  • This is from the vinyl LP 'As Time Goes By' released in 1976
While the original date was on a Sunday on this day in 1983 at the TAV celebrity theater at sunset and vine in Hollywood the 1983 pilot for Jeopardy! was filmed along with a second version only existant as a still. This is the main theme for the 83 version and used as the opening intro for the 78-79 version without the final round the theme was also released on the vinyl LP "as time goes by". And one thing I noticed is that the pitch is 50 Cents in pitch higher than the version heard on the show it's also 0.1 percent faster than the show theme so I pitched and slowed it down to where this version plays in sync with the theme this is the most accurate sounding version to the actual composition and version used as the theme. And while many think this doesn't sound like a theme fit for a quiz show I personally think it does as the opening sounds like a dramatic entrance to the game that will determine your outcome and the rest being the triumphant fanfare that plays as you emerge as the sole victor of a challenging game to prove whos the best. Also at the end as the instruments fade out you can hear someone put their mallet down.

there was also going to be a video explaining the theater and show in detail uploaded but there is a bunch of issues with editing staff so heres a direct rip from the script: "While the set was hated I think the computers and stars could have been a pretty cool solid set until at least 85 possibly far outpacing the sets supposed to come after it if it had been fully executed as a proper set, I even think it looks cool as a lover of vintage computers".
Closing Line: "And years after those days of importance are long gone people will pass by the former site each day without ever knowing something of value and importance once stood there at the very spot they walk".
