    The one song that plays at 15:20 called I Can See Clearly Now was originally recorded by Johnny Nash which was released in 1972 and 21 years later, it was covered by reggae singer Jimmy Cliff for the 1993 movie Cool Runnings.

      Great song during the sunniest days! Johnny Nash died during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, same as Trini Lopez (who died from COVID), Nick Cordero (who died from COVID), Kobe & Gigi, Charlie Pride, Charlie Daniels, Eddie Van Halen, and others!

    I just thought I'd come here & pay my respects & condolences to Jim Lange, who passed away on Tuesday @ his home outside San Francisco. Jim of course was best remembered for hosting the long-running "The Dating Game" & numerous other game shows. Jim will be missed, for sure!

    the $100K tournament prize package plugs took about 90 seconds each show. ONly time they were aired on the 1993-96 Family Channel was during the tourneys. That practice continued even after FAM cancelled the WInk interactive shows on 12/30/94.

    That's the nice pilot theme tune for the show's closing theme.
    Uncleared with audience applauses, but that's OK.
    Anyway, it should have been used for the show's main theme, even after the series pilot episodes.

      I agree with you on that. The closing theme pilot for the pilot was better than the main theme.

    I wonder why Jim allowed the players to spin the wheel but Jim did it himself on the actual show,

    • @davec5090
      @davec5090 6 років тому +2

      Because this was a pilot show, it was to showcase how certain elements of the show were to be presented including minute differences. The change back to Jim spinning the wheel could be because of Standards and Practices purposes.

      Probably the only reason why these very early episodes aired to begin with...if not for Ross (and maybe someone else?) qualifying for a tournament during this week, Sandy Frank probably would've preferred to have just kept them under the radar.

      I'd probably be able to make out an episode list for the $100,000 Name That Tune hosted by Jim Lange.

    • @JIMOTOOLE1949
      @JIMOTOOLE1949 6 років тому

      I have now prepared an episode list for $100,000 Name That Tune hosted by Jim Lange. They're in the order in which they were re-run on the USA Network 1989-1991 (also, in all probability, the order in which they were first run in 1984-1985). The order in which they were produced was probably very different. There were a total of 160.

    • @danalong1237
      @danalong1237 3 роки тому +1

      And all 160 episodes originally aired every weeknight at 7:30pm on WAVE 3 in Louisville right after NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw.
