This is ridiculously good. Thanks for posting. I listened to a lot of Victor Bailey back in the 90s, first time seeing a performance. I didn't know that he passed. R.I.P. Victor and Jim.
Big ups! Rip Victor Bailey 🙏. He was a class act. I met him when I was 17 and he was around 19 and of course he blew me away! I mean up to that point in time I knew a couple of kids around my age who were good bass players but I don't think any of them had the overall brilliant chops that Victory possesed!!
Saw him in 83 with WR, sublime.. At the time I was disappointed it wasn't.. someone else everyone mentions but on reflection that band were better except for the percussion which was always unnecessary after mysterious traveller, imo
@@mateuszwojak2092 Man, subsequently years later from meeting Victor I would run into him when I was down and out and he would always show me grace and compassion. Ironically I also met Jaco by chance when I was in my early twenties in the mid eighties and it was like we knew each other for years!
Gone to soon!! Always great to see Vic live! First gig I saw Vic on was with weather report, right after Jaco left. We couldn’t believe what we were hearing. Great musician and great teacher!!
We were so lucky while Brane Rončel had his hands over jazz scene here in Ljubljana. None of them, who came after him had connections and taste to come even close to what he managed to bring on our stages..whats even better is, all these concerts were toll free..WE MISS BRANE'S MUSICAL NAMES TOO MUCH. All concerts he organised, and were recorded by Slovenian national TV, should be available to wider audience. The man is national treasure for all the greatest jazz names he managed to bring here. You wouldn't believe the list of jazz legends he brought here.. THANK YOU FOR UPLOAD!
Muito obrigado . In my past life - and I beleive that, I'm sure I was living somewhere in Brasil, because I adore samba, bossa nova, carneval, cachaca, language ...all that :)
Amazing player - played on my favourite Weather Report LPs - Domino Theory & Sportin' Life - him & Omar Hakim laid down some serious grooves! ua-cam.com/video/MF7_h-AhS1U/v-deo.html
@@snoopywalker1881 yeah perfection vs having fun and making some effing money? easy choice. cuz they sho don't make money from the recordings.....at the end of the day.
Vic was a great Label mate, schoolmate, neighbor, business partner and friend. Thank you for sharing and keeping his “voice” out there.
This is excellent!!!
One of the Baddest Cats to ever play the Bass, Victor Bailey RIP
The Europeans save the day again in terms of documenting stuff. Thanks.
Vic is gone, Jim is gone... what a world.

Great studio album but this live version is not up to the level we could wait from Victor, Dennis and Kenny...
Are you kidding? What a treat to see them play this tune. The studio version is tight sure. But live music is where its at my friend.
