Michael, you're awesome. Unfortunately, you're going to need a 58 low to get on the podium in Tokyo. Fortunately, you've got what it takes. We didn't see your best this season, as it was cut short, and now you have 1 more year to make even more improvements! Good luck.
love hearing you give pointers and tips during quarantine, so I can break those bad habits when I'm back in the pool. would love to see a 200 fly, or 100 fly soon(my fav)!
Thanks for your generosity. Wish you all the best. Always nice to listen to you. Ever motivating.
I learned a lot from your vlogs you are really are awesome cant wait to see you on the olympics 2021
Your Race Analysis is so cool 👌
This was dope. Do a video about how you lift for certain strokes and muscle groups at your gym
Keep making similar race analysis videos Michael. I have been swimming for almost 15 years and I am learning new things from these videos. Thanks for the great content.
Awesome time 59.14! Good use of your self quarantine time! 100 Breast has always been my favorite race. Thanks for providing great analysis!
Keep doing there analysis videos! Love seeing your perspective! Bless up🙌
Great video! Please keep analyzing races they help me stay focused on swimming!
Another awesome analysis. Thanks for being so open and sharing your expertise.
This is so cool! I can't wait to see you swim in Olympics!
@@tompage4209 i am fully aware that it is cancelled, i am just saying i cant wait to see him swim in olympics whenever that is
Andrew: "I want to be the quickest swimmer in all strokes for all the sprints"
Peaty: I'm about to ruin this man's career.
Hey bro, I hate to be the village idiot, but in both of your analysis videos and other than assuming your in the lead I have no idea what lane you are in. Before your analysis begins will you please indicate which lane you are in? Thanks
I loved your race analysis it helps me as a swimmer in all aspects of my career. I want more of these videos
Awesome...my 10 year old and I learned a lot from this. Especially not increasing rate into the finish. Thank you very much for going into that. You're the best!
Thank you for these insightful videos. As a coach, this is very helpful. It’s also always a joy to hear your commentary and watch you swim!
I refuse to believe that a world champion swimmer can be such a natural UA-camr. Also, thank you for sharing this with us!
Really great I've learned Alot from this video even though I am not a breast stroker, thank you for all the great tips and I am looking forward to seeing other race analysis videos covering the other strokes.
Another great video, it’s cool to see what you see can be improved from your races
Very nice analysis. All the best for your future races
I really liked your vlogs. I think you have professional approach and a lot of calm to what you do. So you are the world champ. I wish you luck and don't worry about swimming break ;)
Love this, not only entertaining but also very educative. Would really enjoy more of this content!
dude I love your videos! you're awesome. Just one small suggestion; In the underwater shots could you please point out which one you are or in which lane you're swimming? like just an arrow is fine... I figured it out on my own eventually but just to be clear it's easier to spot you straight away! keep up the great job
This is solid. Great vid, and sharing ways to improve that you can think about and implement in your own races. Love it.
Thanks bro!! That was incredibly helpful! Hope you continue to make more of these amazing videos!
Good analysis. That was an excellent 94M breaststroke. Also, your underwater pull is decent, but some guys are excellent. You might want to add 10 underwater pulls to your routine.
Hey Michael! 😊 I think it would also be nice to edit the ISL competition vlogs. I was in Budapest, met you, and the competition was soooo nice!!!😊I was really happy about everything! Is special for us, the swim lovers to see how competition and behind the scene goes! 😊
Race analysis is all we needed
Really interesting episode!
Would like to have a question...
Could you possibly get the tempo higher in the last 7 meters and hit the wall properly for a 58 high?
Loving the daily episodes, race analysis are my favourite so far
18 months later and now it's "Can he break 58?"
Hey this video is truly awesome and i really enjoyed it. I feel like i learned a lot and i really appreciate the fact that you share this type of information with your viewers. I was wondering if you could do a similar video for a fly race since i am a flyer and i struggle on my timing
So I was wondering why you go into your open turns with your head out of the water?
Please keep making race analysis vids. How about more comparisons of different swimmers strategies like your 100 free v.s. Caeleb Dressel/Kyle Chalmers.
You did it! (broke 59 today at Indianapolis)
At trial, 58.19 (AR) then 58.14 (AR). World 3rd performer of all time. Congrats.
TEAM MICHAEL ANDREW
Hello Michael , I have got two questions: First question is witch races you going to compete at the olympic games (I guess 100 breaststroke 100 fly an 200 im ? Second question is , witch dryland exercises you use to impress your strenght for the breaststroke races ? (I hope you maybe could tell us a little bit about that in one of the next videos)
Yannick v.D pretty sure he’d go with the 50 free instead of the 100 fly
Yannick v.D well he has to qualify, but to be honest he has chances in lot of events. In order of highest probability- 50 free, 100 breast, 200 im, 100 fly. The 100 fly is the most contested of all of them, so he’ll definitely need to make some adjustments. But the thing is, is that his race in Iowa wasn’t GREAT. Much like his 100 breast he had a bad finish, and I’m sure Michael knows he’s going a 50.xx soon with the correct improvements.
Ok that's right , thanks for your reactions (but the 100 meter butterfly also had been very fast) !
Turns out, you can and did!
Now you’re almost at 57 you’re a legend man
Michael, compared to the other swimmers, in your breakout you do a smaller fly kick. Why is that? To produce less drag despite the added force? Im loving these videos btw
We need more of these!!!!
Do a video where you enjoy some gaming and video call some friends close to
You. Just and idea! Thanks again your such an inspiration to younger upcoming swimmers 💪💪 very Christlike!!!
Who’s back after he qualified for the Olympics???
Can you go over your taper routine for a tyr pro series and then compare it against your taper routine for worlds
Also, I would be interested in your mental preparation before a big meet race. Are you nervous or excited? How do you feel if you were to swim next to Peaty? Do you start making mental excuses the last 50 of a 200IM? Do you have trouble sleeping before a big meet?
Ik you’ve talked about you on the keto diet in past vlogs but it would be awesome for you to do en entire video dedicated to the topic and how it makes your performance better.
On your second 50, your hands look like they are breaking the surface a tiny bit. Is it better to keep your hands submerged during the recovery? Ive also noticed other swimmer such as Katinka Hosszu do the overwater recovery
awesome video😃
Please could you go over what happened in the 50 free
Hi Michael, which UCAN products do you use??
How much power do you think you get from your kick verses pull???
Please can you point out which lane your in with each clip x
Can u break down some of your 50's in the next one?
going into a breast/fly turn or finish, do you think is it better to take a 1/2 stroke or use a real powerful kick and try to get a longer full stroke?
"Small brain moment" -- I don't believe I've heard that before. It is said of marathoners that if you look back, your racing is done though the race goes on. About your feet coming up; this seems an unusual problem or one I've not encountered. With breastroke, the goal of course is to remain as horizontal as possible and perhaps this is some sort of overcompensation (for dropping feet) become habit? What does Ray Looze say about it?
What program do you for analyze your time and stroke?
what website were you using for your spilts ?
I watch you since you had 1000 subscribers
Do your 100 fly from des moines next.
What events did u plan to swim at olympic trials
Great work
Ok Michael there is one thing my coach told me when I'm swimming breaststroke is tht when you glide forward I used to make a lot of splash which is wht I'm noticing on ur stroke try to do tht at the least as possible bc it causing a lot of drag
Please do 100 fly!!!
Could you do the 100m butterfly next?
He is amazing
love this!
Keep it up
I want to see the atlas vlog!
We want fly teaching.
Cody Miller and Michael Andrew are gonna be the Olympic qualifiers for the us (when the olympics come around😭)
You just hit 58 and got a American record you in 1 year
Can you do 100 Fly ( 51.33 sec. )
i predict after this covid pandemic clears up you hit a 58.91 for trials prelims you hit ah 58.39 finals and qualify first for Olympics
What lane?
Who’s here after he broke 59?
You are amazing
Please do a De Moines

I don't want to be rude but your finish and the turn was awful
Few elite athletes, in any sport, would show generosity and share their passion the way you've done. I think what you do is cool and I appreciate that.
