  • 48 Hours with Truck 4s C Shift. They arrive on-scene to find a small trailer blazing and possibly a dangerous situation with an LP gas tank near the trailer. The next day of this 48, the are called in to a large apartment fire and our directed to perform one of the many things that the Fresno Fire Department does right – salvage. Their respect for peoples homes and personal property is something we have never seen with any other department. Late afternoon, a call comes in as smoke showing. The Truck Company arrives on scene of a Dollar Store and are directed to the rear in the storage. It is filled with smoke, and they bring out their thermal imagers and scan for hotspots. Some of the crew check the many air conditioner systems on the roof. Its hot in Fresno.

    Imagine you are shopping at the store for groceries when all of a sudden you see firefighters there shopping as well. What people sometimes forget is that firefighters are people too and therfore they may do the same things that other people do such as shopping for groceries. If I was in that situation I would just wave to them and say hi and I would also say thank you for your service. After all firefighters often risk their lives going into burning buildings or in other calls such as car wrecks and yet they have no problem with doing so if they are able to save lives.
