"im not the best singer" shows amazingly good raw vocals 🤣 i love your videos thank you for teaching everything you do!! edit: i just finished the video lmao not everything but i get it haha thank you for showing how to control the dynamics and how to clean the vocals, also this song is definitely stuck in my head
Hey! Im a mixing engineering student, so if you let me give you some advice to improve the sound: If you put the compressor before anything else you wouldnt have to put all the EQ you use after the compression. The compression will tighten the vocal, so the harshness that you removed before will appear again, thats why you need to put 4 deessers in total. I would do three stages: the first one would be to clean the vocal (removing the subs with a filter), then compression if you think is necessary (specially if you are going to apply a lot), and then the EQ or deesser (with one or two for different zones should be enough). Hope this helps!
I'm honestly surprised by your vocal chain! I didn't know nowadays k-pop has been using such a great amount of compression... I mean each compressor almost hit a peak of 5dB gain reduction... Truly impressed ;))
Amazing video papi it's soprising how you compress, eq and clean 2 times to get your vocal chain I have seen maybe double eq or compression but not anything like that
