I have two budgies and they will NOT eat fruit or vegetables. Once I placed a grape near my budgie, and it was so freaked out by it. If you don't care for cutting up fresh produce all the time, try Lafeber's nutriberries - classic for budgies. It gives them nearly 100% nutrition with the same consistency of a seed diet but it's perfectly lab balanced to substitute for fruits and veggies. It's one of the best diets you can give pet birds, next to a 70% pellet + fresh fruit and veggy diet but the downside is that it's expensive. But hey at least you dont have to buy fresh produce all the time for them! And it's waaaay healthier than seed diets.

( it works for me every time, maybe it’s because he knows the “target” trick.) -you can also put the bite sized pieces inside their regular food bowls Here are some fruits and veggies that my parakeet loves - Apple -watermelon -pears -spinach -carrots -bean sprouts -lettuce -Melons -mangoes He doesn’t like (although ur parakeets might like it) -strawberries -kiwis -blueberries -bananas -Cherries -corn -oranges (Honestly I feel like he just dislikes sour stuff) For some reason he prefers the hard part of the vegetables(I forgot what it’s called) rather than the leaves.

I think that I'm going to try this with the black billed magpies that sometimes hang around in my backyard! Fruits and vegetables are their most favorite food! I did some research on them! This will probably be my first approach to make a friend with a magpie!

I've let her try some new foods after about 3 weeks, right now she's tried apples, bananas, cucumber, celery, and curly kale. I got my budgie (kiwi) in February. So far everything is going really well and he’s very tame all. The only thing that I’m concerned about if his diet. I buy him expensive food that is full of all the necessary nutrients, but he is really picky when it comes to vegetables. So far I’ve only ever seen him a very small piece of carrot, but even at that I’m unsure if he did because he might have just thrown it out of his cage.
I have had a blind budgie for 5 years and have had trouble getting him to eat any veggies or fruits. I recently got another budgie to keep him company and she doesn’t eat veggies either. Hopefully she gives some to my blind budgie. :) any ideas for feeding the blind one veggies are greatly appreciated ( he is very tame if that helps ideas)

Unfortunally i can't do the veggie trick,because my budgie cage have a transparent cieling. But thats a nice video,i'll be sure to try the other ones :)

ALEN PLEASE MAKE A VID ABOUT WHATS A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR BIRDS! My bird got stuck in tape 18 mins ago, it was my fault for not knowing it was there. I got it out now with water, there was a lot of biting but it was worth saving her.

I rescued a female baby budgie who was attacked by crows
She eats nothing besides seeds, she is scared of everything else
But recently I taught her to step on my finger and climb on my shoulder
