- Pilot Vlog 154.An early morning IFR flight in the Cessna Citation XLS to Orlando, Florida. The next day we fly the Citation to Naples Florida. Where we spend several days before flying back to Saint Louis. this video includes some of the ATC conversations and all of the takeoffs and landings.

I spend 4 months every year in Naples since 2003... You might want to look at the one of the most beautiful beaches, people watch, go for a walk, enjoy one of the many excellent restaurants, etc. If you are bored in Naples, good luck with the rest of the country. I won't give you my impressions of St. Louis, but a weekend was more than enough many years ago.
Got to love that. Walk out of a hotel in a town called Naples and jog straight into a scene from a Rousseau painting (minus tiger). And a red snapper sandwich too. America the exotic! Great vid. cheers.

I like how Citation XLS is embossed on the yoke so you'll never forget what you're flying. One of many reasons Cessna is awesome

Gorgeous once you got thru that initial cloud base. I can think of worse things than being 'stuck' in Naples for a few days, although seemingly not a whole lot to do.! That walk was pretty.

Naples Botanical garden is legit (not too expensive). The Local in Naples is super good. Snook Inn in Marco is a great spot as well.

Love your video's mate, recently subscribed. I've noticed on the XLS your right engine oil pressure is always higher than the left. Why is that? Really appreciate the effort you put into making these, keep it up. Happy new year from down under :)

Definitely want to go more of the corporate side of flying but one thing for sure is it would be hard to enjoy long layovers in places with not much to do. All part of the job I guess.

I enjoy your videos. I am retired corporate pilot myself mostly in Citations.Your videos bring back a lot of old memory's. Almost all of my time in the airplane, like yourself, was single pilot which included 501's, 550's, S550's and 560's. One airplane that I have seen you fly, N15JH, I flew for 5 years for a local oil company back in the 80's. It was N211DB in those days. Anyway, thanks for the videos.

Used to live in Naples. Fly out of there all the time on my father’s company falcon 50 and hawkers. There is plenty to do there. Lots of good shopping. 5th Ave. Waterside shops. There’s a good car museum by the airport. Great theater on 5th Ave. Lots of good restaurants. Marco is boring.

I visited Fish on Fire on 5 Dec while visiting Cessna Center (MCO). Had the snapper, spicy and good. Great video as usual. Stay safe!!

I think it comes from not wanting to spend much money and repeatedly going to the same places.

Question: Since you and Mike visit MANY warm climate restaurants and such on your travels, do you both refrain from eating the same menu items for the sake of health safety? I.E., stomach bug episode, etc. while flying? Are there built-in safeguards for something like that?
We probably should have that policy but, rarely do we order the same thing.
I would loose my mind being a pilot. Love the aviation part of it but living in hotels.....Just kill me now. Not for me.....Seems really depressing.
for the most part it's ok but, every now and then you end up in hotel you'd rather not be at.

Really enjoying your videos. Used to work on Navy jets (A-6 and F-4 and aircraft carriers) as an Aviation Ordnance Chief Petty Officer (22 years). So I am very interested in aviation videos. You post some well made and very interesting ones for sure. I do fly on XP11 for fun and try to learn what I can about flight and navigation just for my enjoyment so I find your videos great to bounce off of. Well my grades dropped for not taking practice test but most of what I'm missing is stuff we haven't gone over 66.7 Was low 70S well I have to restart ems school this summer got sick and missed to many days.

Hi Jim, another good flight in the books. Is that citation November two Quebec certified for single pilot operation? I don’t think I’ve seen any videos where you have flown solo. Just curious.
Ralph Woodard any Citation past the CJ4 is not Single Pilot certified.

Maximum altitude from St Louis to Orlando was 41,000 ft. From Orlando to Naples was 16,000 ft. but, most of the time was at 10,000 ft.

Coffee, cookies, more coffee, cabin fever, more coffee, cookies, FBO and fast food. What medical, when? Many hours of boredom. Such a glamorous life. It is hard to stay in shape and proficient for rate time you will need to handle the emergency issue.
