I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of this series. Logie was in danger of being "That guy". Puking, walking away from his rod, almost decapitating a boat mate... LOL!! That's a hell of a grab by Gary! It is tiring being out there. Takes a lot of energy just to stand. That Sea Keeper technology is incredible. Nothing beats fresh fish right off the boat. 👍

I went to Alaska in 2017 with my son's.
We didn't get out on the water, so when we go back we will be calling on the captain. One of the best show you guys have done!

Alaska is one of my favorite places in the world, we go to the Kenai every chance we get and do a couple of halibut trips each year. Current Lady is a bad ass boat, going to give him a call and maybe book with him this summer.

Awesome episode!! On a normal year I’m in Alaska commercial fishing for halibut and black cod in the spring and salmon in the summer. Missed bringing home the fresh fish this year.

Great video! I have been to Alaska on a fishing trip....it was amazing! Ask your guide what a "greenie" is. We got caught there in a storm that we had to wait out and make the float plane out the next day.....a bit sketchy. We went out in 30 minutes that morning...and it took about 2 hours to get back. Great fun....awesome experience!!!

I have that same drone. One day it lost connection and just up and took off. Some kind soul found it a couple miles away and called my number (which was written on the bottom, pro tip)

Ok guys lol I noticed the captain had a white circle patch behind his ear, then at the end of the video Logan had a white patch behind his ear too lol am I missing something

The Captain didn’t have any patch but most of the guys had those circle patches on which is used to prevent sea sickness. The patch needs a prescription or you can get over the counter stuff in pill form.
Heck yeah, you gotta try some cheek meat off of a salmon.
Ok, I have to make a comment about the drone activity on the boat.
When they are within a few moments from losing power there is an internal program to return to base and land. Base is usually designated as the point of take off. If you started in open water that can be problematic because the boat usually isn’t at that location any longer. Splash and goodby. Second, a licensed drone pilot would have known that. A FFA pilots license is required to fly a drone. You must pass the 14 CFR Part 107 test. Lastly, witnessed in previous videos, using a drone to spot, watch, or film wildlife is prohibited. It is considered harassment of animals and you can lose the drone and your hunting privileges if caught. You can shoot and eat them, but don’t dare harass them. FYI from a licensed drone pilot.

Timing really...we've all just divided on concurred this year in an effort to get more footage for the channel. Same reason we don't get to all hunt together as often as we'd like to.
