One of the best things I did to my boat for sure. I treat mine with Star Brite Waterproofing once a year. My top is 5 years old and looks new. I replaced the back supports with straps like the front to fold flat. I pull mine super tight. If you reach up and pull from the corner while latching it you can get it tight and all the w waviness & flapping while riding will go away. Nice job.
Great install video dude. I saw a recent video from another channel on putting the smallest version on a kayak. Ill be borrowing fron both videos for my 1232 jon boat
Good to see you Chris, looks like you made some good mods on the boat. Had a great day Saturday and caught 11 largemouth bass. Biggest one was 2 lb 13 oz. The rest were only about a pound or so. Do you still use the foam blocks when transporting the kayak?
Yes I do Glenn, I think I may replace the Velcro as they are getting a but loose but I do use them. Sounds like you had a great day, 11 bass day is very good. Good to hear you are doing well.
@fishingistherapy I'm still toying with the idea of upgrading my kayak seat but need something that is going to keep my center of gravity low. My friend bought a Pelican seat for his Tamarack and it sits high but he also has inflatable pontoons he attaches to it.
Hey bud. Love the videos. I just ordered the same top for my 14 foot jon boat. Do you think I will have any problems running the stock plastic bases? It looked like your metal ones didn’t fit perfectly as they were curved too much. Just wanted to know your thoughts because if the plastic ones are fine I will use them
If you have round gunwales then you might want to try the curve ones, but the flat ones can work for sure on the rounded gunwalesband definitely on flat gunwale or miunting surface you just have to mark your spot really well before drilling, but I wanted that extra grip on the surface area so I went with what you see. Hopefully that helps.
@@fishingistherapy Awesome. My boat rails are rounded just like yours I just wanted to make sure that the plastic ones weren’t known to fail. It can be windy on the river I run. Thanks

Definitely do this ri mine!

Dude you can't go wrong, you definitely won't regret it. Glad you found the video informative.
@fishingistherapy Just keep bringing out the excellent content man. Thank you
@SOGOnic Indeed I will. Thank you for watching!
Man I just received my Bimini top, just in a different color. Definitely needed this video.
Glad it helped. I love the Bimini and it will keep that sun off me and the family when fishing the dog days of summer.
You made it look easy and logical. Thank you.
Thanks, appreciate that. Glad it was straightforward and easy to understand.
glad i found you on u tubers great interest
Definitely! I appreciate you watching. Stay tuned more to come.
You should drill a small hole in the quick disconnect and attach a piece of paracord so you don't lose them if you remove them on the water
Man that's a great idea. I'm going to implement it,, especially if it helps me keep and secure my investment and comfort!. I appreciate it!
Just subscribed, I've enjoyed your videos in the past, thought I should do it, you seem to be such a quality young man and I love fishing videos.
That means alot honestly and I do appreciate the support, it keeps me motivated and the feedback is great to hear. Thank you!

@glennrobbins2372 Yeah that's important. The stadium seat I have on tamarack is comfy. Going to be upgrading to a pelican kayak very soon.
I use a 7 ft umbrella on my 1548...........however youer Bimini defintely has more shade. Be careful out there
Definitely will do. I like the coverage area and really like the Beige versus the black one I had. Be careful out there as well!
I have a Tracker Topper 10'. the width C to C of gunwales is only 42". I wonder if
these tops would be suitable. Awesome boat you have btw.
Yeah they might work, check the size and measure twice, you should be able to make this work.
I didn't see your link to the stainless hardware. I too will need these installing on a
rounded surface

@thejoshfargo I haven't heard of any feedback regarding them failing. Let me know how things work out them.
What size did you use for your top
The 3 bow, 46 inch height, 6ft long and 54-60 inches wide.
