    I love your commanding spirit of a coach, and how you were like "come on you can do it" so motivating! I found your channel by chance, because I'm trying to do pull ups, I looked it up, and your video of pull ups popped up first, and I said to myself "I'm gonna be able to do that do, it is difficult, it takes time, and patience, but I'll get to it". I'm so happy I found your channel, you're such a motivation and an inspiration, I'm definitely going to try this workout I'm sure it'll help with my pull up progression. Thank you Summer ❤️

    Summer....oh my!!! I got SO much out of this video! I don't mean to gush, but this Core Routine really hit the spot for me. I think the real selling point is your constant reminders to tuck, squeeze, and push through each hold -- those reminders are pure gold!! A little backstory: I "discovered" calisthenics a little over a year ago and have struggled through several programs that I am sure were quite good, but just didn't fit me just right. I had a goal to do a handstand by my 60th birthday this last July -- a goal I reached (if only briefly!!)! My journey had been kind of "down and dirty" at that point, and to a degree still is. But I have committed in this new year to go back, learn and practice correct form, and at some point truly rock a solid handstand with good form and control. All that to say, I really loved this video and I am looking forward to exploring many of your others -- Thank you!!!

    Found you by chance as well. Thank you for the step by step guidance. I had no idea my big toe was to be touching the ground on a bridge. I'm just working on staying injury free as I age and weight train. I'm definitely passing you along to my massage clients. Fabulous coaching.

Wow I was surprised for how short it was how intense it got! Definitely switching up my routine to 75% calisthenics, 25% kettlebells .. very impressed. Thank you!

    Hello Summer:
    Where did you train in Calisthenics?
    I have been looking for this sort of work for several years. I have followed you along on my mat with your video "7MINUTE CORE ROUTINE FOR HANDSTANDS" and it is both inspiring and outstanding in terms of content and quality. I have Osteoarthritis in my hip joints and the "Isometric" content of the exercises in this video I believe will strengthen all the key muscles surrounding my hip joints through stability.
    I am full of admiration for the effort you have obviously put in to achieve such overall body sttength. Truly Admirable. I will be following your online UA-cam videos going forward.

    Hello summer, thanks for yoir vids. I just found your work and have started adding it to my handstand practice. Wondered if you have any pieces about kicking up. I have always relied on a lot of momentum to get to the wall. Would like to have a more controlled kick up. Any advice? I have been working on this for YEARS!!!!

    Thank you for this summer! This is very helpful. I was starting to get overwhelmed with information overload and not knowing where to start as a complete beginner! When it comes to laying on my back with knees bent lifting from y core. I feel A LOT of strain in my neck, even when mindfully engaging my core. Why is this? any reccomendations?? i assume my core isn't strong enough? I've always had this problem when it comes exercieses such as that. Thanks for your help!

    • @Summerfunfitness
      @Summerfunfitness  Рік тому +1

      Love to hear you're starting! No, I don't use machines. Machines are typically meant to strengthen muscles in an isolated way. Calisthenics is about teaching your muscles to work together.

    Serious question: how do you not do the "bread loaf" with your stomach?? In the second to last exercise, I tried to tell my stomach to flatten and pull in, but I literally couldn't while engaging my core in that position. Am I missing a certain kind of strength or is it more of a brain thing, haven't figured out the proper cue to tell my body? How do I work on that? Also, you're so beautiful-strong with radiant skin.
