- Kitchen Waste Compost banane ka thoda different method hai. Usually compost jabh decompose hota hai tabh pot ya compost bin se paani nikalta hai. But jiss tareeke se mein banati hoon, ussmein paani nahi nikalta aur saara paani brown material absorb kar leta hai toh Mera compost bahut hi powerful Banta hai.
Agar aap beginner ho toh thoda start mein ek do baar mushkil ho sakhti hai. Jabh aap iss process ko samaj jaoge tabh aap ka compost bhi bahut hi badiya banega.

Yes, we can. But it takes a little longer time to decompose so the compost will take little more time to get ready.

Matlab ....ki jabh compost ban Raha hai tabh..... Compost bante time oxygen use karta hai ..toh plants lagane se roots ko oxygen ko Kami ho sakhti hai.. but agar app compost ko layer bade pot mein kaafi neeche rakhein , aur upar kaafi garden soil dalein .. aur usein plants lagayein toh teekh hoga. Kyun ki compost Jo ban Raha hoga woh kaafi neeche hoga. I hope I could explain this well😊

Aap aur 15 to 20 days wait kar lena. Compost ko moist rakhna shade mein. Tabh takh agar kooch bhi decompose nahi hua ho toh woh ho jayega. Aur decomposition ke process mein oxygen use hota hai.. toh agar abhi plants mein daaloge toh toh roots ko oxygen nai mil payega toh plants mar bhi sakhte hain. Thank you for explaining so well. Going to try it out. How often should compost be applied to plants - vegetable and flowering plants.
It depends on the weather & temperature. If it's hot, then avoid. If it's too cold, again avoid. Fertiliser during the growing period to get best results. What I do is, I put fertilizer/compost in the potting mix which is good enough for the plant. And again I add compost during August, which is just after monsoon time in my country. Otherwise, I use liquid tonics/fertilizer by using things found in the kitchen. I have a video for this... Adding the link if u wish to have a look. Liquid fertilizer in 15 days . Compost while making potting mix. That's the way I go about it.

Very nice demonstration Hilda. I am composting in a plactic pot in which i have made holes all over and kept a plastic plate underneath. I have collected this water and kept it in a bottle. Can we use this for flowering plants? Next time i will try your method of composting. Thank you for sharing.

You have collected compost water and kept in a bottle so you should dilute it 1st before watering your flowering plants 1:2 (compost water: plain water) Then you can go on to 1:1 Always try on just one plant. See how it goes..then try on rest of the plants.
Try onion peel liquid fertilizer for flowering plants. I give it to my flowering plants and it works well😊

जैसे कंपोस्ट बनने में ऑक्सीजन की जरूरत होती है ऐसे ही नाइट्रोजन की आवश्यकता होती है इसलिए बिना बनी कंपोस्ट मिट्टी में डाल देंगे तो मिट्टी की नाइट्रोजन पौधों को मिलने की बजाय खाद बनने में व्यय हो जायेगी।

नाइट्रोजन मिट्टी मैं गैस के रूप में नही बल्कि नाइट्रेट के रूप मे प्रयोग आती है। नाइट्रेट के लिये या तो फल-सब्जी-जानवर के अवशेष का प्रोटीन बैक्टीरिया द्वारा डिकमपोज किया जाता है या राईजोबियम बैक्टीरिया हवा से नाइट्रोजन ले कर नाइटरेट बनाता है।
आक्सीजन बैक्टिरिया को जीवित रहने के लिए चाहिए।

what is the white liquid you added
The white liquid is Buttermilk. You can even add sour curd, mix it well in water to make a thin liquid. These acts as decomposers and kick start the process to give a faster yet good result.

I have everyday waste so how to manage??
U can do the same steps. That is, layer green and brown matter each day, until the pot or container you are composting in, gets full. Then shift to another container. I have 4 to 5 pots in which I do composting. And by 21 to 25 days, the 1st pot gets ready. I empty that and use it for fresh layering. U can do the same.
