Not sure why you don't have a million subscribers. You explain things perfectly and detailed, and there is no bullshit telling people how to get rich overnight (won't happen).

If I buy, say, $10 million worth of BTC while it's at $10000 price using a market order, will it allow me to buy them all at that fixed price? Or will it charge me the prices set by each individual seller right up to the highest point it reaches once the $10 million of BTC has been filled?
I've only been trading small amounts so it barely consumes enough to push the price up or bring it down.

      Hey Jim!
Your second one is correct. This one:
*it charge me the prices set by each individual seller right up to the highest point it reaches once the $10 million of BTC has been filled?*
      For example:
Right now, BTC is trading at $9778.00.
To get $10M worth of BTC on the spot with a market order, the order would take all of the supply up to $10,800.
That is only a rough estimate based on what the order book says right now. This can change as the price starts to move up.
      Thanks for all your comments!

so if the Price of ETH now is $600 and i want to buy it at $550 what should i use limit buy or stop buy?

    • @deeplizard
      @deeplizard  6 років тому +3

In this scenario, we use a limit buy.
Since the max price you are willing to pay, the limit price, is lower than the current price, the order will post to the order book.
The order will sit on the book until a willing seller takes your offer.
For this to happen, the price must drop.
      Hope this helps.

but if your order executes as a taker you pay fees. I alwasy trade as a maker to avoid fees.

Agree. Sometimes it's better to take the fee to ensure an execution. Otherwise, our order may be left sitting on the book as price moves against us. All it takes is a 0.25% move in the opposite direction to render the fee savings useless.
