As an Argentinian I have to admit that despite our "wine rivalry" Chile makes really, really good C.Sauvignon and S. Blanc. I have a Domus Aurea in my cellar and it's one of my most prized possessions. Cheers!
Yeah Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon is very close to Bordeaux in my opinion. Don't know why they say it's like Napa because I think pessac-leognan. Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon is something I think Which tastes of it's own which is also a really good thing. The only regions outside of Bordeaux that taste like Bordeaux for me is Maipo and South Africa
Cab sauvignon from Chile it is arguably the most underrated. I am referring to the ones priced between USD $20 - 50. A fine, comparable $30 Cab sauv from Chile will be priced at $100 or more if made in the USA. Arguably Chile and Spain have the best value on wine right now.
Greattach video. I Love Chile camernere Reserva especially after 1, 2 hours pouring and aired out.....rich and delicious with chocolate aroma and low bitterness which leads to a well balanced tasty ending on the palate. Thru this video I learn more in depth of Chile camernere. Thanks and hope in a near future will be able to travel to Chile from Alberta, Canada. Cheers. SANTA CAROLINA CAMERNERE RESERVA., Carmen Gran Reserva Carmenère 😆⛱🌍😆😎 KEEP UP THE QUALITY, AND MAKE SURE NO SHORT CUT TECHNOLOGY MARKETING CRAP PLEASE. . GOOD PEOPLE GOOD GRAPE REAL TASTY WINE THAT ALL MATTER..
I love Carmenère too. unfortunately there's not much on the shelves were i live . Thanks for enumerating some eminent producers though. I will look for some of these bottles , cheers from Germany!🍷
Hey everyone, I think Chile is such a beautiful country. Their Grapes are just so beautiful and healthy just like their vineyards. And their wines are so freaking delicious
Wonderful red wines from Hungary. Most know Tokaji and furmint, but there are incredible Bordeaux style blends from the likes of Gere. Beautiful stuff.
Excellent, I live in Chile and that is pretty much the story . I would had like to see a bit of the worldwide renown Chilean wines Don Melchor , Almaviva , Amayna , Cumbres , Kai , Don Maximiano , however almost all Chilean wines are named by grape variety , Best greetings from Chile , Sincerely Victor
Excellent video and interviews! Key people in the Chilean wine world. I loved and worked 4 years in the wine business there and it was great to witness the passion and the big commitment that many of these winemakers and vignerons where putting into the quality and identity of their wines! 🍇🍷👌
I love my country, I think wine is way our toppest thing ever, more than a product, everything about it. I wish we would study about it in schools (in Chile), because many people don't know much of it. We do drink it, since it's good, not expensive at all, and there are so many brands in the supermarket... Salud
There's a good article from the US NIH (National Institute of Health) regarding how the Melatonin levels in Red wine can help with getting a full night's sleep; slow-down the onset of Alzheimers and help prevent cardiovascular disease. So now I have a glass of Natura Carmenere wine whenever I wake-up at 2:00 AM; within 20 minutes I usually wake-up 5 hours later.
Hi! We are a group of students from the TU Delft and we need to make a short movie to announce our student association’s yearly studytrip. On UA-cam we saw that you have made some awesome shots of Chile. Would it be okay for us to use this material? We are looking forward for your permission! Kind regards, Anne Koesen
It's a great video! I'd be very happy if you make a video about Turkish/Anatolian wines. We have really great grapes and wines but the industry can't progress much and be world-wide known because of the political, religious and economic(taxes) reasons. Love your videos!
How is Los Vascos regarded, especially with Lafite Rothschild ownership. Why is it not regarded as high as Almaviva with Mouton Rothschild collaboration?
Best wines of América from to argentine. I Like Malbec Ruttini or Luigi Bosca. Chile not bad medium quality but Económic price and brazil low quality ... ..
The global consumption of alcohol goes down every year, so I am not sure if filling the gap inbetween lowcost vine and high price fancy wines will help the industry. Either people drink wine because of the effect of alcohol, then price is important, or they want to enjoy the wine itself, then price is not an issue. Both ends will always have a market, but inbetween it will be tough.

I'm chilean and I can say that Argentinean Malbec wine is really good too..

The world is “waking up” to Chilean wines ...I love them.
I want to visit this beautiful country--it's like a Southern Hemisphere unspoiled California.
