In 2016 we had six balcony cabins and had a burial at sea ceremony for my Mom per her request. Our family had a service aft on deck 2. 6 officers were in their dress whites and gave their condolences. We put her biodegradable urn and ashes afloat followed by 2 yellow roses since she loved Texas. I have a special place in my heart for this ship

Here is a great tip for an inside cabin. Put the TV on the forward camera channel (it may be the bridge cam) before you go to sleep. When it starts getting daylight outside, you will be able to wake up gradually to the natural light, almost as if you had an oceanview room. 😊

We just cruised the Valor in Nov. (floor 10)Each lamp in our room had a usb plug. This really helped with phone charging. Great video!
We were on the Valor from Jan 28-Feb 02, and we loved it! I know a lot of people love everything updated all the time, but for a lower price cruise I thought it was worth the money. Don't know how you got to $20/day, we are frugal and can't figure that one out. Last min. ticket special? Anyway, I think on these cruises it's the staff and crew that makes a great cruise, not s much the ship itself.
The Valor was my first cruise in 2018. I still love the Valor. Though old, it was s great experience. Also, I now sail only smaller interior cabins. I tried the balcony cabin, spent all this money and only used it twice.
The Valor was a new ship when we sailed her in 2004. It was also are very first cruise. We had a fabulous time because we we were cruising with friends. It’s the people who are with that make the difference. It was a wonderful time.

Just got off that ship as well (said hi to you guys!) and my overall impression is that the whole ship really needs some love. Retro is one thing, but poor upkeep is another. Sadly, with Carnival's financial standing, I don't think it's high on their list of priorities to fix up their old ships. Still a good cruise though! Friends, ocean and sun made up for it!

If that was only $20 a day, that's amazing! My wife couldn't deal with the noise in the hallway - she's a light sleeper, but at that price I'd be tempted to give it a try. Not a bad looking cabin. We always travel with one carry-on size backpack apiece so I think we'e be OK with the space.

Hi ya!! Omg, haven’t seen or been on those cabins for years!! But our first was the Fantasy & jubilee, even older. Back then the TVs in that cabinet were small but had the big backs. I believe that they put in their newer comfy mattresses on all their ships, at least they can change that on the old ones. Did many insides or windows (cheaper after Labor Day or 1st 2 weeks of Dec)before we did casino deals. So spoiled that we go a lot on MG & Celebration now. Great shower door, but remember that they made the bathrooms smaller. Was on Celebration 2 weeks last month, 2nd week was an ultra(so so crowded). On Enchanted princess now till Fri. Then Sat we go back on Harmony. Have fun, Ellyn

We are going on the Valor for the 4th time on March 20th. We love the ships size, and it seems less crowded at times. We always take a non surge protector cord. Need more plugs that they have available. Wish thy would upgrade the TV in all rooms. We always get the spa deck rooms. There are not many rooms up there, and it's quiet normally.

We cruised on the Valor last May but stayed in an ocean suite. I do know the beds are the same throughout the ship, though, and we had no problem storing our large suitcases under the bed. You have to just lift the bed slightly in order to get the suitcase to slide under the lip of the bedframe, but 2 large suitcases definitely did fit. Also, the safe was larger in the OS, as was the TV. There were also USB ports on the bedside lamps in the OS. Not sure why those items are not the same in every cabin.
Good to know the bedside lamps on some of the OS rooms had the USBs!
I like that fact that you have water from the NCL Breakaway in your fridge.

Those water bottles (boxes) look familiar! Did you bring them from the Breakaway or has Carnival gone to those too? We sailed on the Valor in 2017 and had a great time. Thanks for another great video!

I don't mind a cheap inside cabin like this I use the money other areas lol.
Definitely worth having a cheap inside cabin when you can cruise more often and do more!
Just make sure the cords are cruise safe (no surge protectors allowed). ☺️

We cruised on Valor in July. She could use a little love for sure, but we had a good time . And the flooding shower was horrible, especially with three people getting ready.
That shower is a mess!! 😅
I have booked a back to back on the Celebration this fall and with a Casino offer the cabin is free (paid $100.00 each per week but with an equal credit) we just had to pay the port fees, taxes and gratuities.
That’s THE cheapest way to cruise!
I love Carnival, but they really need to update some of the cabins on several ships.

Keep a power strip in your luggage. That way when you check into and older hotel or a stateroom like you had you would have all the outlets you need. They come with USB ports on them now as well.
As long as they are cruise-safe (no surge protectors) it’s a great thing to always pack!

I love the idea of taking the cheapest room on the cheapest cruise to see if you can still have a great time. I wish more cruise tubers would follow your example and try it ... just once . I'd like to know though, did you choose your room or was it a guaranteed interior?
We did choose our room out of a small selection and at the time it was the same price as a guarantee. ☺️
I just booked a 5 day cruise on this old dark ship and I had an interior cabin I paid $1,245 for this cruise it wasn’t cheap I just went last week. I wasn’t impressed especially with the small 📺 and dark areas

I’ll take any cabin just as long as I’m sailing. Why complain about the cabin when you’re out of it 75% of the day.
Definitely a difference for some who like spending more time in their cabin, but that is what balcony cabins are for 😉

We have done a $250.00 per person carnival ship and had a great time. We knew what to expect and wanted to get away for a long weekend... Why not? We were not expecting the Wonder of the Seas, just a get away with our friends.
