Note that the WOW does not replace the sea pass like everybody implies. I’m currently ride on the harmony of the Seas and can confirm it only allows you to buy drinks and open your room doors. I learned the hard way; you can not use them to pick up your kid from Adventure Ocean or leaving the ship. You must actually have the card.
I got off harmony yesterday and the thing now is the chat now costs money but a lot of this is stuff that you need to know

You have to wear a shirt with sleeves when you ride the Ultimate Abyss. The attendant on Symphony said I had to have my shoulders covered.

Tip - If you and your partner have different last names and want to bill the same credit card - make SURE guest services links the accounts. THEN double check before trying to leave the ship.

80 days out. Got the app already and checked in🤗. First time on the Harmony and looking forward to sail on her.
If a port day starts mid morning do not wait until then to quickly grab lunch. Last summer we docked at noon and everyone was trying to get lunch before leaving the ship. Grab something an hour before hand.
Was on Harmony this past January (2020). Fantastic ship! Going again this June. I do recommend doing Chops grill. Fantastic food.
I'm going on harmony of the seas in august to Sept 7 day to mexico and Honduras. Right on time Matt! Just watched a previous video I am going to get the wow band and sign up with the travel agent to check the cruise for cheaper rates so I can take advantage. Great job Matt!
Our shows were available for book right at 100 days out. I was not expecting it to be out so soon.

I'm going on Harmony next January. She'll be the largest ship I've been on, and I booked her because I'm bringing my daughter and grandson. I wanted to make sure there were enough things to keep an 11 year old entertained and maybe off of his electronics for a little while. 😉 I also chose her because "Grease" is the Broadway show, and I really want to see that.
We are going on Harmony on August 5, first time on mega ship.
All of the Oasis Class ships are absolutely amazing! I’ve been on all of them multiple times, and I can honestly say it’s impossible to do everything in only 7 days! There are so many pool options, entertainment, and activities that you’ll be torn on what to chose. The Oasis Class ships are extremely easy to learn even though they’re still the largest ships at sea. The neighborhood’s make it easy as well, and since the ships are so open you can get some really great views of Central Park, you can look down into the Royal Promenade from Central Park, and you can look down to see the boardwalk on deck 15 aft. These are by far my favorite ships for numerous reasons, but the most impressive thing is the amazing design that is so unique. Make sure to make reservations for all of the shows in the app before getting on board so you’re guaranteed a seat at the aqua show, ice skating, and of course “Grease”! I’m so happy for you to get to experience such a beautiful ship, and I hope your cruise is fantastic! And trust me, you’ll have to do another cruise on one of the Oasis Class ships to try and do everything they have to offer at least once!

I don't swim in public pools with all of those ppl that likely pee in it. Yuck!
Also, I downloaded the app as mentioned in the video, and even though my cruise on Harmony is not until May 3, 2020, all of the menus ... my muster drill assignment... and other information was already there !! :D

We just got back from our first cruise on Harmony of the Seas!!! We loved it. We wish we knew how much fun trivia, the entertainment shows, and how much we would drink before we went!

Chantel DuBose actually no. I think the size of the ship and the number of activities helped the overcrowding. I only noticed with the MyTime dining option in the Main Dining Room. EVERYBODY wants to eat between 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM. If you’re okay with eating at 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM, then MyTime is fine, otherwise, I suggest to do the scheduled dining option.

I am amazed when people, say that some ships are too big..you don’t have to meet everyone..I find the cruises have great entertainment of all kinds. If you meet other people that’s up to you,
For me there’s no such thing as too big of a ship! I prefer the Oasis Class ships over the Freedom Class, or any other ship class from Royal. There’s very seldom a line to do anything because there’s so much to do, and even though they’re massive ships they’re easy to navigate, and the ratio of size to people is significantly greater than smaller ships. Also, even though there are a lot more people you still see familiar faces, and you really get to know the crew. My fiancé and I cruise almost exclusively on the Oasis Class ships.
What make harmony better than the other oasis class ships in your opinion?

When can or should one check in? Our trip is late September but was informed the activities can be booked only when on board (beginning March 2022).

So this wow band is obviously RC’s answer to the Princess Medallion. What came first?!? I’m intrigued to know who copied the other, my impression was it was initially Princess’s (Carnival’s) then RC followed but I could be wrong😀

Has anybody been on Harmony recently? I’m physically disabled and the ultimate abyss slide looks like so much fun, but is there a lot of stairs to get on the slide?
You need to wait until you board to book entertainment. I checked with RC today.
OK I did not know about the expedited scanning your passport! Or maybe I did and forgot. So I just scanned ours and it doesn’t tell you if it’s accepted; I had previously entered the information manually. Is there a way to know if you have expedited, and what exactly does that mean?
If u drink like a bull pre buy ur package in advance. On board its expensive more like 700.00 per week I got mine for 500.00 pre boarded..on kids juice cola is 30.00 per day one of my kids got it and shared it with his sister. Pre arrange ur shows and extra dinners in advance.they book up fast.
Any activity recommendations for a 60-something yr old man on this ship? Anything geared towards someone who isn't necessarily into pools/bars? Has anyone checked out the library? Any on-board talks about local wildlife or anything in that vein?

I have a reservation on the Harmony OTS and want to rent a scooter as I can't walk long distances. I have an interior cabin as all handicapped cabins are sold out. (I will keep trying) Will a scooter fit through the door of cabin 8153 and is the bed at the far end of the cabin and not by the door? Thank you

I just booked the Escape Room for my upcoming cruise on Harmony and it was 19.99 each... I don't mind paying this small fee... but not sure it always had a fee? Excited !! :D
They added a fee a few years ago to prevent "phantom bookings" and no-shows.

I had a great time on Hawaii it's a long 8 days of seeing water but had a great time. Go o to see the cannery and pearl harbor that was interesting.bring sunscreen it's hot the sun will burn you

Went to purchase the drinks package and they added the price of the 18% gratuity to it. I was under the impression they charged that at the end of the cruise.
Nope. All drink and meal purchases have the 18% added on at the time of purchase. What you are thinking of is the gratuities for the stateroom attendants and other support staff. Those are 2 different things

Hello! Getting ready to book 2 rooms, and writing want Oceanview balconies. I'm wondering what levels are safe for not getting lifeboats blocking the view at all! I dont want my family (1st time cruisers)to be dissapointed.
You can verify online, but all balconies are unobstructed by the life boats. I believe the life boats are on deck five and only obstruct the straight down view of deck six.
wow bands are the future, they can track your movement in the common areas of the ship and see how everything is preforming.. its like cruise ship tycoon lmao

Ultimate Abyss - i believe that you must wear closed toe shoes and shirts with sleeves. No tank tops. Sucks to wait in the long line to be told to return to your room.

I am having a difficult time with your very quick rate of speech, but I like what I do understand. I'm a bit apprehensive about this very large ship.
You'll love it
Don't be apprehensive. The ship is quite good. The key thing with a large ship is book everything (entertainment, dining reservations) online in advance well before departure with Royal's Cruise planner. By "well in advance" I mean like months early if you can. Also, when actually on the ship, show up for entertainment 30 minutes before show time to be seated at your reserved seat you booked.
There’s no guarantee that you will see the main Broadway show. There are more people on board than seats at the shows. Set up for disappointment

I went on the Harmony back in Sept for the first time. I thought it was to big and to split up, compared to the Voyager, Freedom and Quantum class ships

I would suggest a travel agent ..mine helped me a lot to know which one to go on
I believe you must check what they offer you, what is you do or don’t want and go from there.
Entertainment a choice of restaurants activities. Best one would be ability to buy a drink package.
But not the end of the world.
For me pool…more than one , not to small…fab shows and events..

No pool in the Solarium was a huge disappointment!! We will not sail that ship again. One tip for anyone that wants to ride the Abyss. Wear long sleeves! I have a disfiguring scar on my arm thanks to The Abyss. Also, the Rubicon is not Free. RCCL is becoming very much a pay per adventure line. We are loyal RCCL cruisers, but have decided after our Harmony sailing to start considering other lines. C&A status means pretty much nothing anymore, so why stay loyal?

17 days to go go go! I have a couple questions regarding the Wow Bands as they don't have them on board Rhapsody, which was our first cruise in December. So first, do you get your money back for them on return or do you keep them? And second, if you keep them would you be able to use them on other ships with the technology?
You get to keep them. You don't get your money back, and you can use them on other ships. Definitely worth the $5 bucks though. Here's a tip though, get a permanent marker and put your initials on the inside of it, so you and your fellow travelers can keep straight who's is who's. Enjoy your trip! update: I am reading in other places you can't reuse WOW band on other ships. Getting conflicting info on that one. Still worth it.

I forgot to say.. unfortunately you can't choose your color. It is based on age, suite class and other things. They are great for being on the ship. You don't need to carry around your sail pass everywhere. Just make sure you have your sail pass when leaving the ship. You for sure need it to get back on.

Definitely. It saves you from having to carry your sail pass everywhere on the ship! It's great for at the pools and you keep it as a momento at the end. Just make sure you take your sail pass when leaving the ship. You'll need it to get back on. It's only $5. Less than any drink. tip: use a permanent marker to write your initials on the inside of the band to keep straight who's is who's.

I was on Corona of the Seas… all had the plague. Many were sick.. No country would let us off. Feeling not the greatest…
We are about to commit to a February sailing. Please clarify. If you get sick after you are on the boat are you limited from doing anything?
The ship is too big. We just got back from it and I didn't like that everything was at one end or the other. I was recovering from foot surgery (which was an unexpected event after we booked the cruise) and I struggled with the gargantuan size of the ship and the sheer distance required to walk. The Windjammer was much too big to navigate if you have mobility issues. And I am gluten free and finding gluten free anywhere outside the main dining room was an annoying chore. They always said to just ask, but they do not train their people to know what is gluten free each day so you have to wait while they fetch a chef. The chefs, particularly in Windjammer, say they'll walk the line with you to choose, but the amount of time and energy that takes is disappointing, especially with a mobility issue. And because the ship is HUGE, we had to dock at a different pier in Curacao than the last time I sailed with Royal. I couldn't visit the city because the walk was 10-15 minutes, and there were no shuttles. So that was a disappointment. We did borrow a wheelchair on the last sea day because my pain level was too high. The wheelchairs don't clear the thresholds in some areas. I either had to stand up and walk over while someone moved the chair, or in one instance two staff members had to come help my husband clear the threshold. That is unacceptable. Every public area of the ship should be INDEPENDENTLY wheelchair accessible BY THE USER from a seated position. I will be including all of these things in a survey, and we did make comments about other issues (maintenance and cleanliness in the cabin) but the response was to send a bottle of wine or champagne to the room, and to make an offer of a tiny ship credit (or none at all, or a discount on a future cruise). Anyway ... we've cruised three other times (and this was our second RC cruise). I don't think we're cut out for cruise life, but if we cruise again we will pick a much smaller ship. Most of the onboard activities are bar and karaoke and dancing related, and the noise level was ridiculous. Even if you are in central park for a quiet evening, the announcements and party emcees from the pool deck filter down and ruin the mood. We struggled to find quiet spaces on the ship outside the solarium.
