I think it’s fine to play the game at a casual level, since the rewards are nothing special. You get 60 - 120 extra stellar jades biweekly for being sweaty. That’s not even a one pull.
Box2 is a really shit player who doesn’t understand the easy game mechanics though, and he’s demonstrated that when I watched his streams XD
time/luck is not difficult there is way too many things to use your stamina on in building characters mainly with relics and traces yes when it comes down to it even with those maxed you probably can't clear the hardest content in the game if you don't know how anything works but that doesn't make it hard if it was truly hard it would instead have you using different characters trying to figure out the best way to get around certain mechanics not losing and then being like oh well i guess i gotta level up my traces and get some better relics like im a new player and this has been frustrating to me because i know a lot about the game now its not even a lot but like all the questions you asked in this video i would be able to answer i enjoy learning about how the game works and can say confidently i know a lot more about the game than some people who are able to clear MoC 12 even tho i can't get close because im a new player i have some level 80 characters with decent traces relics and lightcones of course i can't clear the hardest content in the game i do easily believe that if i was handed a day one players account who easily beats MoC 12 I would be able to do the same thing but i know for a fact that there isn't a soul that would be able to do that on my account but if you gave me unlimited stamina or i actually played since day 1 yes i would be able to probably somewhat easily (idk) if i had unlimited stamina rn i would be able to farm likely in a day enough to be able to beat it but i can't because my progression is locked behind a timewall THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT DIFFICULT ive been playing the game almost every day since sparkle came out i should be able to in that time grind enough to have better built characters than i do but i can't because i can only do around 6 attempts for relics a day not to mention how much catchup i have to play with leveling traces for all the characters i want to try out as well
sorry for ranting essentially stamina is the WORST thing for this game timelocking is not difficulty the game has decent mechanics but that doesn't matter if the way you win is simply by leveling up your characters/grinding or spending money instead of trying unique things because of well designed bosses :) thanks for listening to my ted talk please let me know if you disagree (also im f2p if that wasn't obvious)

I agree with everything you've said. I've been playing everyday since RM's banner in December, light spender (BP + Express) and I can't 36 star MoC (Meme I got 33, Kafka sitting at 35... same for Aventurine cuz I don't have a limited sustain so to survive I gotta run Natasha + Gepard and I end up with 15 cycles; I didn't want Aventurine and Luocha is just so... meh, in terms of kit, compared to what other limited sustains can do + they've been delaying fu xuan for so long it's irritating me, gonna get huohuo too when she reruns)
My runs legit require more RNG than 0 cycles I wanna rip my hair everytime 😂 (plus my goddamn ratio not crit-ing 4 times out of 5 times with 80% just makes me want to end myself :D love the new MoC... (I don't have dhil))
So to come back on the subject :3 I agree with everything you said, the stamina is horrible. The game itself isn't hard, with knowledge and well built characters, MoC isn't complicate to 36 star. Having to play catch up is the annoying part. Gotta farm mats to upgrade the new characters + gear. I legit run all my characters on rainbow sets (except kafka and black swan who are on DoT set) cuz I just can't focus on gear with my stamina due to everything else I need to get and the little I farmed can't give me the crazy nice gear sets of people that farmed 800+ times 😂 (I farmed less than 150, maybe even less than 100 times idr lmao). I'm managing tho, my characters' stats aren't bad at all, just unfortunate for the characters that get huge benefits with set bonuses like FUA (my ratio hits like a chicken I wanna cry)
I legit have a friend, day 1 player, who brute forced his way against kafka with JL e3s1 cuz he couldnt get his ratio + robin to work... and the worst is that it worked --' (eidoleons might have played a big role but if I do the same with my JL's gear, even in a universe where she's e3s1, I ain't brute forcing my way in... 33/227 with fall of aeon s5, no set bonuses)
Lately I was working on getting a great quantum set (still haven't had a single gear with 3 rolls in crit :D) but had to pause it to farm for Robin, finish upgrading JL and I was running very low on credits so I even had to farm that (which I have to farm again as I finished upgrading my things and am broke again) --'. Plus I'm kinda building HMC (gonna stop at lvl 8 traces) cuz their kit is pretty good, in some niche cases I might run it, gotta get it geared before tho 😂
@@kagetora03 im a casual f2p day 1 player, and i fortunately beat this MoC with DoT team on the first half & aventurine, ratio, pela, tingyun on the second half. I did it in exactly 8 cycles: 3 on the first half and 5 on the second half. no sig LC whatsoever except Ruan Mei's
this past few MoC has been really difficult as i only managed to complete it in 8-10 cycles at best. and having a decent arsenal of characters really helps with clearing hard content, even though they're not equipped with the best stats. from my perspective, 90% of the time MoC is about the characters you use, so my advice is instead of building a few characters to their maximum limits, you should spread your investments into building more characters until they are just enough to beat the hardest contents.
i assure you with time comes progress, and the thing is you can't really expect to bruteforce endgame content when the characters you pull & build aren't the one that's in the current meta, those are the consequences if you pull a character based on your liking. Don't expect much when you're not ideally building and expanding your characters.
Also damn Box2 was absolutely wrecked during the entire video.
Last few stages of Moc and fiction are hard but optional, but those boss weeklies that needs current banner units are really hard without the units but you can borrow unit from a friend.. I think the hardest part is getting all chests on a map which is not that hard if you watch a guide or don't care about getting all the chests.. So no, that game is not hard but you can make it hard

i started this game less than 5 months ago and i can full star moc 12 and pure fiction as a full f2p 😭, so hearing 250 days is crazy to me, unless you just don't care about beating the game
i pulled for all healers didn't got the shield character. i got the damage check no issue but my character just die without shield and i just stopped playing after that.

Tbf is not difficult, but you need to have some focus and dont spread thin your resources, i think that today is easier to focus on two teams to clear PF than MoC, so you can get some Jades to pull for characters.
I play in a casual level but i do think that i made some mistakes along the way that made my account feel a little bit behind, but nothing that with some time (and luck) to get things going
Spending all my resources on a levelling a single character feels like soo long and tedious (especial with them refusing to give me good relics) when I can have more fun spending them on levelling multiple characters to a useable level

I don't believe I can give a honest assessment on the difficulty of star rail because I spent some money in the game. Not a whale ammount, but I have the vast majority of limited characters in the game, a few of them with their signature light cones, as well as all of the non-limited characters except Welt, and I'm aware that's not something every player will have access to.
Under those conditions, the game is relatively easy if you're just setting the "3* moc12 and pf4 every time" as your goal and you understand the game mechanics to a basic degree (as in, you at least know how to use your characters and teams, and what the enemies mechanics do, as well as having a grasp on how speed, actions and turns work), but I do believe the difficulty ramps up significantly for f2p players who haven't been playing for enough time to build some cookie cutter teams. If you challenge yourself to strictly use 4* units, then the challenge becomes considerably higher, though still viable.
I'm F2P since launch, and I've been able to 3 star every content with relative ease. It should only be difficult for people that are just playing casually and just want to use units that they like without much thought into the game, or relatively new F2P players.

It's not so much that its hard, but the average player is very casual. At most they have a vague idea of what relics to use, and when they hit a wall they get frustrated. The playerbase for these games are HUGE and Hoyoverse has no particular reason to prioritse the more hardcore player experience over what the Whales want.

As someone who has the certificate of clearing moc 12 and pure fiction 4 as well as knowing every mechanic in the game only lacking a bit of knowledge on speed metrics on pure fiction, This game is the easier than pokemon in terms of turn based combat lol, Even 0 cycling is kind of a stat check to be honest, or just trial and error with needing the mobs to hit specific characters for energy cycles, This game and genshin shouldn't even be compared they're both too irrelevant in terms of difficulty.

Star rail is so easy, I autoplayed all worlds, all difficulties in sim universe with random relics, not even well equipped or leveled characters. I reached AR65 before quitting due to lack of difficulty slowly turning into lack of gameplay, before eventually, having no desire to do anything because I can just autoplay everything the game threw at me, game lost the meaning of game, it was just a second job at that point, doubt difficulty increased since then and even then, I had the same experience with genshin till AR35 before dropping aswell. Hoyo games are just beyond casual and im very excited for new high budget gachas like wuthering waves to start competing and taking the spotlight.
Well those are casual modes meant to be done weekly/daily. The endgame function in star rail is where the strategy and building characters comes in. Moc,PF,Sim Gold & Swarm. Granted genshin has barely any hard content but star rail for sure do
