@Brian Lee, that's Mon Jiang nu ku chang cheng (Lady Mong Jian cries on the Great Wall). This tells the story of poorer people in China. I'm not sure in which dynasty though.

Her erhu sobs, whimpers, weeps, and probably sheds tears! Who says music doesn't cross cultural boundaries!
She has an awesomely precise and sublime control on erhu. She plays her instrument with such virtuosity, like if she was an Oriental Paganini.

Song Fei plays this very nicely. I love this song and this lady does no less of playing it beautifully and from the heart.
There is no such thing as who is the best .
Although played from an old recording with a lot of noises, it is still very touching. One of the saddest Chinese songs on my list.

Beautiful sad music played with the Erhu. It touches my heart and my soul. So lovely and mesmerizing and it brings back so much thoughts and memories.
