“That’s the sad stuff we live here” 😅😂☀️ Nice portraits mate. I would push developing if I had not the ideal exposure.

Thanks for watching! Totally agree about pushing but I wanted to try and get as close as I could with a standard setup. Pushing and pulling would make for a great video though 🤔

I’m really nervous to get a camera and I wanted to get a holga. I’ve watched lots of videos and I think I get a lot more then before. If you you think I should get a different camera or if you have any tips let me know please. Ur videos help alot

So glad to hear that they're helping! It really depends on what you want to shoot. Holga is a great camera but I would say the best camera to learn on would be the pentax zx-m. I did a video on that one as well, check it out and see what you think. 35mm is generally "better" to learn on because you have more images to practice with and it saves you some money in that regard. Holga is a blast though.

There are 35mm Holgas, but even still, I wouldn't start shooting film with a Holga, because the results can be disappointing, as you can see from Hamilton's video. I'd start with a point & shoot 35mm, or an SLR.
Of course, I could be too late in my response.

Great video! I’m curious, what light meter app do you use?

It's an app called Lightmate. Super reliable and it was free.

Here again, the Holga proves to have a light leak originating from the over dimensioned shutter release system. Some people fill those gaps with black foam material.

Was that a constant light? Or were you just using a modeling light? I shot a strobe with the Holga and it triggered perfectly and there was plenty of light. (radio trigger off the hot shoe, not a sync cable)

How do I know is taking photos should it show a number for each photo in that red mirror thing? Bc I been taking photos and number 1 still in there red thing not moving?

The film roll should be advancing. If you're not seeing the number move then something is probably off with loading the film. It can be tricky with the holga.

I have never been able to get the film to attach to the take up spool. I always use tape.
