Nothing spooky - except for the shadow man who walked up the stairs while you were sat outside in the sun, by the front door, at the end of the film. How many missed it, by not paying attention. Skillfull, nicely done, as always.
So late to comment - but this is fantastic, George! Of course it is! 😉Why such a straight mouth for the pumpkin though? 😃Oh and that Lynchy scene with the staircase? Just perfect! 😉
It's almost a shame you had such good weather, a thick fog or howling wind gives the place a whole new persona (if a building can have a persona). I've spent many nights out at the farm alone, and love the place. The imagination is the biggest worry out there...that and me turning up, lol. I have a friend who swears the room above the living room is haunted by a woman, I've never seen her nor heard her moans or chains rattling. The best I can come up with regards to the farmers wife story is that is appeared around the time the navy used it for officer navigation training in the 60's, probably something the sailors came up with to scare each other.
Ha! Yes, I was cursing those blue skies! The only thing that bothered me there were loads of people coming up to gawp at the house and troops of people milling around the gardens picking little mushrooms! Yes, it's a lovely place - I'll be going back, but probably not alone!
@thedartmoorpodcast I may venture across to Dartmoor in the very near future it's on my list. Never know you may see me on the moors chatting away to my camera lol if you do shout me 😆
Spooky locations? Try some of the newly built suburbs. Stuffed full of normal people but where do they all come from and why are the streets so eerily quiet?
I can show you where there are real hauntings around Totnes. Places where I have experienced some quite scary things. Even my current home was haunted when I moved in.
Excellent video. I live minimalist ghost hunting and by that I mean, not ghost hunting at all, just listening to the atmosphere of your surroundings. Love the channel BTW!
Very well maintained for an empty ...... what's the crack? Youth Hostel? The dream is spooky. Personally, I'd ha left the pumpkin on, maybe floating in some aqua or on a bucket o sand to negate fire risk
Yep, I think about that dream quite often! Nuns Cross belongs to a school in Plymouth and I think they use it for field trips/scouts/that kind of thing. Was a really fun place to stay!
Thank you! It was £55 for the night... and I think it's the same flat rate no matter how many you bring with you. It belongs to some school in Plymouth.
Cheers George, just found it on tinternet. Deffo changed hands. I wanted to run a first aid course based there a year or two (ie more) back and it was dumb dollar as they say. @@thedartmoorpodcast
Very good; I suppose I shall have to take you on a tour of places I know from personal experience to be haunted. We shall exorcise that scientific, rational scepticism from your bones!😂
Dartington Hall is haunted. I was a student there & used to wander around at night when I couldn't sleep. There are things there that do not welcome you.
@@Marcy1xxMcGrath You need to get hold of Mount Kelly School in Plymouth as they own it. If I remember correctly, it was a flat rate of £50 no matter how many of you there are!
Very good. Great to see some time lapse. Get a drone. I can't stand the things and perhaps it would remove some of the romance of the adventures. Happy Hallows eve!
I've thought of a drone... but yes, I find them a bit irritating, too! In the end, it would be one more thing for me to drag around and I don't think it'd be worth it for a few cheesy aerial shots.
@@thedartmoorpodcast A drone would be great for that day when you finally encounter a ghost George 🙂 You could hand the drone to the ghost, and by the time it figures out how to use the infernal thing, you could have reached say, Dundee? Safe from the ghostie, but not from the Picts? 😉
Obviously it’s all bollocks as even Brian cox Said ghosts have to be a certain amount of energy and the technology they have now would of picked it up But it’s still entertaining
I think your just shut off internally to the suggestion , I don't think it's a thing you can do unless really pushed into trying but if you don't feel that creepiness and the goosepimples them your just shut off to that type of thing imo

Well spotted!
I had to look twice 🤣
'Weird threat detecting testicle' isn't a phrase I thought I'd ever hear 😂
Quite the Tom Hanks and Wilson moment with the pumpkin! Amazing how many bunk beds there were 😂
Yep, you can get almost 40 in there! Party time!

Thank you! Pumpkin carved very quickly as it was getting dark and I was hungry, otherwise I might have got a bit more artistic!

Brilliant as usual, love the way you plan out the video and tie it all together.
Thank you Dartmoor!
The squirrels George, always with you, often unseen and unheard, following you out there and then hiding in that tree until you slept...........
Haha!
Anatomy of Fear 101 ... excellent. Great channel.
Very kind! Thank you!
Another good video dude.
That place is amazing.
I'll have to see about taking a look at that.
Fantastic educational work again I love it 👍🏻
Thanks! Yes, it was a really cool place to stay, and really cheap, especially if you go with a group - recommend!

Love this George, even the creepy head you burnt in the fire at 12:35 🫣
Oh! I didn't see that!

God I love sarcasm. You do it so well.

Thank you - very kind! Yep, the ghost hunting apps etc. all seem unbearably naff... Much better to just soak in the spookiness!
@@thedartmoorpodcast I agree I think alot of ghost hunting equipment sort of misses the point

Nice one as ever George. How did you obtain access? They charge a fortune a night for groups, I thought.

Searched for what Sylvia Plath said about ghosts being reified emotions, instead found this “I am terrified by this dark thing that sleeps in me.”
Oooh spooky 🎃
Thanks Jack!

Probably! Maybe I need to go with some believers to see if their 'freaked outness' becomes contagious.
@@thedartmoorpodcast The thing is, I'm too easily freaked out by anything to engage in such adventure. No, thank you. 😅
