This is my favourite kind of video....... a craftsman building in his workshop, no silly music, no talkin...... just the noise of the tools and the wood Thanks for this 😁
This is how I damaged my planer and bandsaw. After checking board with magnet I started plaining. Suddenly sparks started coming out, there was a cement, hard to see, with which somebody patched couple holes in my board. I ruined my planer’s blades, and later bandsaw blade too. It costed me $80 dollars to replace and 3-4 hours. I could buy new boards for this price and more. No more reclaimed boards if I work with power tools, with hands tools it’s ok, I can sharpen again...
Excellent workmanship; this turned out very well. Nice design and beautiful wood. I'm sure that hanging your coat up will now become something you look forward to. Thanks for sharing and best wishes. :)
Bob what a very beautiful effortless looking build. It was a pleasure to watch it come together. Love the tapered sliding dovetails and your homemade metal detector. I was at first in shock when you put on the stain but then realized what you were doing. What were the last two products you put on the surface after sanding?

(thinking while watching) "Dadoes, sure. Ah, no, sliding dovetails. Ah, no, tapered sliding dovetails. Ah, no, stopped, tapered sliding dovetails."
Bob, beautiful piece and a pleasure to watch you build it!
Thanks Frank!

Yep, it can happen. However, my bandsaw blades are cheap, and the planer blades already have chips out of them. So I wasn’t too concerned.
I love me some tapered sliding dovetails. Well done!
Thanks!
I will make one now!
I’m exhausted watching this video. Brilliant work! 🇦🇺👴🏻
Thanks!
It is simply a masterpiece. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Nice job Bob. Reclaimed wood is perfect for a project like this. I think just showing the work was great for a video like this.
Thanks! It was a bit splintery, but turned out OK.
Beautiful and useful!
Beautiful
good, it seems simple and easy because done by a good one

Nice video! I enjoyed the woodworking and the music free format as well.

The first was a clear wiping varnish. The second was a dark brown wax.
Good stuff, Bob! Curious, how'd you go about hanging it? French cleat?
Just a couple of cabinet screws through the back into the wall studs.
Great video Bob. Curious about your planer. Looks like a Dewalt. What model?
It’s the 735.
Job's a good'n
Thanks Matt!
ua-cam.com/video/b6zJy2CtGHo/v-deo.html how do you using this tool? do you have to use it perpendicular with the board, or at the angle?
The sole is angled so you use it perpendicular and it cuts at an angle.
