- Three-dimensional weaving (3D weaving) is a relatively new weaving technology for obtaining in a single technological operation an seamless T-D-reinforcing preform with a given percentage of fibers in the reinforcement systems and with a given volume content of fibers in the preform of the final shape, or approximate geometric shape of the future composite product. Initially, the use of composite materials with a spatial arrangement of reinforcing fibers was limited to the thermal protection of space and aircraft, since it is in the conditions of high-speed non-stationary temperature loading that the greatest danger of stratification of layered structures occurs due to various technological macrodefects. Using the spatially reinforced composite materials for the manufacture of such structures excludes stratification, since the presence of reinforcing fibers in the third direction prevents the spread of micro-cracks that appear in the places of defects.

What's the manufacturing process you have used to make the prepreg?
Did you machined out the prepreg to make it into bolt?
Hey hey! Pre-preg means pre-impregnated. We dont use it. We use technologies of 3d weaving. I changed the cover of this video where you can look the manufacturing process.
