    I'm running the HHA Ryz on my V3X and a Dual Trac on my Divergent EKO and love them both (nod to the HHA overall though) but once rhe Arxos is deemed solid for out here in the PNW (Im a native Oregonian living in WA State and we own property and have family in N.Idaho) Im really interested in trying it cause I REALLY like the look of the 3 pin and the bubble up top. Great content guys. Keep up the awesome work.

    Arxos sight is legit! However there are a few things that need to be corrected and Dan and Tim pretty much nailed it. I would add pin brightness on .10 pin size need to be brighter ( sounds like their new light will help with that), beef up those multi pin indicators but also put them on the outside in a small bracket. I would rather have my tape on the outside because then at full draw you would be able to glance over and see where you were at. I tried not to like the top level and I don’t all the way for 20 yard and close shots but I really love it for extended yard shots because I am not constantly looking down at the bubble it is just there! And I couldn’t agree more with the 2nd axis adjustment that needs to be done better and machined better with no slippage. Great review guys, great sight, Taylor And Scott at Dialed are stand up guys and really innovative. At this moment in time even with the few things that need corrected it is a great sight!

    30 yards increase in range, all other things equal, is pretty damn impressive. It would have been a fairer comparison using your BG mover with multi-pins, using the bottom pin as the mover. Low pin vs low dot on the DA post sight.

    Did you really gain any distance with the sight? If the single pin got you to 108 yards, could the difference be that you used the bottom of the post on the arxos? Did you try and use the bottom of the post on the Montana Black Gold sight? That would give a better idea if you really picked up yardage and how much if any it was. An easier way would be to use the top pin on each and see how much yardage you really gain.

    I like what you said about making this stuff bulletproof. I love my Uv3xl. Great scope. But i dont like the plastic cartridges. The front one is already cracked from ever so slightly over tightening the grub screw that holds them in place. For the price of the scope, i feel it should be all machined aluminum. Also the light. They need an option that does have the 4 minute timer. That can get annoying. But i do love the scope, no doubt

    The 3rd axis is inside the windage tube you have to turn the micro windage nob to move the bar all the way out. There’s two very small set screws, but it really needs to be changed alittle. Same goes for the 2nd axis, it need needs to be changed to. Overall though I absolutely love the sight it was really easy to set up.

    I haven't had my Arxos very long, but so far, I am pleased with the sight. However it is a lot of money, or at least for me and pretty sure for sights in general but I do think that these guys are heading in the right direction. There is a few things that I think could use some attention. #1 being the inside, outside site tape. I have a hoyt ventum pro 33 and had ordered the sight with the inside yardage tape thinking that it would be nice to be able to see it while at full draw, however unless I'm doing something wrong, at full draw the yardage tape can't be seen. If I had known that I could have ordered it the other way around. It's not a killer but. #2 is the weight, it's not a deal killer but with a little effort seems like they could lighting it up. #3 is the fiber pins. Even with the slide fully in the open position, they seem to be no so bright. I think if they would put a few more wraps of fiber it would cure the problem. None of these issues is deal killers but it is things that I would like to see addressed as they progress, which I'm sure they will. It's good to see innovation, and I have a feeling that these guys will do well. Keep up the good work. Also been watching your guys show for a few months and really enjoy it, what you guys are putting out as well.

    I think it would be awesome if y'all would do some reviews on some lower end sites. For the average working Joe that can't afford a $500 set. Like maybe get the three pin from CBE. Or another site along those lines that ranges under $200. Because the average working American can't afford to drop a couple grand on their bow setup. Along with the site what are some good lower in but good quality stabilizers that the average show could go by and be confident in it. Just the thought

    I noticed the sight has a white ring, and you were shooting in the snow. Did it feel like the sight picture was washed out bc of it, vs having a neon yellow or orange ring on the sight. Maybe they offer different rings? Just curious thanks

    • @timdonahoo
      @timdonahoo Рік тому

      Yeah, I think it would be awesome to figure out a way to add universal threads to the front of the mags for those that like the Spot Hogg MRT rings. I’m not sure how that would interfere with the bubble, but that and adding colored sight tape rings to match the VOID dials would be a nice touch…maybe even offer metal tape wheels that could be custom laser etched for when a bow is truly dialed in. That last part is probably a pipe dream but it would definitely make that sight above and beyond the best on the market for me.

    Is there a loss of Dow rage or impact velocity when adding that much yardage? No sense in shooting that far if it isn’t effective at penetration. I know the match will reduce energy but I want your thoughts on effectiveness.

      100% there is speed erosion at that distance. You can figure it out if you know your initial velocity and the time it takes to hit the target, with a relatively simple formula. It’ll get you close, there are more advanced equations though.
      But nope most people will not be hunting at those ranges. That’s for fun.

    I had a black gold pro site had nothing but issues with it I had to send it in because the pin stripped out on them and the Dail wheel got so stiff on it I couldn’t even turn it! I agree with the adjustment for the second access that needs to be addressed other than that The dialed site is one of the best damn sites I have shot and I’ve been doing this for 24 years with countless sites! also what’s up with always having a tag on Instagram it’s not enough that we follow you on UA-cam?

    So is that sight worth paying the money for it because I’m going to shoot the new phase 4 next year is the sight worth the money just your opinion

      Get on archerytalk forums and do a search for the sight…..then make your decision on the experience of people who have actually put some time in with the sight. You can’t make an opinion on buying something, from someone who has not put some time behind them yet.

    I’m shooting a phase 4 29”. I’ve got the dialed arxos 3 pin. I’m confused at what I’m doing wrong. When I sighted in I bottomed out the slide to start. I had to dial it down maybe an inch and a half to get the top pin on 20. No biggie. However when I slide out to 80yds my vane hit the bottom of sight. I’ve got the Mathew’s QAD rest.
    I do have my sight slid as far away from me as it pertains to the bridge lock position.
    Maybe I need to pull that in some. Any thoughts?
    Thx guys!

    Love my Arxos, but the 2nd axis adjustment ain't my favorite either. I ended up 20, 40, 60 on my 3V setup.

      Mine was horrible, actually sent it back for refund. They stopped responding to my issues and I had 4 days to go, they only responded back the day I filed for
      Refund, hmm were they trying to get me
      Past the 30days?
      My issues are as follows:
      Issues with the brake system not working, fit and finish on the cerakote was horrible it scratched super easy, my spot hog of 4 years barely has a mark in it. , not able to use the additional pins if you like your sight tape on the outside, the scope housing is super dark,, yup the pins were bright, but I couldn’t shoot It under cover, was to dark which made peep alignment difficult, angled rail made negligible difference gaining yardage. After two weeks the sight was jumping yardages after a shot even with the brake engaged. Get away from the 0.05 set screws they strip(blew thru 2 loosening), sight tapes were meh. 2nd axis adjustment was badly implemented same with 3rd axis.
      Overall I like the concept, it needs a lot of refinement for the price they are charging. Should not have been released untilAll this sorted out. I’m actually amazed how their testers never had these issues yet there are many of us reporting it on archery talk and to them directly.

    I think Dan's comment on the second axis adjustment is a bit nit picky. Ordinarily you'd only need to set it once, so two screws as opposed to his preferred one screw isnt a deal breaker. It's not like you need to reset second axis every time you shoot. Look like a great sight though especially if it gives that much vane clearance.

    • @ElkShape
      @ElkShape  Рік тому +1

      I kind of agree after dinking with it more (tc) although it’s not ideal to have to worry about second axis when you change elevation.

    Skip the Threadz and give Rogue Bowstrings a shot. Their customer service is great and they build strings fast. I have shot two different sets of R21 strings and they easily are as good or better than my Gas ghost XV thats on my target bow. Not to mention they support a lot of top level shooters and local shooters.
