I have a metric butt load of these Taro growing in a ditch behind my house (in Florida) and I was going to take some and grow it so this is an enormous help!
These plants naturally form bulbs which can be devided. Some nurseries have labs where they take a piece of the plant and mix it with hormones and chemicals to get it to form many tiny plants instead. Not all plants can be reproduced this way but if they can, it is a cheap and quick way to mass produce plants. They are only available as tiny plants though, not as bulbs. But they will grow bulbs which you can divide as they mature

Thank you. I show them in all of the garden tours. They have grown into healthy new clumps and will be ready to divide again in the spring
Muito bom!
Do they ever wilt from shock after you transplant them? If so how long does it take to perk up?
I love it... Nice 👍..love from Indonesia
Thank you!
I believe that when the mother plant is relieved of supporting all those babies, she will grow much bigger leaves...🤔🤔
Where is your garden?
What climate do you do your gardening in? Is it hot and quite dry in summer and cold in wintertime?
We are in 9b west coast of Florida. It is mid 90s during the day. We get rain a few times a week if we are lucky. Winters maybe 3 frost days
Just got subscribed🍃💙
I thought colocasia and alocasia liked wet soil? That soil looks bone dry...
What time of year should this be done?
It's best in late spring or early summer
what do you mean you bought a tissue culture? a bulb? a cutting? a runner?

Mine wilted 🥀 when I tried this....any help?
It will wilt a bit as the new small plants grow their own roots but they will, just keep them moist and out of direct sun
These being a bog plant, perlite is not recommended.
