- Schmidt was the only 16 years old (excluding Mckenna) that scored 30 goals last year in the whole CHL. He isn't ranked very high in the first couple of mock draft because of his 5"7 frame but I'm certain he will end up a top 25 pick by the end of the year.
He will played tonight for Canada at the Hlinka cup and should be a big part in their success during the tournament

Looks a lot like Brayden Point with his masterful rush attack, inside-driven habits, and ankle-breaking puck handling ability. Will probably drop in the draft the same way Point did due to his size.

a little, very more straight line speed and explosiveness oriented, than slow down and dissect the defence like B point

Honestly reminds me a lot of McDavid in terms of playstyle. Maybe not as good, but seems to be very similar.

He might be slipping because of his size but I think teams will learn from the Brayden Point pick and not let him fall into the second round ahaha
I think the flames will take him with the devils pick. he is elite and he stands out so much on the ice. PLayed better then lipinski and honzek so... they would be a great trio
Lol he's nowhere near the fastest player in the draft. You must be confusing it with some kind of acceleration/change of direciton, where his lack of mass is beneficial.

@@TChockey No clue, probably some European overager we've never heard of. Some Pierre Engvall type. What I'm saying is that this guy is not very fast, he just can't have the stride length to skate fast. It's like at the CHL Top Prospects game last year where players like Luchanko, Misa and Catton that were frequently called fast skaters got crushed in the 30m forward skate by Miettinen whose greatest need of improvement was his skating, but he's 4-5 inches taller than them.
