I'm a 43 yr-old mom of three and I have ben searching forever for a make-up tutorial and by far your videos are the most practical, informative and easy to follow. Thank you soo much for sharing your knowledge and expertise. Now I can step up my make-up game for date night with the hubby, everyday for the office OR any occasion. You are a godsend for this Old School Chick - LOVE IT :-) !!!!!
I just found your channel and this is the first video I'm watching and I have never been so excited to find a makeup artist! You are amazing!! You explain so well and really show a beginner like myself how and why things are done. Thanks for that and I'm definitely subscribing :)
So grateful to have come across your videos! I love how clear, concise and straight-forward your videos tend to be. You obviously have a gift for teaching, cause you do one heck of a job with it!
I like this look! I love the natural radiance prep & prime primer by mac. It's a nice consistency and has a yellow beigy tone to it so it blends into all tones of skin flawlessly!
The tarte cream liner will stay fresh for the longest time!!! Trust me!!! I work at a cosmetic store and tested out the time a liner lasts without drying and that one is the best! I have had mine for months and it is good as new!
I'm a late bloomer when it comes to make up (over 40) and your videos have helped me so much. I hope I can get you to do my makeup one day!!! I am so proud of you. God bless.
A way you can revive your dried out gel liner is to spritz the liner with water and then put a drop of glycerin. Let it sit a bit, then mix it up...moist and good as new.
I just want to thank you so much for showing how to achieve the winged eyeliner. It was very detailed and the camera was very close so I could actually "see" what you were doing. Eyeliner is my signature look, so when I found out how to do it, I went and grabbed my liner and achieved the look. I'm so happy and I thank you once again. :)
Absolutely one of my fave tutorials on how to achieve a quick and easy everyday look. Note: I love rocking a red and/or dark lip just because. Even if I'm just hitting the grocery store. #BeautyTalk #BagLadiesLIVE #Beauty #BeautyJunkie #Makeup #makeupartist #makeuptips #makeuptutorial
Hourglass Mineral Veil! I have very oily, acne-prone skin, and this stuff is the ONLY thing that I have found which works to actually prolong the longevity of my makeup!
I love watching you do makeup. I've been a subbie for months but you explain things everytime for new people so I pick up things I may have missed before. Like I got the Black Opal stick because of you and wasn't impressed w/ the "full coverage". After watching this video, I realized I was using too little! Thanks and keep up the great work
Fave Primers for (Extremely Oily Skin)- Tarte Clean Slate Poreless Primer. My bestfriend has dry skin and swears by this stuff as well. The texture is amazing and I never have to blot throughout the day!!
U can use the milk of magnesia as a face primer along with the black opal since its oily. It does help! That's the one a lot of ppl go for including myself
I use a Mary Kay primer and I love it. Over the years I've used Mac and drug store primer and nothing worked. Simone introduced me to the Mary Kay primer and it works great.
And this look is most definitely an everyday look for myself as well :) Love your videos, you're so informative, even though I know most of the tricks of the trade (but I'm always learning new ones, we're all students!) you never fail to keep me engaged!
My signature look is just about the same. Almost cant live without winged liner and a bold lip! I switch between bold red, bold purple, or bold coral/orange the most : )
I love the fact that even though she is a well known public figure, she's very humble and doesn't think she's too good for drugstore makeup products. This makeup tutorial and the results show that some are just as good if not better than high end products.
I absolutely love this! This is basically my everyday look. Except i throw a dark brown in my crease to add some dimension and the lip color i use is Ruby Kisses in the color Wine. I was wondering if you could do a soft and sultry valentines day look. I really need an idea for my date night.lol
One of the best foundation primers I've ever used (over 10 years of being a makeup artist) is Lancôme's La Base Pro. You only need ONE pump. You skin will feel like velvet and your foundation will go on like a dream. I won't put on foundation without it. Give it a shot.
I like this look because it can easily take you from day to night. Because of you I started to use Black Opal. I'm in the next shade after yours: truly Topaz, which is NC45 in MAC. I have the stick foundation as well but it's too oily for me since I already have oily skin. This will be my winter foundation. Thank you for mentioning this brand. I am in Love!
The only primer I've found that works with Black Opal is Milk of magnesia...and this is in Barbados where it's always hot and/humid, trust, it works lol
I really love Hard Candy's face perfecting primer, but being a moist person I always used Secret sheer deodorant first and let it set for about 5 minutes before putting on the primer. The deodorant helps protect my makeup from sweat and keeps it from getting oily while the primer helps fill in all those nasty wrinkles and pores.
I love this look.I do deep pink, burgundy, and shades of red lipsticks along with lighter colors for everyday look..I have many primers but the best one for my skin is benefit's Porefessional.
I love it! A very simple and uncomplicated look that is stunning. I really enjoy your makeup tutorials they're inspiring and make me want to practice more to perfect my appliaction technique and results. Thanks for sharing! Blessings.
ur awesome, a great primer is revlon photoready primer, i swear by it, i will not put on makeup without. it helps control oil, keeps makeup on long and prevents makeup from clogging pores and causing breakouts
What a great idea to do a different color on the top and bottom lips! My top lip is MUCH smaller, do you think putting the lighter color on the top lip and the darker color on the bottom would balance them out a bit more? Thank you so much for all your hard work and fantastic tutorials!
I love how you can achieve great looks with drugstore makeup! Shows that price isn't everything! Also how do you coat your bottom lashes? I always end up with a mess!
You can get it from any place, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, Dollar store. It's a medicine, but it can be used as a face primer to control oil in your skin. It really works. It cost like 5 dollars for a small one. Just ask someone in the pharmacy for "Milk of Magnesia." Apply it before anything else with a sponge or brush, everywhere on your face (or wherever it gets oily) then let it dry. From there add foundation and etc.
omg you're so beautiful with and without make up! im browsing YT looking for makeup ideas for my 24th bday and i find you and im soo amazed at your talent. I'm like man I need her to come to Atlanta to do my makeup!! lol Subscribed!!
Is there any way you can do a video on the science behind eyeshadow, like letting us know how to choose color placement? Makeup artists always seems to just know where to put what color, and it would be helpful for those of us that don't for the instance of if we have a palette and you haven't done a review/tutorial on it, we would have an idea of where to put what!! Please and thank you xoxo
Great video! As far as primers go, I've only used three - one by Loreal, Elf and Mirabella Prime. So far the only one where I have seen a noticeable difference is Loreal's Magic Perfecting Base. It's a little creamy and has a slight pink tinge to it. I can actually tell the difference before I put on foundation (prob because of the pinkish hue), but my foundation really does look much smoother on.
i just knew you had on bottom falsies...i wish i could get mines to look like that....love this look..You are awesome and beautiful as always Ms.Ward!!!
simple yet gorgeous love it! I just recently tried the WNW gel liner and I'm really feelin it, even more than some others I've tried. I think it's going to be my new go-to from now on.
Revlon PhotoReady foundation primer is really good!!!! I.notice a difference when I use it vs. when I don't. Helps with my oily skin...helps my foundation go on effortlessly and looks flawless! Try it and tell me what u think!!!!!
tip - u can revive that dried out wet n wild gel eyeliner with primer. just put a little drop in, swirl the gel around with a plastic wand, etc. and Wha'La! so, don't throw it out!!! great makeup, as always hun!
Just use orange cream eyeshadow or color corrector wheel use the orange color then cover it with your regular foundation or your own concealer over it... Hope this helps....
L'oreal's Magic Perfecting Base. I don't use it as an all over primer, but to cover laugh lines and smooth over more minor scarring it is....uh-the bomb. And it's only about ten bucks for a pot. Do you pull lids taut for more mature eyes, that maybe have a little crepe going on?
A classic red lip is stunning on you! Thanks for this tutorial. It's so hard for me to get winged liner right. I will give your method a try when I pick up some more cream liner (of course, mine dried out LOL). I did a similar look (minus lashes) when Hubby was impatiently waiting for me to get ready to go out over the Holidays, and I really liked it!
I Love her eyes. The finish look is very flawless. I love how informative she is. Her parents must be Lovely together because she's a beautiful woman. Keep up the good work on setting new trends because I use to be ensecure about my age made fron gap, but now I wear it. She does also but in a very postivebway. I will be subscribing and looking through videos ...Thank You for your dedication and hard work....
beautiful look! i just found you today...i've been missing out! i love that you use cream makeup products..because thats all i will use. i cant stand liquid foundation/concealer! most gurus do tutorials using liquids, so im definitely excited that i have found someone that uses cream. and personality wise, you're so sweet. SUBBED!
LOVE this vid! Thanks for the tips ESP the tip about adding concealer to the top lip (mustache) area!! I'm puertorican & def have that problem of a dark area on top of my lip!
I've started using milk of magnesia too and so far I love it. the real test will be how it holds up in the summer. I do have an issue thought. I have a deep line across my forehead and laugh lines so my makeup creases. I'm *ctually considering botox for it but don't necessarily want to go that route. any suggestions
This may seem like I a silly question but I figured I don't ask then I'll never know. If I already have thick eyebrows, would I need to color them/define them if I use foundation on my face? I don't use face make-up (just shadow and lipstick) but wanted to try some.
gah. I'm pleased the Black Opal foundation stick works for you - they have great products! I feel like no foundation colors from Black Opal work for me. I've tried 4 colors...one I gave to my mom but the others are just sitting in my "extras" drawer
Tatiana, advice needed (I'll probably send this same msg to your IG as well). If I am NC45 or NC 44 in MAC foundation, which color concealer do you recommend if I am trying to obtain the same thing you did (concealer on darker spots)? I look forward to hearing from you.
Your everyday look is just like mine except the eyelashes & I switch my lip colors up everyday although I use WnW brand. In fact, I have those same colors you used - Cherry Bomb & Red Velvet. I don't mix my lip colors together but I am going to try what you did.
I love GOSH velvet touch primer, I don't know if it's available in the USA but in the uk they sell it it Superdrugs and it is really good, makes skin even and silky. I also love benefit that gal primer.
Love it! This is my everyday look as well. I have seen the banana powder before and was going to purchase it bc I like the way it looks on but I've been have a lot of issues with my face (allergic reactions) to a lot the foundations I've Ben trying and finally found one that works. Do would you recommend the powder to sedative skin?
I find that Neutrogena Shine Control in combo with a mattifying or oil-free lotion and mattifying or oil-free foundation really helps to control my oily skin making it look smoother and my makeup last longer. That's the only face primer I feel actually gives good results:))
I'm a 43 yr-old mom of three and I have ben searching forever for a make-up tutorial and by far your videos are the most practical, informative and easy to follow. i absolutely love that her everyday look wasn't something so natural and simple. she stands out. i love it.
"But that's why it's my everday look and not yours!" LOL loved that!
I just found your channel and this is the first video I'm watching and I have never been so excited to find a makeup artist! You are amazing!! You explain so well and really show a beginner like myself how and why things are done. Thanks for that and I'm definitely subscribing :)

I LOVE your voice totally made for TV

vids from Tatiana Ward completely brighten my whole frickn day.
What an amazing breakdown! I love how you don't just show us but explain why you do it. This everyday look is beautiful!
I think it was seeing one of your pics on IG that inspired me to do a bold redish lip on a simple face for the summer. it definitely makes a statement

I swear your makeup GIVES ME LIFE!!!!! Your face is WORKED boo!
U can use the milk of magnesia as a face primer along with the black opal since its oily. It does help! That's the one a lot of ppl go for including myself
I looooove Mary Kay's foundation primer & finishing spray (two separate products) makeup lasts ALL day!
I use a Mary Kay primer and I love it. Over the years I've used Mac and drug store primer and nothing worked. Simone introduced me to the Mary Kay primer and it works great.
I love how thorough you are!! So helpful thanks I have a new routine I'll just switch out the lip each time
And this look is most definitely an everyday look for myself as well :) Love your videos, you're so informative, even though I know most of the tricks of the trade (but I'm always learning new ones, we're all students!) you never fail to keep me engaged!
Wow! Great tutorial. I especially love the idea of placing two different shades in the lips and blending them.💄👏
My signature look is just about the same. Almost cant live without winged liner and a bold lip! I switch between bold red, bold purple, or bold coral/orange the most : )
Thanx for turning me on to Black Opal! I've always had an issue finding the right color foundation (either too lite or too dark)
I love the fact that even though she is a well known public figure, she's very humble and doesn't think she's too good for drugstore makeup products. This makeup tutorial and the results show that some are just as good if not better than high end products.
I HAVE GREEK IN ME AND YOU ARE SOOO RIGHT ABOUT THAT DARK SHADE ON THE UPPER LIP....IM GLAD YOU SAID IT!!!
I already own both of those lipsticks, but never thought of using them together. Beautiful look. I'll try this tomorrow.
I absolutely love this! This is basically my everyday look. Except i throw a dark brown in my crease to add some dimension and the lip color i use is Ruby Kisses in the color Wine. I was wondering if you could do a soft and sultry valentines day look. I really need an idea for my date night.lol

I recently discovered the Tarte BB cream and have to say it is really nice as a all in one everyday wear.
I love wearing the winged liner & a dark lip also as my every day! You look great!!

Done brows, lashes and a dark / bold lip will take one to the ends of the earth! I love this look. IMO it Never gets old. Ne-va
Mally Beauty Poreless primer is the best primer I've ever used. It's EXTREMELY good for oily skin.
I wear this look everyday a simple face and some variation of a blood lip! Love it
The VS "Make It Last - Prime & Set Spray" works really well as a primer
I love how you can achieve great looks with drugstore makeup! Shows that price isn't everything! Also how do you coat your bottom lashes? I always end up with a mess!
Best Face Primer is Too Faced Primed and Porcalin. Has a flawless finish

I use Phillips milk of magnesia. I have super oily skin. It keeps the oil away. Make up stays put all day all night and a $3 bottle lasts for months.
Also, that's my everyday/signature look as well. Gotta love a simple eye and bold lips.
i love that you mix drugstore and high end products!!!!
I love the fact that your an artist and use affordable makeup!
Great video! As far as primers go, I've only used three - one by Loreal, Elf and Mirabella Prime. So far the only one where I have seen a noticeable difference is Loreal's Magic Perfecting Base. Try milk of magnesia as a face primer....its a lil messy but it really works....I have very oily skin n it keeps my makeup on all day n nighy
Revlon PhotoReady foundation primer is really good!!!! I.notice a difference when I use it vs. when I don't. Helps with my oily skin...helps my foundation go on effortlessly and looks flawless! Try it and tell me what u think!!!!!

BEAUTIFUL for every day just BEAUTIFUL.
Best primer I would say is the Napoleon Perdis Auto pilot primer..!! Does wonders for me.
I "like" your videos b4 it starts cause I know your gonna bring it!! you always do!!
This may seem like I a silly question but I figured I don't ask then I'll never know.
If I already have thick eyebrows, would I need to color them/define them if I use foundation on my face? I don't use face make-up (just shadow and lipstick) but wanted to try some.

that custom lip color is gorgeous!
gah. I'm pleased the Black Opal foundation stick works for you - they have great products! I feel like no foundation colors from Black Opal work for me. I've tried 4 colors...one I gave to my mom but the others are just sitting in my "extras" drawer
I truly do like you. Your present for the regular who just tryin to make it work.
You need to try Philosophy's primer: The Present. AWESOME!!! My makeup stays put ALL day and I live in Tx where its humid and hot all the time.
Tatiana, advice needed (I'll probably send this same msg to your IG as well). If I am NC45 or NC 44 in MAC foundation, which color concealer do you recommend if I am trying to obtain the same thing you did (concealer on darker spots)? I look forward to hearing from you.
Signature look is representing who you are!
You look awesome!
Your everyday look is just like mine except the eyelashes & I switch my lip colors up everyday although I use WnW brand. In fact, I have those same colors you used - Cherry Bomb & Red Velvet. I don't mix my lip colors together but I am going to try what you did.
THERE IS NOT A SINGLE EXPRESSION LINE ON YOUR FACE!! YOU HAVE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CANVAS TO WORK ON!! love ur videos
I love GOSH velvet touch primer, I don't know if it's available in the USA but in the uk they sell it it Superdrugs and it is really good, makes skin even and silky. I also love benefit that gal primer.
I love the lipstick mix! I will add this combination to my routine. Thanks a million for sharing.
I love the little voice you make when you're putting on the lashes. Subscribed for that alone, haha!
