I watch a lot of the Tigers, there’s a lot of good players there, Bateman isn’t one of them. Very mistake prone. Tigers will get better without him. No offence to Bateman on a personal level, just my judgement of him as a player.

Wigan couldn't believe their luck when the Tigers took him - he was awful when he came back from the NRL.
I was listening to talk back radio and there was an old tigers fan that wanted Bateman GONE. He gave good reasons why. He also wanted Klemmer gone as well. This was a long time fan and he was adamant that if they dont get rid of Bateman that they would want Benji out. So this makes sense to me. This was about two weeks ago

From an Englishman when Bateman came back to Wigan he wasn’t exactly lighting the super league up was a very strange move from the west tigers to bring him back to the NRL, think NRL clubs need to do some proper scouting before buying English players

Bateman was a world class player in his prime at Wigan. He was the kind of player that never had a bad game and would always run and tackle above his size and weight, week in week out, and when he got the ball, he would make things happen. He also had immense strength for his size and would bust tackles every game. When he got that shoulder injury at the Raiders, he was never the same player afterwards. He came back to Wigan for a second spell and was nothing like the player that had left a few seasons earlier.

I think he will stay but it is a win for Warrington we've got a 8-9 injured players at the minute, Nicholson going to Canberra next year so we get to test out bateman and see if he's good enough to earn a contact for next year

Bateman when he came back to Wigan was poor we where all surprised he even got a nrl contract again
Agreed. He went from being one of, if not the best player at the club when he left, to one of the worst every week when he first returned. He never managed to get back to anything more than just average. His body looked shot. He played a lot of rugby from an early age and peaked in his early-mid twenties, a bit like Stuart Fielden. I think this combined with the shoulder injury he sustained at the Raiders, finished him off.
Why would you want to stay at that club?
It’s the same old story with English players at his age. They miss their family and want to go home, then they get home and miss the sun and want to come back
Won’t be missed. Only an opportunity for the Tigers. No looking back.

At the beginning of the season, we had so much hope that while this year wasn't our year, it'd be better than last year, and unfortunately all we've seen is the toxicity still exists within the club.

As a Wigan fan I was flabbergasted the Tigers signed Bateman. To all the Aussies hammering him though plenty have come over here & played far worse than Bateman for the Tigers.
As for Utoikamanu, others know far more than me, & see a lot more of him, but I don't understand all the fuss about him.

NRL 360 is so negative towards bottom teams, they cannot think positive for them and then say positve things to players coming in. like how good will it be for Api and Luai if they are they players to lead the tigers to semi finals and any player that leaves should be looked at less in their careers for leaving. say positive things not fucking negative all the time
He is the aort of player that puts your body on the line for the club. You dont do that when your club is getting spanked all the time. What is the point of getting belted over and over again for a losing team.
