"Why would you grind this line?" Because I was grinding 121, was at tier 8, and when I came back from a break the tech tree had changed and that was my only tech tree.
At release WZ-132-1 was strongest T10 light tank. It took a long while before WG buff ALL the other T10 lights. It went from first to last and has been there ever since.
The WZ-131 take was way off. It is the best tier 7 tech tree light tanks in the game, according to tomato gg statistics. It should be played as a fast medium with Stab, rammer and optics. You can set it up with a scout build after you get the secondary load out for those good match ups. Even Skill4ltu gives it a 5 out of 5.
But this is the entire point of this video, it's about grinding it. Not about choosing 2 setups. If you chose to play it like a medium, and then you are the only scout on your team, you are a massive detriment to your team.
@@MaxGamingFPS If I was grinding the WZ-131 I would run a medium set up and exclude maps like Prokhorovka and Malionovka. Also since it is a tier 7 light, you will be seeing a lot of tier 8's and 9's with CVS. There is no point in trying to scout in those match ups. It is better to play as fast medium. At least you can contribute something to the team rather than being spotted and obliterated by and even 90 while trying to get to a scouting location. Besides the fast medium play style is a lot of fun. Trolling slow mediums and heavies never gets old.
The LTG is unironically the best light for raw scouting at tier 7. I kind of liked the Wz-131 line back when the tier VI had the autoloader, and then they removed it. WG really lost the plot when they decided to make scouting the main focus of all lights, many of them simply lack the camo to do it properly, and those that are in that situation are usually marred with poor firepower as well so they can't really play as a 'backup medium'. The only exceptions that come to mind are premiums. The Czech lights make a similar mistake to the Chinese light tank line, poor camo, middling mobility, and inconsistent firepower. The difference is the Czech lights are even easier to pen with HE.
I'm on the 132A now. It's a really good light tank but its meant for positioning based combat like the others. Yes it has "bad" accuracy but it has a very high impulse stat on the gun. You can be driving full speed and nail direct hits at 300 meters, I do it all the time. It's not a very good scout, but really it's just a lighter medium tank, so you can run with your mediums and play nuisance to help them win engagements.
I guess I'm in the minority here but i actually enjoyed grinding this line. It's all about play style I guess. I prefer to use the Chinese lights as kind of a hybrid "light medium" style. Meaning, not as a pure passive scout, but to counter the enemy scouts. These are great enemy light tank killers. And can fight as mediums. Also they are very good at ramming other lights or artillery.
I agree. I've grinded up to the tier 8. I've managed like a 59% WR in the tier 8. You gotta play the tank very flexible. I can't play like a full scout or medium.
I did grind it, since it is TOT and I want all tier 10s in the game. But I hated the grind with all my heart. Once I purchased the tier 10, i didnt touch the tank lol
They should really just turn this line into a dedicated lt killer, give them extra turret and frontal armour and buff the DPM to counter the shit gun handling and they would be okay at bullying
Without even watching the video, I can confidentaly say yes, you should grind it. This was my first light tank tree, but now I jave unlocked all lights. This is the most fun for me..great combat capabilities and some armor too. With purple equipment you can get close to a spotting level of a Manticore
Man the old 59-26 with the autoloader was fun! Imo they should have the light tank passives from blitz, if I remember right chinese lights had the passive to be unspotted faster.
These tanks would be pretty interesting if they had some usable armor and higher alpha. The bad dpm and shittyness of the tanks makes a flat apha buff possible, 280 on t7, 320 on t8, 390 on t9 and 420-440 on t10 could be pretty cool Idk why would anyone play discount medium tanks that take a slot of a light, but anything is better than what we have now
59-16 is fine just unlock the equipment field mod and have 2 setups, one with binocs for the occasional Prokhorovka and the other normal one. Or maybe a standard scouting build and a rammer, vents, whatever build for Himmel and Ensk...
Superb review. Amazing facts of these tanks presented! Is low noise exaust a very important thing to have for a scout tank? I usually go vents, optics, turbo.
I find the decent. They are a light medium mix. But on a fully open map against an ELC or Manticore... well I think these tanks are the problem, not the other 30 lights.
40% camo on a light tank is pretty good though? With 42% sitting in a bush you need to be proxyspotted to get spotted in general, going much higher than that will only take away other points of attention, in this lines case the gun.
Man i really wish this tank line was good. The look of the T10 and the sound of the gun firing is so good, but it's just SO MID!!! Same with the concept 5...
WG will buff it and make borderline OP or OP. Then they keep it like that until many grind it, then nerf. This was done for too many tier 10 tanks, so wouldn't be a surprise.

Yes! I unlocked it and have a 70% win rate. It's my first tier 10 light. Yeah the camo isn't the best out of the tier 10s but it has decent top speed and power to weight. The shell velocity on the standard rounds are good. It also has semi-trollish armor, I've played 50 games or so and have bounced some ridiculous shots. I've bounced gold rounds from tier 10 TDs and surprisingly the caged armor on the turret has saved me from FV4005 HESH.
Tbh at the start of the ghost town game in the t10 you should have been farming. Your team wasnt threre to do it for u. It would have also had the additional affect of making them heistsnt. Allowing maybe more tanks to rotate over and pay attention to the cross the wz did. Generally that game you were too afraid to shoot, noticed it at 25:01 aswell. Free shot on a k91 potentially a track and damage shot as he pulled back and you let him go unpunished. The all in situation on that same k91 was pretty funny. Tbh you bleed too much for that. The set up could have been better. Could have set up for it better, reversing into him would have allowed a fast escape away instead of having to drive around him. Reversing also allows you to take time to set up better maybe hug the redline more for better use of your gun depression
Tbh i'd recommend AMX 13 105 because its sneaky enough and can deal damage when you have bad maps or matchups. It also has a tier 8 which branches onto the newly buffed Bat Chat so you have a nice added benefit of grinding that line. A light tank should be able to spot and deal damage in case you have a bad matchup. Other LT suggestions are Rhm and T-100 LT because they can spot very well and still deal damage when the map is bad.
Me having PTSD try to 3 mark the WZ-131 with by getting constantly set on fire (After a frustrating match maker against tier 8, getting a lot of city maps after spending 5 hours not once got a Malinvoka and Prokorovka maps): *Sniffs* I don't want to talk about that experience ....
Madness is that i got less spotted with concept 5 then with wz. Im using pink spot eq on both tanks and in wz it feels like total pain. Im not safe in any bush. I bought it back only bcs im hearing whispers and hope it will get buff... 2 years since WG announcement? X feckin D.
While the Type T-34 can use the same gun as the KV-1 (57mm), it doesn't have the armor the KV has. But, now that tiers 4 and 5 can make Battle Pass points that makes it even more attractive. But, as far as talking about the fighting attributes of light tanks, that point is kind of moot. Most light tanks are supposed to be scouts, not brawlers! You don't WANT to be engaging with other tanks! Unless you're in a wheeled clown car, your best games come when you never fire a shot and remain hidden the whole battle! And if you do have to shoot you should shoot only premium rounds, because cost isn't a factor when you only fire 3 or 4 shots per battle!
Video should basically be : Should you grind the WZ 132-1 line in world of tanks. You appear and say : No, have a good day. In all honesty, for all the sacrifices you make, you should get a good gun and a good turret, with good view range. At least it will have some sort of role...
I don't understand how these things haven't been buffed, I like the idea of a damage dealing light tank, but when the manticore and EBR exist with 390 alpha the tier 10 really is pointless, I hope when they buff them the tier 10 gets 440 alpha and then the rest of the line gets more alpha as well, not what it needs really but it is an easy not gamebreaking in my opinion buff
China tier 10 needs to have its turret space armor to negate all gold ammo... Maybe its alpha be boosted to 650 alpha ap.. And HE be 750 alpha.. And return the fun factor to the tier 6 and 3%+ to camouflage value..
Extremely bad take. WZ-131 is almost overpowered. 2nd best tier 7 light tank behind Type 62. Easily 9/10. WZ-132 is also an excellent tank. IMO its only downside is best gun losing like 20 gold pen for no reason.
Chinese light tanks... are not designed to be light tanks in a traditional way. They are the mix of medium and light tank gameplays where based on situation you need to decide whether to rush and kill somebody sacrificing some of your hp, try to do some scouting or simply helping your teammates by shooting enemies on the other flank. With kind of lackluster view range you gotta be creative with your playstyle to actually enjoy those tanks and be efficient. HOWEVER, wg just made a terrible job at balancing those tanks. Tier 6 and 7 are decent though, but as you get higher you really start to notice the problems. Tier 8, I would have given it a little bit better camo, so it won't suffer that much from being outspotted. 380 view range should be untouched in exchange for better TURRET that could bounce off some shells (at least 180mm of armor in the front) AND an increased alpha of 280 (instead of 250). This would really give a hint for players to be more aggressive with WZ-132 and bully other lights (btw, I love those 320 damage HE). Tier 9... For some reason, they gave it much worse stabilization than the tier 8, not to mention 0.42 accuracy. Again, same idea - a little bit better camo, same 390 view range in exchange with a better turret armor ( 200mm would make sense), improved base stabilization, DPM (it should be at least 2200-2400 in stock) and accuracy (320 alpha with even 0.4 accuracy would be fine). WZ-131-1 as a culmination of the whole line would resemble the similar style: A counter-light tank with good stabilization, good DPM and a solid turret armor to be able to challenge mediums. Those are my proposals. Currently I have tier 9. Bough it recently and now I only need to research the engine. I really think that both tier 8 and tier 9 tanks should be buffed in some way to improve their firepower as it is something that they should boast to be able to be half-medium, half-light tank. (not by adding 4 extra shells). Oh, and extra hp would be appreciated as well. Hope they will buff chinese lights.

medium shouldn't get cvs until tier 10. sucks meeting a tier 8 medium that just outspots you every time because they have access to cvs and you dont at tier 7.
Type T-34 definitely is not the best tank in the line. I myself consider WZ-131 as the best from the line. Sure, you are not a typical LT, you are more like a paper medium with nice camo (and quite nice gun, although it can be derpy), but you still can scout (especially when not meeting T8 and T9s with CVSs)
If you use them as light ofc they bad, there are many prem light like elc what outclass them in spot. These tnaks are armoreless meds like borat just without autoloader. I really enjoyed these tank but only use them as lights when you remain the last light in the battle. The gun trollish yeah but still feel way better than boraat's. And actually with the tier 10 many time i could bounce shots with the turret and lot of people doesnt know about this fact, and they were suprised. Try use them as leo 1 with worse gun and they become much more useable, not OP but usable
I actually like the WZ-131. but i use it more like a medium. its dpm is shite but you can still use it cause 200 alpha isn't horrible. i dunno i just enjoy it for some reason
59-16 is one of my three most fav tanks of all time. I love it with all my heart. Get that and ignore the rest of the line. 0,35 accuracy is good for tier 6, and dpm 2178. 450 view range, 37% camo with this kind of mobility (26.5 hp per tonne) and 62 kph. I have no idea what are you complaining about.
These are outdated, they used to have biggest alpha... The point about tier 8 premium mediums being better scouts not necessarily tells how bad those lights are, but how absurdly broken some premiums are. Why some people play this tank? Some people like to feel pain...
when this tank line was fun when the lights had the auto loader like the 59-16. but wg took the fun out of this tank 5 years ago, just like the bull dog when it had the auto loaders, but the developers are 2 dumb to make this game good,
You dont play those as lights in 80% of games, you play them as suport tanks in medium range like mediums. The guns are not very accurate at long distance but in medium ,and shots range they are ish. Oc course plying like this will drop your winrate but at least you can do dmg wiuth them. Actually theya re one of the best dmg dealiers in light categoy cuz they have better alpha and penetration than other lights in general, and also a little bit more armour ( especially the t 10 which have a medium tank turret). If wg would buff the dpm and maybe gunheandeling they would be decent mediums which ocasionally can spot just like a borasque or a bc medium...
I have 300 tanks in garage. Wz132 line is horrible, English gsor wheeled whole line is horrible, type 71 is horrible, pz 7 is horrible, type 5 is horrible, amx 30 is horrible
Bru you didn't have to do my beloved 131 like that ;__; I literally grinded through it with no issues at all by just being more of a mobile medium instead of trying to scout and it wasn't rare for me to have 2.5k dmg+ games Yeah sure I'm not spotting, but with the general way WG treats LTs I don't care about passive bush spotting unless the map straight out demands it
If your going to play this game, be rich and buy the D thing. Grinding will frustrate you to no end and you will quit. So to me the best thing to do is not even start this D game.

obj 430U has better stationary camo, than t9 russian light and better than any chinese lights..... but t9 russian light is a good tank, but chinese lights....
There is no such thing as max view range. There is a maximum spotting range which is 445m. View range past this starts to devalue the camo rating of the enemy vehicle.
I just yeaterday decided to grind this line because i finally need a LT for all the mission and then this video droped haha To answer why anybody would wanna play/grind this line for me there is 1 reaspn and 1 reason only: alle the other LTs look like shit big time. French, british and soviet line all really ugly mfs. US line looks like a toy, german line the same apart from t10 but t10 tank is also shitty. Czech LTs are really clunky with some fireworl guns, ill pass and all the rest has no LTs. Chinese LTs look at least like tanks and not like a hot wheel or a lego abomination. The outspotting part is what sucks the most. It feels like this is the only class where you get absolutely nowhere if you dont play meta or close to meta
why complain if your a top player your stats will always be great as wg protects your arse with easy mm against below average enemy teams lol now if you had full super unicum mm which u should have then maybe you could moan

Problem is the Russian lights fill that role but better. Even if you want alpha the manticore does that too

...all suffer from "no camo". Yeah, apart from the fact that the 59-16 has the second-best camo of all the light tanks on tier VI.

Somehow, SOMEHOW, both WZ-132-1 and T-100 LT has the same gun dispersion, but T-100 feel really more accurate a lot.
my guess to why people might try and grind to the tier 10 is the "armour", its the light tank with highest turret armour stats...on paper..

Just think of it as a fast tier 9 med. Chinese tech tree are all kinda hybrid (TD not included).

Decent until Tier VIII as far as I am concerned. Tier IX and X are abysmal, though. They simply cannot fill the light tank role effectively.

Currently field mod the 132-1, refuse to use free XP. It is taking forever.
I dunno I kinda like the wz-131 at tier 7. It's my 2nd favorite tier 7 tech tree light behind the amx 13 75.

I don't understand how these things haven't been buffed, I like the idea of a damage dealing light tank, but when the manticore and EBR exist with 390 alpha the tier 10 really is pointless, I hope when they buff them the tier 10 gets 440 alpha and then the rest of the line gets more alpha as well, not what it needs really but it is an easy not gamebreaking in my opinion buff

China tier 10 needs to have its turret space armor to negate all gold ammo... Maybe its alpha be boosted to 650 alpha ap.. And HE be 750 alpha..
And return the fun factor to the tier 6 and 3%+ to camouflage value..
Cvs needs to be active starting at tier 5 (light tanks only) tbh

Extremely bad take. WZ-131 is almost overpowered. 2nd best tier 7 light tank behind Type 62. Easily 9/10.
WZ-132 is also an excellent tank. IMO its only downside is best gun losing like 20 gold pen for no reason.
Chinese light tanks... are not designed to be light tanks in a traditional way. They are the mix of medium and light tank gameplays where based on situation you need to decide whether to rush and kill somebody sacrificing some of your hp, try to do some scouting or simply helping your teammates by shooting enemies on the other flank. With kind of lackluster view range you gotta be creative with your playstyle to actually enjoy those tanks and be efficient. HOWEVER, wg just made a terrible job at balancing those tanks. Tier 6 and 7 are decent though, but as you get higher you really start to notice the problems.
Tier 8, I would have given it a little bit better camo, so it won't suffer that much from being outspotted. 380 view range should be untouched in exchange for better TURRET that could bounce off some shells (at least 180mm of armor in the front) AND an increased alpha of 280 (instead of 250). This would really give a hint for players to be more aggressive with WZ-132 and bully other lights (btw, I love those 320 damage HE).
Tier 9... For some reason, they gave it much worse stabilization than the tier 8, not to mention 0.42 accuracy. Again, same idea - a little bit better camo, same 390 view range in exchange with a better turret armor ( 200mm would make sense), improved base stabilization, DPM (it should be at least 2200-2400 in stock) and accuracy (320 alpha with even 0.4 accuracy would be fine).
WZ-131-1 as a culmination of the whole line would resemble the similar style: A counter-light tank with good stabilization, good DPM and a solid turret armor to be able to challenge mediums. Those are my proposals.
Currently I have tier 9. Bough it recently and now I only need to research the engine. I really think that both tier 8 and tier 9 tanks should be buffed in some way to improve their firepower as it is something that they should boast to be able to be half-medium, half-light tank. (not by adding 4 extra shells). Oh, and extra hp would be appreciated as well. Hope they will buff chinese lights.

sucks meeting a tier 8 medium that just outspots you every time because they have access to cvs and you dont at tier 7.
Type T-34 definitely is not the best tank in the line. I myself consider WZ-131 as the best from the line. Sure, you are not a typical LT, you are more like a paper medium with nice camo (and quite nice gun, although it can be derpy), but you still can scout (especially when not meeting T8 and T9s with CVSs)

If you use them as light ofc they bad, there are many prem light like elc what outclass them in spot. These tnaks are armoreless meds like borat just without autoloader. I really enjoyed these tank but only use them as lights when you remain the last light in the battle. The gun trollish yeah but still feel way better than boraat's. And actually with the tier 10 many time i could bounce shots with the turret and lot of people doesnt know about this fact, and they were suprised. Try use them as leo 1 with worse gun and they become much more useable, not OP but usable
I actually like the WZ-131. but i use it more like a medium. its dpm is shite but you can still use it cause 200 alpha isn't horrible. i dunno i just enjoy it for some reason
Statistically it is one of the best tech tree tier 7 light tanks. Max never checks tomato gg before making his videos.
59-16 is one of my three most fav tanks of all time. I love it with all my heart. Get that and ignore the rest of the line. 0,35 accuracy is good for tier 6, and dpm 2178. 450 view range, 37% camo with this kind of mobility (26.5 hp per tonne) and 62 kph. I have no idea what are you complaining about.
These are outdated, they used to have biggest alpha... The point about tier 8 premium mediums being better scouts not necessarily tells how bad those lights are, but how absurdly broken some premiums are.
Why some people play this tank? Some people like to feel pain...
by the way, t6 is rather ok with a stock gun. buuut, gold, of course:)

when this tank line was fun when the lights had the auto loader like the 59-16. but wg took the fun out of this tank 5 years ago, just like the bull dog when it had the auto loaders, but the developers are 2 dumb to make this game good,
You dont play those as lights in 80% of games, you play them as suport tanks in medium range like mediums. The guns are not very accurate at long distance but in medium ,and shots range they are ish. Oc course plying like this will drop your winrate but at least you can do dmg wiuth them. Actually theya re one of the best dmg dealiers in light categoy cuz they have better alpha and penetration than other lights in general, and also a little bit more armour ( especially the t 10 which have a medium tank turret). If wg would buff the dpm and maybe gunheandeling they would be decent mediums which ocasionally can spot just like a borasque or a bc medium...
I have 300 tanks in garage. Wz132 line is horrible, English gsor wheeled whole line is horrible, type 71 is horrible, pz 7 is horrible, type 5 is horrible, amx 30 is horrible

I literally grinded through it with no issues at all by just being more of a mobile medium instead of trying to scout and it wasn't rare for me to have 2.5k dmg+ games
Yeah sure I'm not spotting, but with the general way WG treats LTs I don't care about passive bush spotting unless the map straight out demands it
If your going to play this game, be rich and buy the D thing. Grinding will frustrate you to no end and you will quit. So to me the best thing to do is not even start this D game.
Aw, that really sucks they aren't good. I come from Blitz and they are actually quite good, that's just Blitz, WOT is completely different

obj 430U has better stationary camo, than t9 russian light and better than any chinese lights..... but t9 russian light is a good tank, but chinese lights....

Why you need that much of viewrange? Max. is 450m anyway
There is no such thing as max view range. There is a maximum spotting range which is 445m. View range past this starts to devalue the camo rating of the enemy vehicle.

To answer why anybody would wanna play/grind this line for me there is 1 reaspn and 1 reason only: alle the other LTs look like shit big time.
French, british and soviet line all really ugly mfs. US line looks like a toy, german line the same apart from t10 but t10 tank is also shitty. Czech LTs are really clunky with some fireworl guns, ill pass and all the rest has no LTs. Chinese LTs look at least like tanks and not like a hot wheel or a lego abomination. The outspotting part is what sucks the most. It feels like this is the only class where you get absolutely nowhere if you dont play meta or close to meta
why complain if your a top player your stats will always be great as wg protects your arse with easy mm against below average enemy teams lol now if you had full super unicum mm which u should have then maybe you could moan
CVS needs to be nerfed by 50%, enabled for all light tanks on tier 4 and above and removed from mediums.
