    The chicken looked great. I have spatchcock the chicken before. My question is: I am buying a RT-590 and some people seal their lids with Lavalok. Upon watching your video you have a RT. Did you seal the lid?

      I sealed the bottom edge and the sides but not the top. It really helps keep the drippage mess down. I am quite happy with it. Can't say it makes more smoke flavor or anything, but it doesn't mess up the airflow like some people say. Works just fine, never had an issue. It's just really helpful at keeping the mess down on the outside of the barrel.
