, anxious or quit entirely. They don’t care how the goal is achieved as long as it gets done even if a member gets hurts the show moves on for them
She's a goal orienteted person who doesnt care how the goal was achieved whether an employee was hurt along the way 😢. In simple terms she doesnt know how to deal and manage people comes of to me as a bit toxic work environment
15+ years experience as a chef, from ma n pa shop to michelin star...all that prep is simple, and as a chef, maintaining your knives is a responsibility, i remember chopping 25 pounds of onions to peeling 25 pounds of potatoes by myself...compared to my past kitchens, this is actually pretty relaxed lol
These types of "bosses" are the main reasons why people leave their jobs. It's unnecessary toxicity. They should be able to assist and at the very least give tips on how to be more proficient, so the kitchen staff can work harmoniously as a single unit. I would have given her the knife and walked out.
I love watching all the recipes and processes, but wow she really needs some empathy and people skills. Dude is doing his job without complaining but she has her own narrative in her head, horrible person.
