There was a dog jumping around in my back yard I'd never seen before- I didn't even know how it got in?!?! But he was fast friends with my dogs boo and lilly! Which was awesome and they were all playing together like old friends it was really something... well I went to check his collar for an adress and to my astonishment the collar read "Roman" ... ... my brothers name.. Lord, I was FLOORED ...😢 just took my breath away...

I dedicate this song to the girl who was supposed to be my wife. I loved this girl so so much and I played this song on the beach for her when she lived in Cali, used to listen to this song while I called her and enjoy the sunset from Hawaii, I miss that girl every day after she passed
I feel for you bro song's pretty powerful just has this kind of magic about Them and the other bands that were doing similar things like sublime and stick figure and slightly stupid et cetera. They were all friends of Bradley Nowell and sublime & they stood on his shoulders in a good way keeping the sound going!

I had a similar experience with this song. The year this came out, it became my girl and I’s song as we cruised around Southern California, singing it together at the beach. I thought she was gonna be the one I married, the one I’d see everyday for the rest of my life. But it just didn’t happen like that. Life sucks that way. Whatever she’s doing though I hope she knows I still love her, and I hope she’s happy.

@@monkey_ish4117 yeah I got that. That’s why I said, “I’m sorry for your loss.” Obviously his situation is different and much worse. And my heart goes out to him. I just meant I had a similar connection with this song with the girl I loved, the beach, the phone calls. I thank god she’s okay and out there doing her thing peacefully. It’s just a special song in my life.
This song reminds me of the best friend I ever had and her husband. They moved around alot for his job. They ended up as my neighbor for 3 months. They became my family. Then they moved away to several different places. I visited them a couple times, in Indiana and Georgia. She died several years ago. I miss her so much.

This was the last song I listened to before getting out the recruiter's van to ship off to Basic Combat Training in 2010. It was on repeat in my head until I graduated and was able to listen to music again. I must have listened to it for two hours on repeat going from Oklahoma to Missouri. Definitely is nostalgic.

I listen to this song on repeat. Very loud. I introduced it to my son 5 or 6 yrs ago. He was 12 or 13 and he still loves it. He said it's one of those songs that just gives you goosebumps, you really feel it. It's so true. When you can sing along to the words it's easy to just get lost and sing it from the rooftops!
