I put a tissue in the hole & it worked
Then let it charge with a wireless charger but it all good

Just wireless charge it for 20 minutes then problem solved

After hell lot of trials, I switched off the phone and plugged in for charging. And it was charging very well. But if I remove and plug in again , it wont charge and shows a notification. So power off and charge it up to 80% since the phone is working well.

My mom accidentally dropped her iPhone in water. It has been months now, and the charging port does not work no matter what we have tried and no matter what we do. There is no message on the screen we have tried multiple cables as well. The only option is to wirelessly charge at this point and apple is trying to say that there’s water damage in the charging port from when she dropped the phone in the water. How is it that a new phone has water damage after dropping it in water especially since these phones are supposed to be water resistant up to a certain extent? This makes absolutely no sense and I’m hoping there’s a way to fix this!
