Times Radio if it is true that Russia is slowly making gains in Ukraine. The people of Europe have a very good reason to be worried and concerned. Here is the reason why. When a country targets and kills innocent civilians with rockets missiles and artillery. Like Russia is still doing in Ukraine. And those 53 Ukrainian civilians killed while attending a memorial service. In the Kharkiv region and village of Hroza on October 5th 2023 comes to mind. Should Ukraine lose the war and Russia decides that it wants more territory than just Ukraine. Then other European countries should expect the same kind of treatment from Russia with their own civilian population. No doubt other European Nato countries are aware of this fact. And they will do everything they can to give aid and to support the people of Ukraine. Obviously for Europes own safety and future too not just Ukraine.
After this war in Ukraine is over I don't think the Russians are going to try anything again for awhile, and if they do the only nations that need to worry would be the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) and Poland, maybe Finland, but I don't think they would venture further after this debacle.
LOL. You don't win a war just by capturing territory. Look at the sanctions, the ruble, the human losses, the massive destruction of the military capabilities of Russia, the sunken ships, the planes they can't rebuild because of the sanctions, the russians who left the country, the end of gas supply to Europe, the new NATO members (thanks to Putin) among many, many other factors. Russia won't win any war. Maybe Ukraine is going to lose, but Russia already lost, and its getting in a deeper hole every day.

Putting the Israelis on the same level as the Russians and stating that they are also indiscriminately targeting civilians is both factually inaccurate and morally reprehensible.
Israel is in no way equivalent of Russia, but they do have an AI system to speed up rough guesses of targets in Gaza, with 20 to 1 ratio of civilian deaths to combatants. Compare that to the infamous civilian deaths from US drone strikes, and you start to appreciate the scale of IDF carnage. War crimes in Gaza, absolutely. Equivalent to Russia, no, not at all.

A Russian pilot who defected reported that they have fewer flight hours than western pilots. Pilots sign that they have taken a training flight, the flight is then cancelled, and the fuel is sold on the private market.
Is he the one who stupidly posted something that showed his location and then he was assassinated
12:31 What Austria?
Let's get this right. Austria has already ceased its Gazprom payments in November due to a legal dispute with the Russians. So they were already getting no more gas from Russia - at least not for themselves.
No! Not 450,000 casuaties, but 800,000. Confirmed by the mayor of Moscow. He said they have 600,000 wounded from the war. One third of that number is 200,000 (following normal statistic) are 200s (now pushing up sunflowers!).
I am Russian I can confirm this!
And apparently 2024 casualties exceed 2022 + 2023 combined. That’s horrendous
Excuse me, the mayor of Moscow is not in charge of counting those killed and wounded.

Yeah, Jose Borrel's "Garden Europe". We all know.
After this war in Ukraine is over I don't think the Russians are going to try anything again for awhile, and if they do the only nations that need to worry would be the Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia) and Poland, maybe Finland, but I don't think they would venture further after this debacle.
@@markberryhill2715 "Garden Europe"debacle !?
I can well imagine that the hatred against a regime that constantly aims its weapons at citizens only encourages citizens not to aim their arrows at Zelensky but at the aggressor Putin/Russia.
This gentleman is brilliant!
Brilliant propaganda
If all you say is true, then Russias military must be dissolving fast. Their moral must be rock bottom.
How's the 3 day super duper special military operation going?
It's hardly thriving, is it? 10k+ North koreans shipped in to try and help
Indeed it would but this bloke is either stunningly ignorant or just telling lies.
My biggest concern is how we are going to survive all these financial and political crises, especially the power struggle in the US. The government has really made things difficult for its citizens and we cannot just sit by and suffer the consequences of bad governance🙏...
There is no power struggle in the USA. Harris and the Dems conceded the election.

If thé Brits confiscated ALL assets of the Russian oligarchs, would that help to fund their defence against Russia?
Also: it would tank last sector of British economy.
...and army blunders......and Navy blunders......and now Ukraine is taking helicopters out of the sky with marine drones! Ukraine wins by attrition.
When did Russia change from ‘Mother Russia’ the ‘Motherland’ to the ‘Fatherland?’
the kremlin under putin always call it the fatherland, only the people use motherland... today, or when RT are spinning BS
Sex change? They're trying to "Man ♂️ up".
When they started behaving like Nazis.
That's a good question. Most likely the reason for the usage is that родина comes loaded with the connotation of established native borders while отечество is more weighted towards citizenship and thus conceptually more in tune with any convenient moving of borders.
Finally Russia will be called a ‘mudderland’😂🤣
Where is the UK headed? First BREXIT, now this. A UK that seems unable to defend itself, has a failing vision of its international relations??? The Nordic countries have their act together, Poland invests heavily in its defences and France and Italy are ramping up in face of Russia's agressive posturing. Britain risks being left alone in the left field. Does anybody in the UK gouvernment have a clear vision? NATO has reason to be worried! Will the UK be able to continue helping Ukraine? Churchill must be turning in his grave!
The UK is where it is because the "patriotic" party have been gutting the country for the last 15 years and stolen everything that isn't welded down.
I live in Sweden . What do you mean the Nordic countries have their act together ? Only 25 % of conscription call ups pass the medical here. People are expecting the Americans to save them. Do not believe we have compulsory Military service here. Just British propaganda to get people to join up. And how on earth is Russia supposed to conquer Europe when they have only captured a small part of Ukraine in almost 3 years.
What utter nonsense. The UK has been a leader during this conflict while France and Germany dithered with their fingers up their own arses. Britain has also maintained their NATO spending obligation for decades while many European countries reduced spending which has left them scrambling to rebuild.
So how will Starmer buy new suits? Ali has been exposed so I presume pensioners will forgo a piece of coal and chip in.

Loses in a last three moth was a lot higher then 30 000, more like 40 000. Recruits signed up bonus is between three(remote regions) to five(Moscow)million rubles or $30 000 - which is more then USA armed forces signed up bonus, this is driving inflation every single month and unsustainable, since there are not many “volunteers” even for million rubble bonuses to go around.
Trump has been very pro-Putin but I wouldn't put loyalty at the top of his values.
When will NATO join Ukraine? Thanks Robert Fox for sharing your wisdom amd knowledge so eloquently. Thanks, James, for your intelligent questions. P.S. The study behind Robert makes me feel so much better about mine! Kier Starmer is missing in action.

Yay! This is the first Brit who really gets trump! I was thrilled to hear him predicted that Kellogg will be one of the first casualties because a lot of us understand that is the case, here in the us. Mr Fox more realistic view of trump is refreshing. Trump doesn't like Ukraine it's true but now he has seen how incredibly popular Zelenskiy is (when they appeared together in Europe and Zelenskiy was applauded instead of him) he is changing his attitude towards Zelenskiy. Because he worships celebrity and he understands the power of celebrity so he now has a little more respect for Zelenskiy, even though he felt he had to snub him by publicly not inviting him to his inauguration and implying it made no difference whether he came or not. How insecure
Putting the Israelis on the same level as the Russians and stating that they are also indiscriminately targeting civilians is both factually inaccurate and morally reprehensible.
what part of it is inaccurate.....and what part of gaza have they not hit
He's spot on - neither russia nor Israel can be allowed to expand their borders through force.
Bullies & thugs both of them.

Why Russia has to dictate what Ukraine does ??
Let Ukraine do what they want with their country how come they didn’t say anything when Sweden and Finland joined NATO?
Who didn't say anything? Russia squirmed and Ukraine was delighted.
Because the winners make the rules.
ru has thousands of planes, but they are in storage and they don't have the pilots to fly them 🤣🤣😆
those storage locations are getting hit every week now with longer range drones, rockets and missiles...they will all be gone by end of this year!
Also some of the older ones are being traded with N.Korea, not sure what they are being exchanged for. Rocket Man looked pleased with the deal in a recently published photograph.
I read at the start of all this that locally Russia had 200 operable fighter jets but only 100 crews trained and they were limited in training to less than acceptable by military standards.
Robert Fox was excellent but he is lacking in bookshelves! An impressive precis of where the conflict in Ukraine is going and delivered against a beautifully shambolic room setting by a well read and thoughtful man. Robert Fox most likely is right about Trump and Ukraine. I still hope he is wrong and Trump proves a hero for Ukraine, Europe, U.S., world interests turning on full support for Ukraine to end the war. The economic and relations rewards for such and the historic value would huge for Trump. What happens with Kellogg will tell the tale.
There is very little US national interest served by supporting Ukraine.
At least 200 billion down the drain for nothing.
Trump has the opportunity to end the war by providing more weapons to Ukraine but Trump's ego always gets in the way. i honestly think Putin has something on Trump by the way Trump treated him. We’ll see though.

WHY are the security services over stretched? The Tories have been in power for donkeys years so this must have occurred on their watch.
Because the UK is basically broke because the pyramid scheme its financial security is predicated on is failing.

I’m surprised the host said that the US is still exceeding EU/other European nations in aid to Ukraine. This has not been true for some time (check the Kiel Institute).
Increasingly true about actual weapons too, as well as leading investment in production in Ukraine.
You are writing the checks, and shipping things, yourself, so you definitely know what they are spending, and sending?
@@taramichellepagan I mentioned one notable, non partisan source which breaks down who has sent what.
Most NATO aid packages have a price tag and most usually give some details of the material. Though some countries traditionally don’t do the latter so much.

Interesting, but gave up when it got to the rabid Starmer bashing. Yes, I'm sure he could do more and he needs to do more for Ukraine, but the last Tory government left us with the smallest armed forces since Napoleonic times! Our armed forces are in the worst state they've ever been in, and that's NOT Starmer's fault.
James asks one question, sits back....
SDRs are notoriously bad at identifying future trends and procurement needs. Every single SDR has one prime directive - ‘Save money’.
They dress it up as being ‘more cost effective’ and ‘increased flexibility’ but SDRs have been, and will always be, about cutting costs.
Every one in the defence sector shudders when they are announced.
Putin's puppets sounds like a Russian kids TV show.
We COULD be seeing defence spending as an investment into UK businesses and try to make them a success on the export market.
But neither Labour or the Tories seem to want to have to invest in our economy to fix it.
Comparing Israel to Russia? Seriously?? If Ukraine hid their military equipment in civilian areas I’d understand Russia attacking those locations. Let’s be fair…..
Yes, I found this astounding, seeing that Israel's single-minded pursuit of the terrorist organisations of Hamas and Hezbollah has led to the fall of the Assad regime and with it the collapse of the Russian air and naval bases in Syria as an unexpected bonus!
Russia never protected Syria against Israeli attacks actually thinking if it didn't it would avoid being tied but failed to realise that if Iran and Hezbollah left Assad would fall and Russia would have to go so Putin too clever by half and has lost its position in Syria
both countries lead by warcriminals, both trying to steal the land of their neigbours , both denying their crimes etc. both with a lot of political influence for the ultraright/ extreme nationalist/fascist type groups etc

Currently, I don't see Trump being concerned so much about whether supporting Ukraine is as a good deal or bad deal. But rather, it appears to me, it is not being embarrassed, by his adopted flawed policies which he cannot bring himself to abandon. Much of what Trump does is based on face saving and appearing successful.
