It made more money than 4, 5 and 6 COMBINED, it was a huge hit at that time and made Halloween and Michael mainstream for the first time since Halloween II. Remember H7 was supposed to go direct to video and done with a $2 million budget after the box office floppage of 5 and 6. Jamie Lee returning changed everything, it was given a $17 million budget with Jamie Lee getting $5 million and a huge marketing rollout and theatrical release. H20 saved the series

Tje scream theme aswell ruined it for alot of people the mask jump scares and scream theme and it doesn't feel like halloween
