Another great video with many interesting ideas. I suppose you find Taiwan familiar and exotic at the same time. Familiar in the sense that you have witnessed how much this island has changed and how much of it remains unchanged, and in the sense that you know very well how to get around and how to survive. Exotic in the sense that you don’t take conventions for granted and in the sense that you can discover something new or thought-provoking at every corner. This duality is embodied in the photos and videos you take. At first glance, they are just random shots and slices of everyday life in Taiwan. But they really capture the essence of this land and the people on this land.
However, I feel this channel is not just a vblog about Taiwan from a Canadian’s point of view. It’s much more than that. It’s about your thoughts and your storytelling through your camera, regardless of the topics presented in each video. I’m not surprised you used to watch late-night comedy shows. You have a wonderful sense of humor. It’s a bit deadpan, but your smile is too heart-warming for deadpan jokes. In contrast to a stand-up comedian who performs on stage to a live audience, you walk around the city talking to your small camera. Maybe you would be a “walk-around” comedian?
But so many comedians are depressed. UA-cam is a much more wholesome career option for your semi-retired life. 😊 I can tell you enjoy what you’ve been doing. Your enthusiasm simply comes through on the screen. If you treat this UA-cam channel as your job, I hope it will be a rewarding job creatively, emotionally, (and financially one day). Thank you again. I look forward to the next video.

This is the best YT video I’ve seen in years.
I’m a Taiwanese who is not from Kaohsiung but has been living here for a decade. Kaohsiung became neat and human in your perspective; it’s so beautiful.
I’m practically a single father, and sadly, my son is about to leave me soon for the USA.
I'm not sure when I can see him again.

    經歷了台灣劇變的時刻,且以西方思維方式去看待,又經過了時間的淬鍊,如今講出的一些看法特別又精闢

s a Taiwanese, I believe it is mainly due to Taiwan's location in the subtropical region, where the weather is often hot and humid, making it easy to sweat. Therefore, hair is generally considered less hygienic compared to countries in colder climates. Additionally, not wearing a swim cap can pose several problems, including hair floating in the pool, hair clogging filtration systems, poorly constructed drainage holes leading to accidents, and difficulties in cleaning hair residues in the pool. Even in Olympic competitions, athletes are required to wear swim caps. I'm glad that your trip to Taiwan was fruitful. Welcome to visit Taiwan again, and hopefully, by then, Taiwan will have become a better and more progressive country.

In Taiwan, the left side of the escalator is reserved for people in a hurry.(It's culture shock😂Kind to people )Dogs have their own body language. They are very smart and understand each other’s thoughts.

No one ever seems to be in a hurry in Kaohsiung.

@@BobsUtopiaIt's just a precautionary measure. Who knows when someone will need to rush?

@@BobsUtopia Well, there’s been far too many incidents of heavy wear and tear of escalator being used on one side.
So Kaohsiungners stand on both sides, as per recommendation.
Commute early, or walk the stairs if one is really “in a hurry”.

Don’t think that after you retire you can do whatever you want, just be illegal but not caught? How can I not get my shoes wet if I often walk by the river?

    絕對同意:男人透過工作來肯定自己,女人透過家庭來肯定自己!
