Static Spawners are intended to work regardless of if the POI has a core and will override signals you need to un check static if you are using signals. There's a POI on the workshop named "Fallen Mining Ship" if a few player wants an example of this.
Ack! Ok, this sounds a bit more complex than I thought it would be. They really need a simpler way to add POIs into the game... I'm thinking about adding in some of my ships as POIs... but they aren't meant to be a fun challenge to explore and loot... rather just loot. Think I'm a LONG way from doing that. Thanks Spanj. Great info, even if it's a few years old now.
In a lot of Other Games I use to play that, I use to make things Like "POI's" much like a DM (Dungeon Master) etc, and as I have palyed this game and the "Reforged Eden" etc, I was/have been thunking of making some of my own.
I've no interest in making POIs, but how they're constructed and implemented in the game is good to know. Nice work. Came for the knowledge, sayed for the car crash that is EGS.
Actually you can use the NPC admin core if you want to only have selective blocks destructible or if you want to make sure it can't be cored for story missions, turrets and blocks you want to have destructible all you need to do is shoot it with a pistol once.
I forgot 1 more benefit to an alien admin core is you yourself can pick the loot you want to reward the player with, any loot put in a box with an alien admin core or admin core will be saved in the blueprint as part of the Poi, this can come in handy if you want to ensure after a grueling poi they get a great reward
The Naginata Refit for Reforged Eden is complete (just a bit more protection for some new thrusters remains). I posted pics (just one) on the forums and in Steam cloud, should you care to look. It comes with a HUGE price, tho. Advanced Cores are not available in Reforged Galaxy, but there are Quantum CPU extenders (+200,000 CPU per). The Naginata would need 6 of them. It's not on the workshop, tho. I'd rather have permission before I do that, anyways.
So if you have a base that is partially underground do you need to have filler blocks all the way around (the underside as well) and check the "remove terrain" checkmark? Will this then result in those terrain artifacts? I also was wondering if you can have multiple ships inside a base POI or do you have to remove the core of the ships so the game just counts those as part of the POI? Also, can you have a POI only appear guaranteed once on a playfield? Also, more tutorial videos please, these are great!
Thanks for the video Spanj - one question though: I've never been able to locate filler blocks, and you didn't show where you got them. Where are they?
trouble is...if you play single player...then it's like the ultimate spoiler....you know exactly how to defeat the thing that you made...what's the fun in that...?.the thing that I want to know is how to create your own scenario with vanilla type mining speed and the reforged type combat mechanics and the ability to have a free hand to put a furnace and other things on your CV that you can't normally have...ect...ect
I have a question have they fixed how complicated it is to add custom poi’s to your world from the steam workshop? I want to get back into this game it’s been a while
does the flattens ground function and terrain removal only work once its added to list of POI the game adds because in creative mode I can not make it work so it is a lot of work clearing off in order to work on it when I place it. It is being developed as a event - thrown out whenever- I am very new to this so I am tad frustrated from lack of info or out of date info that will not work. So I am asking for any help to get something to work. Is there a way to remove terrain to work of am I going to have to flatten by hand? Being this will be on the fly even to slap down for players how will that work? in the server software or by gm mode and if the later will I have to clean from hand. Looking for an answer. Thank you for you build series I have learned a lot and look forward for more along the way.

Thanks, I wasnt sure what was going on there.

First video I've seen with 0 dislikes

Thanks for going more in depth in to POI creation and spawning its a hard subject to understand. Well at least for me it is lol.
Devs should make it a more accessible feature to add POIs and Alien Ships.
wish this game was more popular

How can I add a poi to an already running scenario on my dedicated server?
You can turn that on in steam too (the id number for the mod will show in the bar in steam)
Thanks spanj!
very intresting ty for the time you put into this for us meer mortals :)
The "Random numbet" spanj is your steam id code it will be unique for everyone
Hey Spanj
Loved the video. Just wanted to ask.... when will the Farr become a faction in Empyrion?
Very nice! Poi's were the one thing I have been afraid to try building! Any chance for a basics on scenario creation?
I'm out of the loop on that once since they added the galaxy stuff. My advice is to take an existing scenario and modify it how you want.
Super helpful. Thank you!
loved the video thank you

I forgot to mention, you have to search for them in the item menu
no spanj I am not keeping up but I will always have this vid.
Can we just modify certain POI's Spawners and just use the in-game POI's? I need to learn to build so my custom POI's will be a while down the road.

You placed the spawners in the active state.
Where do you find the filler blocks? I cannot find them anywhere in creative.
search filler in the item menu
Tried everything from several vids to do this. Must be missing steps.
Is that c++
No, no it is not. It isn't even C# which unity uses.
Hi spanj. Also first
Do you plan to do a Q&A any time soon?
