As an Avalanche fan, I see Cale Makar rightfully getting a lot of attention but Dahlin isn’t far behind him. If the Sabres can solidify the forward game a little more, Dahlin will be right there. He’s a beast.
When this kid has more support around him not named Cody Eakin, Anders Bjork, Drake Caggiula, etc he's going to put up huge numbers with those assists.
@@Roacha9 what? dahlins shot snapper could be quicker, his slapper could be more accurate.. if dahlin has a quicker more accurate shot, he could get twice as many goals a season considering his number of grade a chances.
@@tallesttreeintheforest He's still a growing boy, only 22, a couple more years of increasing muscle mass and you will see a quicker shot, and accuracy just gets better with experience.
That 'axe chop pass is slick. He chops it right through in a seemless deflection. Pit of all the hockey I have watched I dont know if Ive ever seen someone use that regularly. That makes me so excited for the future.
Just discovered your highlight videos really awesome stuff, lots of clips that aren’t found anywhere else - hope to see more in the future got a subscribe keep up the great work!
There's talk about Alex Tuch being a future Team Captain for Buffalo, but watching how Dahlin has developed since being drafted, I wouldn't be surprised if he would also be considered for the 'C' before too long.
Dahlin is certainly the most gifted player on this Buffalo team and will be an absolute star in this league, but I think the 'C' doesn't necessarily belong to the best player. Personally I don't think McDavid should be a captain for example, because even though he's by far the best player on the team, I'd say the oilers have other guys who would be better leaders to the team. Tuch to me would seem like a great captain. He seems like a guy a team could really rally behind and who could motivate his teammates. Maybe Dahlin is too, though, I just don't know enough about him.
@@rogerpowers3891 I do not disagree with you, but I think that Dahlin has matured under the guidance of coach Granato, and, like Tuch, is showing leadership potential. Given the youthful make-up of the current roster, either one could be in a position in two to three years to be considered the next Captain. Not a bad problem to have, eh?
hes makar level, give him time. he has no one good on D and most times offensively too. now hes got a better coach and more improved O and D to work with. 75-80+ point player easily soon
People tend to forget how young Dahlin still is, because he's already been in the league for so long. He'll still be only 22 years old for the entire 2022/23 season. He was 21 for the entirety of last season which is the same age a guy like Adam Fox was during his rookie year. There are a lot of very talented young defensemen in the league right now, but personally, the only guys I would want on my team more than Dahlin right now are Makar and McAvoy.
rasmus was rushed into the league (IMO) because the botteril office was eager to make the playoffs during the 2018/19 season. in hindsight, it would be better if dahlin did a Seider and waited. anyways, then defensive first kreuger happened, and dumb covid, etc. this upcomming season for dahlin will be huge. he is in a good place with donato.
I completely agree. The Sabres did a terrible job developing Dahlin. However, he's still only 22 years old and will still be only 22 for the entire 2022/23 season, which is something a lot of people seem to forget, because he's already been in the league for so long. And the talent is obviously still there and behind Makar and McAvoy, Dahlin is third on my list of defensemen I would really want to have on my team.

He’ll be better
Colorado has a lot of top forwards. Dahlin isn't behind him in skill. I prefer Quinn Hughes and Dahlin over him.
Dahlin got more silk than Cale.

he also needs to improve his own shot

Randomly wanted to watch Dahlin highlights today, this was perfect
Man his game took off once Don Granato freed him up and gave him confidence.

Thanks for these! Funny to see shifts where he's out there with Hayden, Bjork, Butcher, and Eakin. Life is so much better next season.

Any chance you can make a Samuelsson defensive/hits highlight video?
That may or may not already be in the plans 😉

Soon to be Generational defenseman sorry Makar

If he gets some finishing luck, huge props around the league will pour in. He is on the cusp.
Dahlin just pulled a jedi mind trick on Weegar. 🤣17:05
Love the videos man, awesome Sabres channel
Really appreciate it! 🙌
Soon he will be too good for this league and need to join McDavid and Makar in the GHL (Galatic Hockey League)
He’s hands and shot remind me of kucherov
I remember when some Sabres fans were calling to get him off the team. Glad they aren't the GM.
