I always look to sports the same way I try to approach any liberty in general for myself, answering the following questions: 1Cor 6.12a - Is it appropriate? 1Cor 6.12b - Is this dominating me? 1Cor 10:23 - Does it build? 1Cor 10.24,33 - Am I looking for my interest? 1Cor 10:31 - Does this glorify God? Rom 14:15 - Does it come from love? Rom 14:23 - Does this come from faith?
Just don't worship sport and make it more important than God. Otherwise I dont think it will be a problem . But i don't think supporting a team is worship .For example i will be happy if my team wins but they are not the most important to me .God is the most important
AS,....This is an excellent topic, and an important one. Christians have nothing to do with watching sports. It is something only the Godless people of the God hating world do. It is their religion. The problem is, the entire church is filled with the Godless people of the God hating world that have all been deceived into thinking they are Christians.
@@tonybasoni8443 Isn't that the goal of a church? To have godless people there regularly. You are not wrong some people love football. I will leave you with this the assembling of believers does not need to happen at a church and the bible does not say anything about where and when we should assemble. Those who sheep let others tell them what to do.
Its not the playing of sports that is a problem, it is the watching of professional sports that is a massive problem. All the major sports like football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, etc. are all there to distract you from God. They are part of the Godless worlds religion. These are the men of renown just like in the old testament, those heros of old that the world worships. Christians have nothing to do with watching sports, this is what the people of the Godless world do. We are not of the world. This is one of the things that separates the real Christians from the counterfeit christians. Those who watch and follow sports are not Christians, they are the people of the world. Do not be deceived.
Just out of curiosity, what is your opinion on attending a classical music concert or viewing an art exhibit? If one is a musician and desires to appreciate music, or if one is an artist and seeks to admire the art of others, is that an issue?
@@tonybasoni8443 Because it's not truth ,that's your own conviction who are you to pass judgement on your brother ???there's a difference between idolizing sports and just watching every once in a while .

This is so far fetched. You have to be insane to think or praise sports how anyone praises their religion and God…
I don't exactly understand your comment

dude,... You are wrong and are deceived. Christians do not watch sports, the Godless people of the God hating world watch sports.
Interesting!! I had not heard this perspective before
Wow I agree 100%
Yes?
NE,.....Wrong answer.
Its still not a sin . Don't call things sinful just because you dont like it .
Lol I find this topic ridiculous. It sounds like a poor sales pitch to avoid skipping church to watch football.

Doesn't Christianity apply to every aspect of our life?

That's according to your own wicked legalistic theology ,which is not biblical.
And i don't even watch sports .
@@cowpokejohnny3419 ,...No, that's according to the Bible. If you done even watch sports why are you so offended by the truth of the Bible?
