I’m French Canadian, something I find interesting is the word choice between English and French. They communicate different things. In English the word “Love” is used but in French the word used is « raffole » despite the fact that the French word that would translate directly would be « j’aime ». « Raffole » means to like something in a way that makes you crave it… but in a pleasurable way, something you can’t get enough of, something that is almost climactic. It means something different than love and if definitely gives the wolf a much more sinister, evil vibe in French. It’s something the English vocabulary can’t capture. I don't think it sounds bad, they did a good job in my opinion. Not necessarely you need a low voice to get the same result, he does sound terrifying just like that. I believe this is one of his best voice lines, he almost growls like a wolf. He sure doesn't sound calm and collected like in English, but you can tell he's mad at Puss for the reasons you'll get to know in the movie.
because a low voice, don't makes automatically a good villain. and this is only a clip of the film, so you can't judge all a dub, only by this. and also the sound is important, all the language have different pronunciation, so if I am not used to hear french, I can say "yes good, but still prefer mine" for example.

Doesn’t sound very creepy until the last word (2:51) Polish: 7/10, Delivered in a normal yet menacing way like the original, pretty good (3:09) Ukrainian: 4/10, it just doesn’t impact very hard to me, sounds very quiet (3:27) Persian: 6/10, It feels like they’re trying a bit too hard to sound menacing, not bad though
I'm Hungarian and honestly, that was terrible. They also chose the wrong voice actor. I would've preferred someone with a deeper man voice for Death. The English version is still the best.

in this video, thats the version of french from Quebec, it's really good but i gotta admit the french from France voice actor killed it, sooooo damn good, got goosebumps at the cinema !
Yeah but the pure French version is worse than the one from Qebec. Some spanish lines were translated and some lines had this childish tone, making Perito very annoying.
0:18 And here is another example of why in America it is still thought that Spain is within Mexico
I’m American but Spanish has the best one in my opinion. “Como me gusta el olor del Miedo!” That sounds really terrifying compared to the english one

I still don't understand why they chose such a light voice in the Italian dub
Because there was someone cooking pasta
Yeah, I agree with you. The voice actor is Andrea Mete (Chris Pratt in Jurassic World) although he did a good job, hisvoice was too light

Rating how each one sounds imo cuz I feel like it
(0:09) English: 10/10, can’t beat the original
(0:27) Spanish: 9/10, gives off a similar tone and creepiness, love it
(0:45) Italian: 8/10, does pretty good but the last word doesn’t impact as much
(1:03) German: 6/10, not necessarily their fault for this but it just sounds a bit weird in German. Voice is kinda creepy though
(1:21) Russian: 5/10, it just doesn’t sound very menacing to me, still comes off alright though
(1:39) Portuguese (Brazilian:) 8/10, super creepy voice, rlly like the impact on the last word as well
(1:57) Franch: 10/10 I might’ve lied when I said nothing beats the original, cuz holy crap their voice is scary as hell
(2:15) Hindi: 6/10, apart from the last word (cuz that sounded awesome) other words don’t impact that hard, but damn deaths original inhale and Hindis exhale sound like the same person
(2:33) Hungarian: 5/10, idk they just sound a tiny bit too enthusiastic for someone saying they love the smell of fear. Doesn’t sound very creepy until the last word
(2:51) Polish: 7/10, Delivered in a normal yet menacing way like the original, pretty good
(3:09) Ukrainian: 4/10, it just doesn’t impact very hard to me, sounds very quiet
(3:27) Persian: 6/10, It feels like they’re trying a bit too hard to sound menacing, not bad though
I'm Hungarian and honestly, that was terrible. They also chose the wrong voice actor. I would've preferred someone with a deeper man voice for Death. The English version is still the best.
Russia have got a many translations. We have a really amazing version.
In once version, Death saying "Как же я люблю этот запах смерти", but in version in this video, he saying "Я ОБОЖАЮ запах смерти"
It's a bad translation of original
